Well done both of you going out on a cold grey and damp day. I find conditions like that quite demotivating sometimes! The power station in the distance is Fiddlers Ferry at Warrington. I used to go birdwatching at a place right next to it with my dad. 🙂
Not sure if I've already acknowledged your comments as not got laptop at mo. Just to say how nice to have childhood memories of places seen or visited from the past. Thanks for sharing. Still chuckling from your last upload on Holme Valley and your narratives on experiences. 😂
Sorry you didn't have a great day weatherwise Shanita, but you both certainly made the most of it as there was a lot to see and enjoy here. I visited Rivington Terraced Gardens once back in 2016 when I walked up to Rivington Pike and Winter Hill. I remember the Pigeon Tower on my route back from where I walked through the gardens. Nice to hear "Subdued" again as I remember that from one or two of your earlier films, always liked the guitar sounds you use in it 👍
Hello Patrick. Subdued has had a few plays but new tracks now on the way. Helps out when I get behind. Iv also walked up to Rivington Pike on a longer walk with a walking group but not really explored the Japanese Gardens. Hope you are now getting better and thanks for keeping in touch and support.
Hello Shanita, this is my neck of the woods! Been up to Rivington barn for a cuppa and not been to the china gardens, i think we couldn't find it at the time. Nice to go up there when its dryer, i think we didnt attempt a walk up to Rivington pike as it was rather boggy. My hubby loves camera's, i wonder if he will treat himself to one soon, he has a pension pay out in April so you never know! Lots of best wishes, enjoyed watching, hubby will be watching this evening as I'm sure he will like this one as its only a short drive away!
Very handy for you Anna both living so close to Rivington Barn. I have been up to Rivington Pike previously but never seen theJapanese Gardens. Interesting you couldn't find it either. I know there are several entrances to it but not clear on their diagrams for directions. Glad you enjoyed watching and hope your hubby gets his new camera.
Its a popular for family days out with a busy Barn cafe for drinks. So its nice for a days out visit. Pity about the weather which was not forecasted again.
Without doubt my favourite local place. Still not been up the Pigeon Tower yet, or to the Light Show in October. Always wanted to get up early on a summers morning and have a swim in the Italian lake. Good clear images with your new camera Shanita.
I thought it was local to you . Just a pity about the weather. I walked up to Rivington Pike a while ago with Sale Walking Group hike of 9 miles. Unfortunately my old trusted canon camera got dropped and broken. I wasn't sure I liked my new updated Canon G9X version and much heavier, but pleased with results on screen..
Hi Shanita and Michael We are 2 Oldies enjoying your style of walking videos We particularly enjoy Shanitas laid back comments for example is that a hill are we going up it ? or one of my favourites What is the attraction of that moor ? Michaels reply Ive never been on it ! Maybe we have come across Michael before as we live in this area and have been adventuring since the 1950/60s but i was stockport based i wanted to tell you that we watched the video about The Delph Donkey we enjoyed it but I wanted to let you both know there is a You Tube video of the Oldham Tinkers singing The Last Train to Dob Cross has Gone which is a song that can make you feel really sad ! and I know Michael is familiar with the Oldham Tinkers as I am seen them since the 1960s Thanks again for the videos keep them coming we enjoy watching them with our chilled out lunchtimes Cheers mike and julie
Hi Mike and Julie. I smiled at your comments regarding the communications between Michael and myself. Our conversations and my filming are spontaneous, and yes I do sometimes come out with comments which seem to amuse viewers. We are quite opposite in some ways with levels of experience though. Glad you found highlights regarding Dob Cross and the Oldham Tinkers. It's so rewarding to read comments like your and to know the pleasure shared with others. Cheers and thanks.

It can't always be sunny.
True but would be nice if the weather forecasts got it right for a change!
