- Time to start the BUG OUT VEHICLE VIDEO SERIES.
A little over a month ago we asked if there was interest in doing a series on setting up a bug-out vehicle. So today is the first video of the series. We are currently rigging out the BattlBox 6X6 Jeep to be added to the series.
But what about the average everyday driver. Here is the first Vidja of an Everyday driver vehicle Bug Out Build.
You first need to think of a solid foundation for your build. Storage is a premium. These products Currin1776 selected as his foundation. If you have a pickup you're gonna want to check these products out.
We hope you enjoy the Vidja and we hope you continue to follow along with this build and be on the lookout for the 6X6 video. Its gonna be Awesome!
If you want to see a quick install and first impressions of each of these systems, there will be Vidjas on the CURRIN1776 UA-cam Channel soon.

Great ideas, well thought out! I want one now! All that's missing is a small trailer with big wheels and ground clearance to carry other things, or a teardrop one to sleep in. I'd add a small dirt bike so when the truck breaks down you can ride to get help or parts etc., or explore on a small amount of gas.
Yeah bright Red wouldn't be my first choice. But ya gotta use what you have, not everyone can just go buy a new truck. Good video.
I love this build! The only thing I would want to change is the truck color- that red sticks out like a sore thumb in the woods or any other place for that matter. I would wrap that truck in matte black it would be good to go! Other than the color, I would be happy to have that vehicle!!
Always keep some spray paints,GR ,tan brown, G2G 👌
Bugging out with Rebba would be awesome. The truck would be alright to, I guess. 🙂
I'm late to this bbq, but better late than never to comment.😁
I live in NJ and what I have done is, carry a bug out pack in each of my vehicles. Depending on the season, I pack accordingly. Plenty of water, non perishable nutritional snacks, tourniquet, IFAK, and cash. Backpack weighs 20 lb if I need to walk.
Jumper cables, flares, flashlight, empty 5 gal. gas can, wool blanket, socks, clothing, stay in a sealed bag/container in the vehicle. You get my point.
Great content btw. 👍
My everyday vehicle/bug out vehicle is named Bessy the Suburban, she's big on the inside and outside, she's reliable, she's 4wd, and she's got a 36 gallon tank.
Man I really miss my Suburban it had the 55 gallon fuel tank, and I could get damn near 700 miles on a tank, well I bet I could have gotten the full 700 miles if I wasn't such a lead foot, and riding the governor everywhere I went.
Just bought a burban to build into a capable family bugput truck.
I’ve been shopping for a 2500 ‘burb to build into a platform as well. They’re getting hard to find. Duramax swaps out there too! ;)
iv'e read alot of the comments, and to me this is exactly what i have been looking for. I imagine it costs alot. But I love having my tools and gear with me because i like to go on trips or just get away at the spur of the moment. as it is now i have an extended cab, and ive lost part of that room do to keeping bug out stuff there and i have bed box in the back filled to the gills . For me this setup would be awesome. Thx for sharing looking forward to more videos
10,000 dollars roughly
Well played Bro, Thank you for your video you're much appreciated. Better safe than sorry. You covered the 6 "Ps" as I learned in The US Army. Proper planning prevents piss poor performance !
Your rock solid.
Dude, one of the best adventure vehicle walkarounds Ive seen! Greatly aporeciate that you took the time to open things up and share the details. Great video and your truck is looking great!
76 Blazer. Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin! We call it the "Thrash Machine".
I guess the number one question, “ did it keep the bugs out?”
blah
Ha
Ha
And... "What kinda bugs? Skeeters, sweat flies, hornets?"
Lol
Aww....I see what you did there😏👉
Really nice set-up Brandon. Thank you for doing the research for us.
When you said "black is slimming", I almost choke on my four loko!!!🤣🤣🤣
4 LOKOOO 👌 Definitely one in bag ;)
I'm impressed. Very well laid out and planned.
That ‘Foundation’ you were talking bout is amazing! I didn’t even know half this shit existed. Looks like you put a lot if thought into it. Great Job 👍🏼
The ultimate bug out vehicle is the one you're in when it's time to bug out.
true that brotha
False. This kind of fudd illogical thinking is sad.
No, because 99% of them won't be going anywhere ever again.
@Chelle Bright no
No, that's just _your_ bug out vehicle. Smh
It's always good to experience new equipment and ideas. I watched and enjoyed this video.
Hell yeah that rooftop tent is badass, but I'm paralyzed so it wouldn't do me much good but it's super cool! That whole rack system is really cool!
The bottle opener and cup holders sold me on the decked system
Hi and thank you for sharing your bug out truck, Reba! Good ideas for having the things to help keep you safe, warm and alive in a bad situation. Or just a fun situation you're going on! The frame, deck and tent are top notch.
This is a pretty frickin awesome vidja right here.. I watched it all the way and enjoyed it truly, thanks for showing us Reba.
Your gonna need that truck soon
Yee Haa! Really like the Leitner system. Haven’t seen this one until now. Great video.
Bought a 98 Ranger brand new back in 98. After 22 years of being my work horse, it's getting a make over with: 3" lift, 33s with steel rims sporting 12.50 wide mudders, 1/2 ton Kargo Master holding 4 5 gal jerry cans, a 3x5 basket, and some recovery gear, a hitchgate for my spare, a steel big ass bumper holding my winch and light bar, and some back up lights bright enough to scare Bigfoot. A spray on bed liner with plywood mini cabinets holding a bed to sleep my 100# wife and me will keep us dry under my canopy. Added some small solar panels to power my Yeti to have some light when needed. If I pull my 5x8 cargo trailer, I can fill it with more necessities like ammo and food.
Nice rig. My F350 is named Matilda, we call her Tilly for short. She's been a great truck and has taken me coast to coast while towing a 29 foot trailer.
Whoa...my parents had a 1969 Ford station wagon with the exact same name and nickname.
Nice no one would ever see that truck hiding in the bushes
I had a 1971 Deuce and a Half, multi fuel that was cool to play with and all kinds of manly but my 1991 Ford Festiva will be my bug out vehicle.
I appreciate your insight of the gears and I will be checking those companies out. I was looking for a bug out equipment I can put into my truck and the way yours is made gave me a great idea thanks and I will be checking those manufacturers.
Great setup, thanks for the tour.
That tent is awesome love it man you’re the man in your truck she is sweet nice set up buddy nice set up that be great for having just go camping it’s self that’s so sweet
FYI...those big bulky tents you see are for families. The large ones cans sleep up to 6 with a vestibule. Great video. You’re on the right track.
Love the truck. I have a 13 Ford Raptor. Great ideas on your rig. Looking forward to more videos. Thanks
Should have done this long ago, little bit at a time, maybe its not to late, i got a old skool pickup that would be perfect.
Hell Pecker Yeah ! That's what I'm talking about!
I would argue it’s a great overlander bug-out…. After the EMP it’s not bugging out of anything. Need a carb and points for but-out
Gonna need a cow catcher to get through the zombie hords ;)
Add an O.D. tarp and some wireless remote surveillance cameras and you're ready to rock that pretty red truck.
😍
You did a good job showing this product…Brilliant!
Can't say I'm too much of a truck guy, more about building small fast cars, but I'd love to have a set up like Reba. Very nice!
i just love his voice, such a good narrator voice, i could listen to him for hours on end, cheers
Remember aim for his bright red fuel cannisters
100 Percent of what I was looking for! Great information! Thank you so much!!!!
Good presentation and a bit humour. You’ve got a well organized and feature filled Bug Out Truck and usable as an everyday driver. 👍 from 🇨🇦
Extremely Awesome!
I personally want to build a Tahoe or Suburban adventure/bug out vehicle. Basically the same capability offroad as a truck, but the majority of my stuff can be kept INSIDE the vehicle. I dont have to worry about weatherproof boxes, or even getting out to get into those boxes... I can just climb back and have access to it all. People looking at it just think its another tahoe with dark tinted windows. These truck systems are cool, but they show everyone "Hey, this person has a bunch of stuff/supplies" Trucks like these are highly visible rolling loot boxes. An SUV can look like a soccer mom car but actually be a rolling base camp.
Great setup. I only thing I would change was the color
The ultimate vehicle in my humble opinion is a pre ECU diesel! Fuel is fairly easy to make or come bye and then theirs always a gasifier which I have friends who've built and driven vehicles using this technique 1600 miles and they've passed on their knowledge to me & my associates
Thanks for this video. I’m trying to put together what I want to do with my future Gladiator. 👍🏻
Great BRIGHT RED "bug out" vehicle. Hopefully the people you're hiding from are color blind. :-)
Seriously - good build!
Good video. Reba is well thought out.
Betty White (my ‘16 Silverado) is set up with an ARE CX HD camper shell which has the internal aluminum frame and can carry #500lb on the roof as my platform. I have the toolboxes and solid doors on each side which act like the XL gear pod you’re showing here. King shocks, 35” bfgs, 14 gallon fuel cells (harbor freight), tools and such round out the baseline that I roll with. Don’t forget a gmrs and ham radio in the cab ;)
Always liked the Leitner design stuff and haven’t seen a video that puts the features to function like this. Good work.
That is a great setup you have and expensive. Don't get me wrong you get what you pay for and this is great but not many people can afford this setup. The tent and it being raised really has my eye though.
Thats where the whole 'ultimate' part comes in.
@@SheepAmongG.O.A.T I suppose you're right.
Ok, I won't judge you and say that that is an awesome name for a great looking truck, with a great little B.O.V. concept.
I will say sometimes it is good to be judged!
Live to Survive!
Ooh the color? easy to target from miles away!
interesting , Thank You. Good Idea
Nice set up. Looks great. Thanks for the information.
Bad ass man thank you for the info!
This set up is Super Amazing. I know exactly what I want NOW for my Dream truck setup for my bed & rooftop. Reba is beautifully done. Brovo brother. Brovo.
Brandon you guys rock! Reba is lookin’ real sweet. Keep up the great vigggaas.
Nice! I've always thought that I was a bit extreme carrying all the tools that I carry but, I hate being broke down!!! Your rig blows my daily out the water but, my car is not a bug out vehicle but, my daily. I keep a Complete tool set & many things to keep a vehicle running from air compressor, tools, jacks, stands, jumper cables, & much more but, Nothing like this!!! I need a truck!!!!!!
Outstanding presentation. Wow. Gotta copy this!
Love this series
Nice bruv! Appreciate you creating and sharing this content!
Peace out looking forward to the next vidja.
That's pretty awesome gear and storage. Great build.
Thank you for the vidjo. Lol. Yes, Reba is looking good and prepared.
I really suggest the Westin HDX grille guard. With or without the winch mount. It’s a cheaper alternative to a a full steel bumper. It’s bolt and is rugged and all welded one piece and not bolted together. Solid and you can get the westin hdx bolt on light bars in 6 or 10 inch pairs. looks bad ass
. Yea has!
Good suggestion. I don’t like the full bumpers as most of them look like bubba gumps lower lip😂 and don’t. Protect the grille & factory lights. How has the Westin held up for you? I need a bumper & grille guard as I’m tired of feeding the front end of my truck whitetail deer as I drive through Appalachia.
Very informative. Great system!
Very nice setup. I went the enclosed trailer direction and went crazy remodeling.
Dude, well done. Love your color commentary and light antics.
Great presentation, bro. I was just hunting around on the Leitner stuff and got more than I could have hoped for, plus some good humor in between.
Much appreciated. I've got the Decked System already on my 2018 Tundra, and it's great. This will be the perfect complement. Thanks for this and the great editing.
Very good video. I’m all about being ready to bug out! I would love to build a group of trustworthy like minded people to be able to have a off grid location that nobody else would ever know about.
Gotta love these "bug out" and "survivor" gears! Nice moving target you got there bud.
Love these videos. Thanks brother.
That was awesome, thanks for sharing
With all of those accessories this guy spent well over $7,000 on the bed storage. That's insane.
With no gun storage
Reba is redheaded awesomeness
This is awesome!
This is a really good video, love it!!
That should slip right through a check point undetected very grey man 🤔 but good video any way, great beard 👍
There are other things that ( slip) through check points too ,Some are even grey MAN ;)
Tank u fer makin dis vidja
That roof top tent has been on back order for years. 3500K for plastic top and bottom with 3 yards of canvas. I'll sleep on my ruck like I did for 20 years.
This should be put on a trailer. The stuff on this truck is cool. But that is all it is.
Putting my 78' CJ5 back together right now.
I love it. Amazing 👏
Holy southern drawl! My gosh! Is that the new 2020 Ford sore thumb?
Backwoods respect! Big ups bubba
I like the truck!
man, now i need a pickup truck so i can have this system! Nice!
Stuff was cool and I would love to have. Only problem I need a very good winning lottery ticket to buy. Let's keep these videos in real life. Just a salesman.
If you waiting for the lottery to win, you might miss the SHTF already. Just get your skill saw out along with a few outdoor screws, 2x4, and 3/4 plywoods and you can have yourself and draw system like mine on the 8' bed.
Why does everyone of these vehicles have a back board in the kit.
@@SimpleLivingForever $150 tops vs $1900 buys a bunch more needed items. Spare parts being tops to keep mobile.
One word....AWESOME!
Thats the nicest setup I have seen ! SWEET
Was a mechanic, now a salesman!
That’s a perfect color for a bug out vehicle
Great video. I wish you guys still had your TV series. God bless and stay safe.
MAN WOULDN'T THIS BE THE ULTIMATE SETUP WITH THAT NEW ELECTRIC FORD LIGHTING F-150
Love your RTT!
A GOOD WATCH THANK YOU!
Glad you enjoyed it!
We placed a small 5 gallon propane tank & a fire extinguisher on each side of the passenger side gear box
Love the video, I'm waiting on my buddy to sell me his f150 forget the year but shes got 2 tanks!!!. Also no offense but I will be painting her black, green, or brown. Like my canoe I rebuilt this spring which I painted british racing green with black gunnels(yup I know, they get hot, but guess what I got water to cool em down) stylish green color and ready to be hidden if necessary. Having the initiative in a survival situation is a life saver, in the words of Gandalf "is it secret? Is it safe?" Keep secret and keep safe.
Like to see it with a slide out refrigerator/freezer unit . That rack looks super functional .
Impressive!
Awesome set up.
Reba is looking sweet!
Just that roof tent alone is oozing with awesome 👌
subbed!
