I don’t think Kratos was harping too much on Mimir doing bad things, just that he felt a certain revulsion to a creature being enslaved like he was enslaved. In the end he recognises the grown in Mimir as he recognises it in himself.
Hearing Kratos call him brother. My heart ❤️
56:37 And there's the mandatory Boat Captain reference. Love that guy.
Odin has a tight hold on their world and eyes watching everywhere. They have statues of him because they fear him. Durlin had to say out loud he wasn’t in the business of crossing the all-father anymore while secretly helping you find Tyre.
I don't know if I'm correct, but that poem you found while freeing the creature is a reference to The Last of Us. There are 9 poems total in this game and each one references another game. I know for sure one of them is dedicated to The Last of Us, I just can't guarentee it's that one. However, if you read into it, it seems pretty clear to me that it is. If you know the story of the game, that is. Pretty cool, huh?
Cory barlog dropped the ball with those poems since he didn't include dmc in this game since if it wasn't for dmc this game wouldn't be as popular and they are tied in numbered games
@keithcole8536 a real shame. Didn't prince of persia also influence the game? Regardless, I guess he should've included it. Should we blame the main director? Since Cory didn't direct ragnarok the same way as 2018?
@NetterSR8459 nah but people forget certain stuff that shouldn't be forgotten
This one was for The Last of Us 2. "Part the Second."
I literally just finished part 2 and was expecting to have to wait a week for a new one, was all smiles when a refresh gave it to me right away!
I understood what Kratos was saying to Mimir in regard to the enslaved creature. He was referring to the chaos blades that Ares used to enslave him, though Kratos quasi brought it to himself with his war ambitions. But he was sympathetic to the creature because he experienced it first hand to be a slave in a way
If I remember correctly, the cranes and pillars you can shoot with the sound arrows from Atreus bow is just to break them so those spitting enemies can't climb on them or when they are on them to break it and make them fall down, I don't remember it having anything to do with puzzles or traversal.
39:30 each of Kvasir's poems is a reference to a different videogame 🙂 The title of the poem is usually the title of the game written in a different way: We Who Remain = The Last of Us
According to Norse myths, a Lyngbakr was a giant whale like creature which would disguise itself as an island to lure men on ships to make land on their backs at which point it would submerge and drown them. They were said to swim around the seas of Greenland.
Likely as a cautionary tale to protect the island for themselves
I've been watching you for a while but never actually interacted with your channel😂❤ you always play the best games!
Lol i love Eralia calling out Kratos for his hypocrisy. Im here for it. Defend Mimir!!!
1:33:33 No, he's talking about her Leviathan Axe.
Can you hear the drums, Fernando?
Happy that you are doing the side quest!
It is like the story about elephants and ropes.
If you aren't familiar, it is said that elephants that are bound young will not try to break free when they are older, believing they still can't.
Go to screen calibration! It looks like maybe HDR is on and its broken? It definitely looks way darker and washed out than it should.
1:20:20 there will unfortunately always be people complaining about that. But then, there are equally as many people if not more who enjoy them and would comment begging for you to do them. Luckily, most of the side quests in this game are quite varied and arguably more fun than the side quests in 90% of other games these days. Plus, they give meaningful context to the world and the characters' motivations.
1:10:53 kratos is talking about the events in the comic mini series (if im not mistaken) to get a better idea of what hes talking about. would recommend taking a look, if u get the chance. its quite interesting.
1st = That shield you have absorbs damage while you block then you slam it to the ground to let out a huge burst of damage. And 2nd love the content, already watched you play ME2 ME3, God of war and now Ragnarock. Who knew a tuff military girl would be such a softy and give off so many tears, are you ever like this in deployment
PLEASE break the pottery along the way. it will give you hacksilver and healthstones. Also, you really need to be watching the attack arrow all around Kratos.. that'll help you get hit less. There's an accessory option that allows you to automatically collect the health stones and rage stones as you walk by them. I put it on, so you don't have to either forget to get them or just waste that extra time. It really is a great option.
I feel like Detroit: Become Human would be right up your alley with how intriguing you play each of your playthroughs
He tried throwing the Blades away in the comic Fallen God. They’re forever bound to him
Love your videos while I’m at work, we own a lot of the same games lol.. I can’t wait to see your final armor set! You got this💪🏻❤️💯
Hellooooooooo Eralia ❤I really love your videos, the way you do commentary. Everything is perfect!
Love you from India
I've been so excited to see you learn more about Mimir! I was wondering what side styff you'd do in this game, i know LP wise it can be best to focus on the main story, but the side content for this game is great!
Not saying this to start drama, I'm currently awaiting an autism diagnosis, which I most likely have. But there is sort of a problem in modern society of wanting to diagnose everyone with autism/ADHD, or saying everything is a symptom of either of those two
Like I saw the comment you were talking about, and I rolled my eyes when they described it as "tic". Like singing is clearly something you enjoy, you're just doing something you enjoy, that doesn't mean it's a "tic". A tic is for certain disorders like tourettes, ADHD and such, you can only have tic's if you have one of these disorders. I do wish it was one thing that was different about society, as the amount of things I've seen people try to say (non-jokingly) as being a sign you're neuro divergent, it just causes issues for people who really are as no one believes ya any more
Honestly, personally my way of handling side stuff is to firstly do what you want, this is your playthrough, play the game how you want. But also, people who do not want to watch side stuff can just skip those segments/videos, but those of us who want to watch it cannot do so unless you upload videos of it. So if you want to do it, many of us want to see it, and those who do not can just not watch it, eh, I see no harm in doing it instead of skipping it for a vocal few
Hope you catch on to the references in Kvasir’s Poems. Each collected poem comes with the book cover back at Sindri’s home
1:11:49 Dayum... that was savage
Hey er i gotta tell ya to not to forget about truly looking everywhere because you will be surprised to see what you find in the world
Those poems of kvasir actually refers to the other playstations games, It would be great to see you try to guess each.
"Yes, our first Troll fight of the game!"
1:57:09 The game literally and figuratively "Trolled" you.
The VASES have things not the boxes. You get all the boxes and ignore all the vases
33:27 Damn, I don't think I caught this either first time through, but this has some pretty horrifying subtext.
Eralia: Yeii, i love fighting trolls.
Game: First and only troll in entire game.
There's one in midgard
All of Kvasirs poems are PS games in poem form! See if you can tell which ones which!
Yay !! Got something to watch tonight 😊
1:44:40 damn that was a nice throw! it was kinda far too
you really should try the parry shield. it may be the best shield.
Go to the visual settings, go into screen calibration and turn HDR off.
It's probably a problem with the monitor, too, since you should be seeing it normal, and we should be the ones seeing it "colorless"/"contrastless".
Frogman needs to be on apple music 🎶
I love your videoooos, greetings from brazil
My two cents on Mimir's lyng akr incident: Kratos was feeling his feelings about the situation while also tempering what he says, which must be difficult for a god of war like him. He knows Mimir is just as upset about it but it cant be helped due to Odin looming over everyone all the time. But still, Kratos could have been better about this but at the same time I can understand his reaction to it.
Oh man I remember Potter Puppet Pals haha
And you should absolutely play the Souls games! Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne are peak Fromsoft imo
Yessir!! Let’s go Eralia ❤!
Did you just sing Hamilton in the middle of the video? Fascinating! I love it here hehe
Yeah, I fuck with Mimir heavy but you have to look at it from Kratos’s point of view. He just found out his best friend enslaved an animal, essentially paralyzed it (he can’t move much at all), and broke it mentally. They’ve been friends for years at this point (god knows how long that thing has been in chains before their friendship) and Mimir knows almost everything about Kratos from legend and sharing. That Mimir keeps this shameful moment to himself for so long is indicative of how much it hurts him, so I always give him that credit. Kratos doesn’t string him along for too long and he doesn’t think less of him but if it was me I would definitely be upset and give my friend a little shit about it for an hour while we figure it out lol
Eralia! they say if you beat Sekiro you become a real gamer!
(HINT FOR STONEWALL SHEILD) I’m not sure if anyone in the comments mentioned to you yet, but the Stonewall shield while you’re holding block your shield absorbs the hits and your shield starts to glow orange and when it is fully charged up, you can slam it on the ground and send your enemies flying in the air. I hope this helps.
The singing tick might be a military thing. Keeping yourself occupied.
Nope. She explained it pretty early in the video.
Besides, a lot of people do it for different reasons.
Singing helps to ease things up when you are afraid, it helps when doing everyday chores or just out of a mood... a lot of reasons for singing. It is fun.
Excellent, let's go 🪓❄️⛓️🔥
1:11:13 Kratos answers the question you asked seconds after.
Don’t bash on Kratos too much and feel sympathy for Mimir both did terrible things and both are trying to make up for their actions. We love character development
You made me laugh with that rond Weasley joke 😂😂, the puppet pals video is where it’s from 😊 im 33 so i’m old your not that old 😆🤣😊
Love your content girl but damn pls use your shield more please 😭🙏🏾
Waiting for the next part like 🫣
Hola! For the washed out colours, Check the HDR settings maybe. It might be set to HDR but monitor isn't HDR enabled?
I kinda wonder how long it'll take her to pick up on the different combinations... Because it was like, halfway through the game when I realized they actually made real gameplay differences depending on certain things
49:22 Don't worry, I got it. We're not in boomer territory yet, dammit! 😂
This game is so damn quotable! Especially the DLC. Get ready to transcribe the whole DLC because it's glorious.
One must have intention, reason for wright or wrong for consequence?
beautiful earings
Life is Strange is definitely a game for you
I always turn off motion blur and film grain in games
13:49 inni di beninging
Man, after playing the prequels you have been harsh in your judgement of kratos. Very critical of him in everything he says
Goated game
some tips for your first paythrough
1. opening the realm travel gate restores health and rage, even if you don't go travel
2. the stonewall shield charges as it gets hit and the shield slam will get stronger based on how many hits it takes
3. Blades are best for wretches (little lizard guys). i see you love the yoyo but just keep swinging and you will hit them eventually
4. there are so many side quests to take I hope you play through them all even if some are off camera
5. the burrowing creatures must be hit from a vantage point that is behind them
6. destroying boxes and vases can give silver rather than the orbs of previous GoW games
7. keep having fun
@ 2:04:26 nah sis that's Ruby from Steven Universe
Good morning eralia
I prefer to play on classic controls in god of War ragnarok, and in 2018, it's in the settings in remapping
Bring on the Dark Souls games! DS1 has the best opening hours, Elden Ring has the best combat, Bloodborne has the best atmosphere, Sekiro has the best focus.
I always turn film grain and motion blur off. Seems to look more to my liking that way..
Same. Always the first two things i look for in the settings and if present, turn it off.
@27:00 mark… they were trying to tell you (in a subtle way) that your singing can be annoying at times. Especially when you either sing over important dialogue / or miss information that you would have otherwise paid closer attention to.
She may miss it while playing, but I think she still gets the information because of what she discusses during the intros and outruns of her videos because she’s getting the information while watching back her own gameplay while editing as well.
Oh and not everyone finds it annoying…
you find it annoying yet here you are still watching
@ joeb918 - Perhaps you are correct. Your evaluation might be better than my guess.
It's my birthday! 🥳
God of War > Dark Souls
Also you should try Black Myth Wukong
I really wished that you get the poem when you're done with it 39:41 since you're such a huge Last of Us fan ...
Well you just made it explicitly obvious
Thats a Quality Brok impression 😂. Your a trip.😁
Hii Eralia❤️
I really love all your playthroughs and I have a suggestion on what you could play next :)
Life is strange is such a beautiful and like until dawn a „butterfly effect choice“ based game
Hope you will read this
Yeah, I was upset mimir enslaved a whale. Duh.
You missed something good where the second mining rig you shut down was.
You should sell the shattered runes btw, their not used for upgrading or anything.
It's wild that English is your 2nd language. You speak it so fluently and naturalistically. You also read it incredibly fast. Very impressive. What is your first language, if I may ask?
2:20 if the world thing was knocking... Brace your self
Graphics settings: change "High Frame Rate" to Off. Keep "favor perfomance"
That makes the graphics worse, that's what favor performance means
@hippityhoppity5823 No, perfomance mode on this game runs at dinamic 4k( 1800p - 2160p) and 60 fps. Quality mode runs at 4k(2160p) but 30 fps. The resolution has a minimal diference on perfomance mode and you have 60 fps. High Frame Rate Lower The resolution to 1080p.
49:20 i'm 18 and i got that reference lol😂
39:01 eralia i really love your content but you didn't recognize something very very important Masterpiece
Also can i give you the game series that helped made this game series great
I hope you have a singing tic cause your singing is very skibidi rizz sigma if you will. Also the poems are a collection and each of them is a reference to other sony exclusives
We need more Red Dead Redemption, seems like it's getting put on the back burner.
Guess she forgot to loot😂
1:29:54 say Krishna instead.
So completely nothing to do with video and no idea if someone in chat/discord or comments have mentioned it but Kratos didn't kill all the Greek Gods...he left one alive...just "slayed" her (Over exaggerated wink) 😅
You need to back to Cyberpunk soon. It isn’t the same game it was at release.
Gotta disagree about Kratos not having a right to say anything about mimir doing what he did. Yeah he was angry but for good reason. Zeus betrayed him, he was tricked into killing his family, they banished him to hades multiple times, and was used by the gods only to be abandoned.
Was Kratos right for blindly destroying Greece? Nah ofc not but if the gods didn’t do him dirty none of that would have happened.
Wrong is wrong
Yeah these character writing's seem a bit off , im guessin Sweet baby inc. ?
so glad you are back love the content 🖤
Hold…devils…pot of MEAD 😅🍺
@eralia ❤
