Thanks... good to hear , I also installed the stage 3 upgrade myself this year but the turbo packed it in with only 400 miles on it 🤬 .was told something broke off inside my motor and went thru the turbine side and knocked it out of balance.(the size of marks questionable to me ) so do I gamble again with another turbo from Martin or put stock turbo back in . 08 sky with only 40 000 miles on her. Now at 60 - 40 with big wheel turbo but..... by the way your videos awesome ! helped me decide to do the upgrade myself so Thanks for that 👍👍 ✌️😎.
Russell … the upgrade has been pretty bullet proof for me but is agree that quality and survivable components are necessary. If you are not in a restrictive market like CA and aftermarket version may be a better option with an external wastegate. Failing all of that a LS is also an option.
Thanks for the new spec. on the spark plugs. I will try that. Did you try the vacuum hose on the spark plug trick or didn't I explain it well enough? This trick will also keep you from cross-threading your spark plugs.
I have a couple of things that may help you. If you use a piece vacuum hose and plug your spark plugs into it,.Then you can easily install your spark plugs. Also the dieelectrectric grease you talk about needs to go inside the coil packs where they go over the sparkplugs. Other than that a great video.
Yes I goofed there with the grease and should have put it INSIDE the boot ... brain 🧠 failure there ... also the GM manual says NO ANTI SEIZE and at the same time says 0.045” gap on the plugs. The 0.032 was only good for about 2 days and I tightened that up after talking with William Kotz and now run 0.028 on the plugs and with 23 psi super clean and no more spark blow out.
Yes I was still trying to get the tune sorted as I was not completely happy with the performance and figured it out just today ... I never verified the wastegate actuator preload and it needs to be 1-2mm per GM and mine was actually not closing the Wastegate at all ... it was still not very snappy but would make 20psi of boost after correcting the adjustment ... BOOM 24 psi and tire roasting fun! Dyno soon ... I promise !

I would like to speak to you on the phone to hear your personal opinion of the stage 3. Rpms owner stated I would be around 350+ RWHP if I installed his Stage 3. Sorry for the slow reply. I like the big wheel upgrade and it holds 23 psi boost all the way to 6700 rpm. Please reach out to me through FB messenger. I would believe the 350 HP but I have not dynoed the car yet ... I just took it apart to upgrade the trans cooler so will be a little while for a dyno day.
@@350tiger thanks for getting back to me. I deleted my Facebook account and pretty much have no use for Social Media or Big Tech companies Stealing my personal info. I did speak with Rpm Motorsports about the Stage 3 upgrade. I was told everything to be done was direct bolt on without any Fabrication. But after watching your Install videos, I Now see that I wasn't given 100% accurate info. I also read on UA-cam that another guy who installed Rpms Stage 3 stated the tune they gave him caused his engine to knock etc. The guy said he had to take his car to get tuned properly. Has me a little worried of whether I want to chance a remote tune.

I have used that hose trick in the past with fuel line on my old. V8 Monza and did not have any hose handy but it is a fantastic and easy option!

When talking about your WB B1 table he said 1=12.7.. did he mean 14.7? 14.7 would be lambda
Yes you are correct 1=stoiciometric
So Lambda 1.0 = 14.7 Stoichiometric AFR
