Lyrics/Letras:
the missing
he's missing... they took him away!
the last days
the sinking shunned
the last rites
of what we have done
so watch yourself
and watch what you say
the martyr dies
so what's at stake?
he takes it for granted
his time's gonna come
he's missing... they took him away!
watch yourself!
the missing!
he's missing... they took him away!
the last days
the time has come
the last rites
of what we've become
so watch yourself
and watch what you say
the martyr dies
so what's at stake?
he takes it for granted
his time's gonna come
he's missing... they took him away!
watch yourself!
they took him away!
Back when crowds went fucking mental instead of filming with their phones
I still don't get how they could be so strung out on dope and be this precise live
Guitar is like a muscle memory if you play long enough you can smoke shot snort or do anything really and still be able to play guitar it's like riding a bike
That's insane how perfect they are playing on that high level of heavy hard drugs
Al literally composed and produced while totally strung out... 🤣🤣🤣
Only a couple were. Bass, at least one gutair and both drummers weren't.
You clearly haven't done many drugs. Sometimes it just locks you on point...other times Not so much
I was a barback at the Ministry/Skinny Puppy show in Pgh. I loaded beer cases in the pre-stage room. Al Jourgensen asked me if I had any heroin. I did not.
this song is F__king HARD!!!!! pure energy!!!
It's hard to not be spurred toward frantic violence while listening to this.
damn this song has way more energy live
A lot of Ministry songs do! 🤘🍻
Still SO good.
Always got a kick out of seeing Tezz Roberts peacocking around at the end of this song 😄
My favourite version of The Missing!
I fucking love this song. finally found a music app that had it. FUCK YEA!!!!! I FYCKING LOVE MINISTRY!!!!!
My favorite polka.
Where are my clogs?
LOL
The Beer Barrel Missing Polka.
Totally
me TOOOO! Missigg org, teth , but best even 2020 !!1
Classic Ministry, fucking love it.
Now that I think about it, this live was their peak.
Just seen them live in Houston and they played this along with Deity. I loved every second of it. Absolutely still one of my favorites and intense energy!
The two songs go well together!
As soon as they start playing all hell breaks loose, fuckin' savage!!!
fleshypuppet yep! That’s exactly how it goes down. Women and children hide and run, gtfo the way!! It’s goin down as soon as that drum hits lol!
That must have been a sick show... love the lack of stage security and the free-for-all on stage between the fence and the audience. That's what it's all about.
Twitch came out before than and that would a solid album but I agree ...they did get great in 87.I think the addition a Paul Barker really helped as well
Oh man, the good old days, when music was bad ****ing ass!
Bryan Ferry on drums!...just keeeeeding
Tengo el show completo en VHS en 2015 visitaron la Argentina y concurrí al show me partió la cabeza en vivo
besides being one of the best albums of all time, this album is also an awesome workout...crank this shit while pumping iron and you will see results!
Ministry didn't get awesome until 1987, when past RevCo member, William Rieflin & Co. joined AJ.
Indeed! Ministry only got cool when they amped up their guitars!
Twitch was a great album especially if you like classic Throbbing Gristle sound and other acts like Einsturzende Neubauten, Front 242 etc.. But yes 89-90 tour is prime
Probably my favorite.
God bless Uncy Al.
Al jourgenssen es un genio
hell fucken yeahhhhhhh
I saw this tour in Baltimore.
I saw them two nights in a row back then and have tinnitus to prove it.
none of those bands have the sonic depth, intensity, and creativity that ministry strived for.
Hail Scaccia!!
Here we are 20 years later and music will never be this hard again, ffs they needed a cage to protect the band members. If there were cages now it would be to protect the group from covid19.
I think the cage was to protect the audience 😂😂😂
If that was a joke, it wasn't any good.
The fence wasn't to protect the band from the audience, was the other way around :).
At least they were generous enough to toss almost full bottles of whiskey into the audience when I saw them on that tour.
Que canción tan tierna y linda, esta para ser tonada de despertador 🤘😈
This video is BOSS!
RIP Bill 😢
numbers# houston tx six hits of acid ministry going off probly the the best times of my life!
This one’s called the deity! 😂
By far one of thee most radical shows I’ve ever seen.
¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Excelente!!!!!!!!! que bien, años que no veía este video, fue uno de los primeros videos que vi de esta banda, para mi; uno de los mejores tema de Ministry, thanks
Great representation of the times. Good memories.
Saw them Live at lalapalooza in the 90's fucking 40 min set. But still damn fun.
Oct 2021 Reviviendo el video..
"He's missing! He's missing! They took him away!" I wonder who is "he" and who are the "they" who took him away. I find these lyrics mysterious.
@cherice816
BIG TIME! It must be because of both drummers. I don't know how they do it, but it's awesome!
Who are “they” and where did “they” take him away to? Love it!
В передаче Городок даже эта тема есть. А именно в выпуске говорит Городок
SEÑOR DE SEÑORES ... AL JOURGENSEN EL T1000 DE LA MUSICA , INMATABLEEEEEEEEE......
Pinche musica chingona!
Intense...
Back in 96 maybe. Houses of the mole` tour st Andrews small venue just crazy bloodshed and brutality 4 all. Great show
Due to recrudescing military and televangelist dictatorship in Brazil, if you play or sing this song in public nowadays, you will probaly become the missing yourself.
I wonder how many mass murders Ministry has prevented
but ya. hardcore punk rock man... all the way.
najbardziej odjechamy kawalek jaki znam
I would like to know how they came up those hats idea ?
RE PIOLAA GATOOOO
@uncleal42 Hell yeah man Martin Teaches or Etertainment Media Business course, it's a Bacheolr's program. He also lectures in the Contemporary Music History class on punk rock because he grew up in england during the days when it was all happening, the New York Dolls Sex Pistols and such. He's cool as hell, down to earth, and has a sweet accent lol
la patah!!
:)
This is awesome.
Question: Obviously the video is from the live performance, but is this the studio version of the song with just some added crowd noise at the end, or is it actually live? It sounds a lot like the studio version, doesn't it?
no.
No. This is exactly how they sound live!
God dammit I need to move to Wisconsin
I love ministry
sorry.
@robtville666 Cool, I grew up in the SoCal hardcore punk scene and it was a lot more violent, fun, crazier and more interesting.
@robtville666 British accent Im guessing? Hes like 5o something right.
Help, can you get this on dvd?
Jason Cleaver no shit right!! That would be great!
Why they didn't play"Cause we're in love again" and "Oceanside away"at this show?????????????
hIgh az a kite
@real80smusic Then he has some sweet accent correct?
Sick, one the best lives for drink cheap booze.
@robtville666 OMFG for real?
because it's easier to invest money in 3 minute songs with simple lyrics and easy to rabble rant along 2choruses.... so the people who own the rights of these songs are continuously getting work for the next wave of 13 year olds who aren't exactly bright enough to think for themselves or make educated guesses involving musical depth thanks to the american status quo and disintegrating school systems.. not to mention business men don't want to invest in music that makes you question their system.
@uncleal42 doesn't sound brittish
More muppet songs ...lol..lol...xxx
@cherice816 I'm a little teapot short and stout/ Here is my handle/ Here is my spout/ When I get all steamed up/ I will shout/ Tip me over and pour me out!
@Hotelmotelkfc I wouldn't call Tommy Victor useless, but to be fair, the albums since Filth Pig have all been crap.
Fuck Yeah!
get your ads back 2 Grown with I & bruse suka
yo Al
Is this song about children that have been kidnapped by the Catholic Church?
Vergaaaassss
non better.
dude. you really don't understand the concept of time do you?
modern generations have nothing in common with the generations
you are talking about. holy fuck. especially the specific cultural
sects you're referring to.
those bands are no longer relevant to the lifestyles, issues, sounds,
and cultures that are in our world today. they're all from another
time zone. VERY FEW bands ever attempted to connect to a future
audience. one word: inTerNet. those bands you're talkin about...they're done.
you're joking right?.... seriously? is this like 7th grade? My Dad can beat up your Dad? you gotta be fucking kidding me. Music is measured by creativity... and... 1987 - 2004. ... these guys ran circles around... most bands - creatively speaking - and it's awesome to know it still goes over the heads of punk jocks. is it even legal to be a punk jock? isn't that like hypocritical? i thought punks were supposed to be interesting.
Country music has turned to shit since then 🤪
Bass wasn't, one of the gutair wasn't, both drummers weren't, and Al J is Al J.
