I'm surprised this is your first time seeing the MantisPod. I've had mine for over a year and it's great and super versatile. I do kinda wish it was longer with just a little more reach (a la SwitchPod) but it's a good compromise. The only issue I have is that there is like a 1/32 wobble on the stem where the ballhead meets the legs mount. And I'm surprised Peter put the phone adapter on an ArcaSwiss plate because the one that comes with the MantisPod is designed to secure in the stand without an adapter.
I, 100%, will never get tired of “what’s in my bag” videos. Thanks for sharing and showing some different stuff that I didn’t know about! Looking into the freewell magnetic filters now :X
Wicked setup, man! I love how dedicated you are to optimizing every aspect of your bag. Most underrated recommendation in my eyes was the backpack clip, that's a total gamechanger for run and gun.
Some cool little gadgets in that bag. External camera clip (hadn’t thought of that). But very handy. My bag never feels to heavy until I put my laptop in it. That 1 piece of equipment can make all the difference in weight.
Peter...another truly awesome video... with that clip from Joshua Tree with you and that tripod is that when the tripod goes from Mantispod to the "Preying Mantis" [ channeled Tom] 😉 as you looked like you were going to attack your camera... Seriously, one small suggestion you might consider... Building your own "SSD" namely starting with ACASIS USB4.0 M.2 NVME SSD Enclosure (40Gbps) [which is TB 3/4 compatible] and using Sabrent 2TB Rocket Q4 NVMe PCIe 4.0 M.2... The speed difference will amaze you...plus it will take up about the same volume as your current SSDs in your backpack! Just some food for thought!
I've had my PGY Tech OneMo for about a year now and I absolutely love it. I've been a huge fan of your videos for a long time and really enjoy watching them. Keep up the fantastic work. Maybe some day I could meet and fly FPV with you! Safe travels, and keep up the great work!
The thing is, most youtubers just bring a camera and lens as their gear. In reality or pro work like a wedding..we bring lightstands, diffusers, light sticks, 3 to 4 lights, audio, drone, and the camera + lens. What i noticed with new shooters is that they just bring a camera + lens for pro work which makes me smh. Photo and video is about light and you can't rely on luck to get good lighting. With that out of the way, i enjoyed the video. Always have respect for PL for his time and the effort in making these videos.
Pretty neat man! I just got my Mantispod and I'm already hooked on it, that thing is AWESOME! And looking at this video I'm thinking: damn, I need a new bag. ;-) Keep inspiring!
HA! Peter's care of the spare parts and being predictable if any trouble arrises, is the same with my music gear when touring. Spare... everything except instruments maybe..
I tried and didn't like mantispod at all... I would rate it 5-6/10. it is too wobbly for my taste. For smaller cameras - maybe but for a7 series cameras its not stsble enough. Tripod is synonim of stability for me and that mantis is not stable. Though overal aesthetic tasteful but here the form was more over function. 1:38 yes Still in search for mini tripod
Hey Peter - I bought the original Freewell ND set and also the latest all-in-one freewell (thanks to you) and the ring of that thing is HUGE! Do you use the lens hoods on your lenses? and if you do - how do you put them with the filter ring on? Do you actually unscrew the filter ring, screw in the hood and then re-screw in the filter ring?
Tjena Peter! Fan vad snygg och handy backpack! Back to English - Does it fit the standard airplane dimensions to be able to CHECK-IN with the backpack? If that's a yes, it's a buy right away for me!
You guys are hilarious! Neat video! Is this the 16" M1 MacBook Pro? That would be a plus for the bag as it does not fit into the PeakDeasign backpacks. #GAS
Peter, which ND # and size in mm am I looking to get? I have a7s3 with 16-35gm lens. I don't understand numbers and sizes so if you could help please it'd be appreciated
@@PeterLindgren1 Okay. I’m comfortable understanding 82mm. what do you suggest for nd strength? it is for video logging primarly outside when its sunny. i’m going to europe so it’d be for outside vlogging on sunny days. i’ll buy whatever you recommened.
Peter Awesome job! Your channel is one of the inspiring ones that I follow to be honest, starting on this journey, step by step. I have a long review about the same backpack, check it out! Love is always appreciate it!

How is it so enjoyable to see other people talk about their gear year after year? Great video Peter!🙌
This is a tourific camera bag tour! Thanks for all the gear- er, I mean memories. 🥸
😂
Tom, I know you are just trying to bag some memories... You didn't even have to check it!😉😉

Great ending. Only thing that could top it is Tom immediately released a video reviewing his new 400m lens.

This is so awesome. Welcome Peter glad you made it over
Excellent Video, and Excellent Advice On What To Have In Your Camera Bag. Thank You.
wow a small bag and huge collections of things in it...great
The charging in bag is a straight up genius idea. I do use a battery bank and charger, but a permanent setup would be amazing!

I like the Peak Design camera lock at 02:07, seriously need one of these for when I’m traveling.
I can’t deal with heavy camera bags anymore. Mainly because I’m also carrying radios which just doubles the weight. 😬
Just picked up an A1 3 months after this, and waiting for that review!!

I use that same camera bag and I love it! I use same filters, and same SD card case. Same camera lol nice! A sweaty beast! Great video!
Awesome! You did not mention the mic though!!
Sony ECM B1M, Use it for everything!
It's amazing bag, I have one it too. Was looking for the perfect bag - it's very versatile.
It really is!
Yup... Tom will pack MOST of it back. He's such a team player helping out 🤣🤣🤣🤣 yup mhmm🤣🤣
love this kind of content. thanks m8
Have you tried the Peter Mckinnon Everyday carry bag? I just picked it up and absolutely love it.
*I HAVE this Camera Bag and I LOVE IT. STILL Have it. I use this as My Everyday backpack for well Everything lmao.*
Love the camera bag!
I got mine last week :) Now I have to decide between… Peter McKinnon, the new Peter McKinnon or any of my other Nomatic ones.
Hej Peter.
Awesome video.
so you don´t travel with a bigger tripod?
Tack!
Such a great gear conversation! 👋🏼🇨🇦
Peter= Optimized Camera Prime
Now that you have had both, pro tactic 450 or the PGYtec? Is the 450 bigger? I’m running out of space in my 450.

Another banger. Great bag
Which quick release clip system do you use Peter? The Peak Design or the PGYTech?
Hye peter we have same camera bag.. And now im considering the 1635 zeiss lens.. Thanks for your Recommendation its is very budget friendly 😊
*_Danke, das war wieder ein sehr gutes Video_*
Thanks for the video. So which bag and inserts is this. Maybe I missed it but I did not hear you identify who made Peter’s camera bag.
Should we get an apsc or full frame when we are starting photography ... if we are good at capturing with phone ..
Oh, you can attach the PeakDesign Capture to this backpack after all.

Pro tip: Mobilhållaren till Mantispod går sätta direkt i "mountet" utan en snabbplattan ;P
So the mantis pod does work with the peak design plates? was always curious about that.
This was great!
You know what I’d like to see.. Lindgren x PGYTech collab backpack 😈

I’d say that you need a bigger bag for that lens!
@@PeterLindgren1 thank you for your answer, some advice on bigger bags?
I’ve had several issues with my peak design capture coming loose on my pack straps. I think I like the pgytech beetle a bit better
Not once has mine come loose!
@@PeterLindgren1 i had to crank mine down multiple times on our Disney trip, and I started out with it very much clamped tightly.
@@joshua.butler the hand screws. I’m sure I could crank the heck out of Allen keys
