Netflix needs to do this annually. The sanitized Comedy Central versions were garbage. This was fantastic and anyone clutching pearls over this are probably enjoying Elsbeth on CBS
The last 2 or so were very sanitized but the first handful or so they did were anything but they were great. Even the Franco one, which was one of the later ones, was still great, that’s a top 3 all time for me personally. Franco himself was horrible lol but every panelists there killed it.

I feel like the best-intentioned aspects of the “woke” perspective isn’t against saying nasty things, but saying them to make fun of vulnerated groups (based on economy, race, gender, sexual orientation, what-have-you) who will be unable to defend themselves due to lack of a platform and a risk of retaliation from more privileged groups. Roasts can coexist with said respect towards those groups.
