Even with less dynamic range and issues with the highlights I would be more than happy with that to bring back the skin tones to a more natural look. Thanks for all these videos. We have been binging them this week and really appreciating all your work! A 907 guy the past 12 years, but was born and raised 605 west of the river.
awesome! i have a friend that actually that did the opposite and came from the 907 to the 605! good stuff. i agree with those skin tone comments. i've really been happy with the natural profile tones but if anything maybe take some magentas out in the profile settings. it can run a bit on the magenta side. that's been my biggest issue.

As you said, once you white balance and light it well then the results are great. New subscriber/ video pro using GH5 and G9. I love your channel. Thanks for sharing so much of your findings in such a clear, easy-to-use way. You’re good what what you do!
I use the Natural colour profile. I shoot concerts, live theatre and dance shows primarily. I need my videos to look very much as the audience saw it. When I edit my chief concern is colour correction and matching cameras. I also change the master pedestal to -15 as I find the GH5's crush the blacks.
Natural and v-log, since I've found the perfect corrective luts to get a quick start, I really like shooting in log. Also, I wanna improve with colorgrading and therefor log is just great. Natural is very nice, cause I sometimes just deliver footage, and not everyone wants the hussle of log. Keep up the great work, really like your channel.
yeah definitely use what works for you and i really like your approach on continuing to learn to color grade. that’s always a learning process for me! thanks for checking out the channel!

Nice. I was using Cinelike D but then realised that all the changes i kept making to it in post were basically the same as just using the natural profile. I'm all for a simple workflow, so...i change to natural about a month ago. To paraphrase Spiderman's uncle..."With great power, comes great amounts of time in post production faffing about with sliders". (...i have to say, there's a massive amount of UA-cam accounts that go on and on and on about colour correction, and i think a lot of them end up just looking like one of the standard built in profiles, so i've always wondered if it was just about cranking out some content on colour correction, but anyway, i digress). Thanks Caleb
😂 love the spider-man quote! yeah i think there are some colorists who do amazing work and i’m grateful for them but sometimes i just want to get a vid out man! nat helps me do that with great colors already that are easy to adjust
It’s a great profile. Glad to see someone singing it’s praise! Standard and Portrait too. It’s funny how less is more just works. This is a great video. Love your footage. Those colors look deep and rich! Can’t wait to use your LUT. Thank you!

Now i find that natural color profile giving me much more cleaner result in noise and color, and more easy to grading. But beware of clipping highlight. Good content Caleb. Nice job.
yeah definitely no rush! when people ask whether they should get it i usually say when your ready cuz being in video, i think it's important to learn about log footage and how it works.
I use the natural color profile with default settings but adjust the hue levels depending on skin tone or to get the look I'm going for; it's mostly either -3 or -5 hue for me. Other changes are made in post if necessary. I only color grade and use LUTs for cinematic videos. I don't use LUTs for landscape or scenic videos to keep the colors accurate and as beautiful as possible; a quick color correction would suffice.
After some tests I found Cine V better in low ligth, it make sense, since Log V is bad because has intrinsec low contrast, then Cine V with your great natural color contrast brings excellent results.
yeah v-log is almost unusable in lowlight. that’s interesting about cine v i might have to try that out more. i don’t think i’ve ever used that in lowlight
it's still there but less than cine-d i think. try taking the hue down a notch. i've been playing with that a bit and seems to help the tones in natural.
Agree about V-Log - but I find Cine D grades very beautifully. Better than the other profiles in my experience (or ability) but very noisy in low light, so tend to Natural in those circumstances.
Think it's the best profile for most shooting for me , speeding up time on grades is a plus , fab video on the GH5 as always, LEARNING every day ! thanks

I pretty much use 3 profiles. If dynamic range is within tolerance, natural. If I'm only filming cooking videos Rec709. If I'm outdoors and lots of highlights VLog all day.
Hey, Caleb. Such a timely video--I was fiddling with the Natural Profile earlier this morning! Love your work. I use Natural and back off the settings a little, -2 -2 -2 -1, and I think I get better skin tones with Hue -1. Oh: Should I leave Noise Reduction at 0? Thanks, man. Great Zebra tip.
whoa! that’s awesome! i actually had someone else tell me about the hue at -1 and how they like that on skin tones. for most of the shooting i do i’ve found that noise at 0 works fine for me but i’d encourage you to play around with that setting a bit and try it or leave it where you have it
Natural profile with -3 on highlights in highlight/shadow can help take the edge of the harsh highlights a tad. It doesn't result in anything too dramatic but it does make a difference.
is the "natural" profile the same on all lumix/panasonic cameras? i am interested if the "natural" profile from the lx100 should be the same as the "natural" from gx85.
Hey, I just picked up a GH5 a few weeks ago, and it is the first camera I have ever invested any money in. Your videos have been super helpful in dialing it in and learning more about the camera. I just downloaded your custom LUTs today and applied it to my most recent video. Shooting in the middle of the day without any filters on a kit lens, it really helped make a good picture.
Appreciate the video. Just subbed man. It’d be nice to get more into the exposure/zebra/skin tones. I understand you don’t want to flip the highlights but to show exactly what you mean and how to do that in situations would be huge. Appreciate you man, underrated channel 🍻
Awesome content as always my man! Definitely love shooting in the natural profile and do for 90% of what I shoot for literally the reason you mentioned.
Nice video! I'm just getting started on stuff like CineD, Natural, and color grading. However, in all of these videos, I see that in the picture profile settings (in the camera), everyone tells you to lower the sharpness to -5 (the minimum). But why is that? Is some sharpness given back when applying the LUT? Or is it just that the Lumix cameras are too sharp with the 0 setting? I'm rocking a G85 with the Panasonic f1.7 25 mm, and with that setting I find the image a little too soft. Would appreciate your feedback!
definitely find the spot with sharpness that you're comfortable with. i personally like a softer image and i feel lumix is a bit sharp. but again, find the spot you like
😂 i’m not sure about perfect but still! yeah someone totally attacked the beard! happened awhile ago not sure on what vid but just now recovering from that comment 😂
OMG just found your channel and I'm wondering how on earth you have so few subscribers.... Maybe need to change to iguana hunting :) joking. i appreciate that! i just kinda started seriously posting this past november so hopefully the channel will grow. i might look into that iguana hunting! 😂thanks for subbing!
Excellent stuff my man!!! Been using my GH5s for a while and recently tried grabbing an a7iii. Love them both but I agree, can't beat that awesome GH5 life 🤙 Oh and I don't love vlog either lol 😂

How do I dial a LUT back 60 - 70% once I've chosen one from Davinci.. I'm experimenting with your LUT pack with the same natural settings. thanks again Caleb. :) keep it up
I just got my gh5, I've watched lots of videos and found out that indeed, natural profile is the best. I am not hard-core colorist and my camera even does not v-log...lol so it's good starting for a beginner, but as you said, natural profile takes pretty easy different luts and it really works good for me 😊
A suggestion/request for new content - We know that GH5/GH5s had a great VFR mode for slow-motion, whereupon using the appropriate slow/fast percentage we can see the slow/fast pace video in the recorded file. However since the fast/slow is already been written to the video file in VFR mode, that footage may not be so good for doing speed ramping effects on NLE. As per my understanding, say if I record 60 fps directly instead of using 24 fps and doing a VFR to mimic as 60 fps - that footage with (direct 60 fps) is much better for the doing speed ramping but it may not vice-versa for the VFR footage. So could you please make a video on this topic on when to use the VFR and when to shoot directly with high fps (for speed ramping), some tips, pitfalls, quick customization options, editing on NLE, workflows, etc ?
Wow! Caleb I'm also a gh5 nerd been shooting with this cameras ever since the hyped gh2 came out. Great chanel. I also use natural and v-log l. But natural is been my favorite ever since gh3 came out with this color profile.
I've been using HLG on my G9. DIfferent camera but same color science as the gh5. The hlg gives me all that nice dynamic range of the Vlog but it feels easier to grade, I can convert it to vlogl if I want to and the colors are actually pretty similar to the Natural color profile.
It just requires a quick 709 conversion in post which you can do with a lut or color space transform and a bit of contrast adjustment and you get the colors of that natural profile but with less noise (better dynamic range so you can expose over by almost a stop more) and more room to play with the colors too. Definitely a great color profile
thanks for sharing! i definitely haven't spent much time in hlg but i've heard some good things. i'm gonna have to go play with that a bit cuz i like the thought of that dynamic range that I'm not getting with the nat
@@CalebHoover I am trying to edit my g9 footage on the ipad pro with lumafusion now. Treating it as a super mobile video shooting and editing solution. It's making me rethink hlg as even with 10bit support the way the footage looks in camera and in the editor differs a bit too much and the color grading tools in lumafusion are.....kinda weak. There is actually a really cool tool on ios for creating luts (literally called video lut) that offers some crazy good tools, but sadly doesn't support 10bit footage yet so that limits it's usability somewhat. So I am thinking of going to natural for anything that I'm shooting and planning to edit on the go.
I currently use Vlog and am.really happy with the results. However, I will give natural a try as getting the best results is the name of the game. Thanks dude for the excellent video.
Thanks for the tips, really useful. Man I gotta play around with the settings to find what works best for me. I've used Natural in low light on a GH5s with good results, but also shoot a lot of skiing in very bright, high contrast situations. I usually use VLOG or HLG to an Inferno for these situations, but I tried Natural on the slopes yesterday for the quick turn around. Some of the footage is good, but I got much more noise in dark greys, reds and blues than I'm used to. I was shooting 4k60 in camera at native iso ⅓ - ⅔ stop overexposed, profile contrast set to -5. I get significantly better results with VLOG/HLG/Inferno in ProRes, but was kinda hoping I wouldn't! I didn't think that there would be a noise difference in good lighting so maybe I've mucked something up? If others get good results in extreme DR settings with Natural, I'd love to know how.
I like natural for speed (especially nature/b-roll) , and cine d when I know I'll have time and will want to tweak color. Though the first thing I noticed watching this video is that your skin tones seem to have a magenta cast. I dunno, maybe it's my phone screen. Beard looks fine tho
I have been struggling with the Cine D. I will be looking more at the Natural and your setting. Thanks. I downloaded the free luts to my Windows at work. Meant to download to my mac at home. I'm editing on Mac with DaVinci 18. How do I install? Thanks again.
Nice video! I have seen all your videos! One question: Why you using - 5 sharpness at NEUTRUAL profile? You think gh5 is very sharp so you want more flatten and soft images at video? Your answer will be very useful. Thanks!
Thank for this new video! You are the best! By your video and your work, you make us better with the GH5! Your experience is bless water to us! Merci beaucoup :) one more thing your Lut is georgous, it fit so good in natural and vlog profile! I'm just making friend and familly video as an amateur but you can be proud of you with your channel! 100% usefull! 😘 Take care of you and your famZ! You prononced very well "Tanier" à la française 😄
Thank you for the helpful video! Does this information about the natural color profile and your luts apply to Panasonic Lumix G85 as well? Or was it meant only for GH5? Also, am I crazy if I like to shoot in VIVID profile and then do nothing?
So glad to find this channel for delivering fresh content even for a 2+ yr old camera! I upgraded to GH5s recently, does the same picture profile [Natural : Contrast : -2, Sharpness: -5, NR: 0, Saturation: -1, Hue: -0] gives the similar better results compared to other picture profiles on GH5s ?
i think it will. there should be too much difference between the gh5s and gh5. i have noticed a bit of a difference with the gh4 and gh5 nat profiles tho
Hey Caleb! I just shot (and posted) a bunch of Natural profile stuff on the GH6. What are your thoughts on using Vlog vs Natural on the GH6? Thx! Love the vids.
@@royaboat5315 Hey Roya! I think Log is better if you want control later and natural is the best if you don't have time or sometimes skill to match it. I just did one on natural and one in vlog for those eaxact reasons recently 😀
@@jeskid cheers 4 reply. yep...havent really learnt how to use LOG...if you know any instructional videos? Im thinking that with GH6 Prores 4k with natral profile & correct exposure (using Caleb Hoovers tutorial with grey card, waveforms, zebras etc).....that I should get a nice result :-)
@RoYaBoat happy to help! I am no expert but if you want to eyeball it as well, just use the same lut you will use later, and the camera will show you what the vlog can look like if you choose. My most recent Freddy Krueger sketch uses vlog btw and I used that method.
@@jeskid Freddy Kreuger - nice. that sounds a rippa. yep - was gonna use the LUT fro Vlog when time comes. more so going with natural for meantime and getting right exposure with that. whether i use grey/ white cards with or wthout VLOG. iM trying to learn about Calebs IRE 40 AND 42 settings and whether they appply more to the general exposure or is it more the skin tones? :-)
I use like709 profile in GH5. I like this profile most, best Skintones (not that red tendency like Vlog or cine D). -2/-5/-3/-3/0 (Sharpness value depends on the lens I use and NR depends on the light Situation). Perhaps I am on the wrong way with like709, but I tested the profiles and I am most happy with it.....
Do you can set the contrast in like709? In my gh5 its greyed out. I saw in terms of dynamic range, that the natural profile is as good as like709, but only when in like709 the knee-setting is scoped as possible. With knee off, the highlights tend to blow out faster, than in natural profile. Did you make similar experiences?
@@jankla4419 You cannot set the contrast. This is no issue. Yes, highlights blow out, if you don't set the knee. But the look is a little bit more nicer for my experience. This experience concerns Cine D and Like 709. I don't use natural.
Hey Celeb, love the channel and learned lots thank you. Wonder if you can help because I haven’t seen any answer to this. I bought a GH5 mark2 as a second cam. I use it as a primary and have it on Cined like the other GH5. I’ve noticed a real issue with the skin tones. Really noticeable dark areas in the shadows on the skin and also overly saturated colour. Especially with brides who usually wearing fake tan. Never had any of this on GH5 on same settings. What you think? Noticed anything like this?
Switched to natural profile and never used the cineD ! I use cineV in low light though ! Appreciate your thoughts ✌️ A quick question ! Can I use these luts with davinci resolve ?
even tho i personally don’t use it that much i’m still glad that i bought it because it helps me understand how log footage works and learning about the colors. probably don’t get it until your ready to spend some time on it tho. you can do some really great things with log footage

Another great, informative video. Just wondered... I’m colourblind and struggle to create a “look” in post. Apart from general corrections, I tend not to grade. What do you think are best “out of camera” settings and why? Thank you, I love your videos!
I use CineD ALL the time. I’ve never tried Natural but I really want to try this now. Do you think the G85 would match the GH5 well using Natural? I use the G85 as my B Cam but its magenta is really annoying sometimes.
Thank you for this video. I have referred back to it many times and have seen a noticeable improvement in the quality of my shots. Do you happen to take any stills with your GH5, and if so, do you use these same profile settings? Thanks again!
i don't actually take stills. i'm sure it would be similar but the good thing is is that you would have raw with stills so you could get more from it probably.
I take primarily stills and when I discovered natural for video I naturally started using it for stills. I hardly touch raws anymore. For stills I notice I add sharpening but I'll leave that up to you. I like using either Natural, CineV, and a modified Standard. These all look very similar (keep in mind I don't have hue adjustment on G9): Natural: +2, -3, -3, -3 CineV: 0,0,0, -2 Std: 0,0, -4, -3
Took me 6 hours to watch this fail! 🤣 look at that shout out! That’s a cool idea. Killing it dude, killing it. I have a similar mind set for my Sony m. I shoot in No picture profile or PP1 a lot because I just want a simple lite color grade. When I had my G85 I shot in natural as well.

is -2 contrast, 0 highlight, 0 shadow, and -2 saturation? I am just trying to figure out what numbers you all ar talking about. Thanks for the answer.
i recently got the GH5 and you have helped me alot thanks ;- )
glad the videos help!
Thanks man! Very helpful! Just bought GH5 and trying it in action. Rewatching all videos which I saw last 3-4 months.
awesome!
The natural picture style is what I use even though I don’t know a lot about it 😂😂😂 Keep up the good work.👍👍👍
😂 awesome! yeah the the nat is great for quick stuff
Hey, I just picked up a GH5 a few weeks ago, and it is the first camera I have ever invested any money in. Your videos have been super helpful in dialing it in and learning more about the camera. I just downloaded your custom LUTs today and applied it to my most recent video. Shooting in the middle of the day without any filters on a kit lens, it really helped make a good picture.
awesome! glad to hear those helped! have a blast with that GH5!
Hi there from France! :) As usual your tips are useful. Thanks for sharing again ;)
thanks again for tuning in!
Definitely love shooting in the natural profile and do for 90% of what I shoot for literally the reason you mentioned.
awesome! thanks for tuning in!
Thanks!!! Caleb I just brought a gh5 your content has been very helpful.
Would appreciate your feedback!
definitely find the spot with sharpness that you're comfortable with. i personally like a softer image and i feel lumix is a bit sharp. but again, find the spot you like
@@CalebHoover okay, will do! Thanks!
your beard is perfect! who is talking trash?? great video man!
😂 i’m not sure about perfect but still! yeah someone totally attacked the beard! happened awhile ago not sure on what vid but just now recovering from that comment 😂
Thanx bro :) I'm still rocking the G85 but working hard to get a GH5. Thank you for the great tips :)
awesome! i really think some similar principles apply.
OMG just found your channel and I'm wondering how on earth you have so few subscribers.... Maybe need to change to iguana hunting :) joking. I'm a proud owner of a GH5 and just subscribed because just by watching this video I know your channel is a gem for my work. I'll watch more of your work tonight! Thanks my friend, and I really hope your channel take off, you deserve it!
i appreciate that! i just kinda started seriously posting this past november so hopefully the channel will grow. i might look into that iguana hunting! 😂thanks for subbing!
@@CalebHoover I started like a year ago, but with COVID my frequency is all messed up. I think frequency is really important!
I usually use natural but portrait and standard is definitely not bad. My only question is that why do you not reduce noise reduction.
i found for how i shoot and a lot of situations i’m in for shoots that the noise level has been fine
Excellent stuff my man!!! Been using my GH5s for a while and recently tried grabbing an a7iii. Love them both but I agree, can't beat that awesome GH5 life 🤙
Oh and I don't love vlog either lol 😂
😂 yeah sometimes v-log is a battle 😂 if i did more photography something full frame like the a7iii would def interest me more. such a great camera tho! gh5 life i like that 😂
@@CalebHoover yeah i have really enjoyed the combo, they seem to pair well as a deadly run and gun duo :)
love the channel and video man, gonna go check out more of your stuff!
How do I dial a LUT back 60 - 70% once I've chosen one from Davinci.. I'm experimenting with your LUT pack with the same natural settings. thanks again Caleb. :) keep it up
i don't use da vinci so i'm not totally sure in that program. there's got to be a percentage slider somewhere in there. thanks for downloading!
@@CalebHoover yes I found the slider on davinci. Keep up the good work. I've subbed 😊
@@elzycollins awesome!
So could you please make a video on this topic on when to use the VFR and when to shoot directly with high fps (for speed ramping), some tips, pitfalls, quick customization options, editing on NLE, workflows, etc ?
great idea! i’ll add this to the list of ideas and see what i can come up with. very interesting concept thanks!
@@CalebHoover Thank you very much ! So excited to see the video !
Wow! Caleb I'm also a gh5 nerd been shooting with this cameras ever since the hyped gh2 came out. Great chanel.
I also use natural and v-log l.
But natural is been my favorite ever since gh3 came out with this color profile.
awesome! yeah as you can tell i really like the natural but i totally understand different profiles for different situations
Thanks dude for the excellent video.
thanks for checking it out! natural might not be for everyone but i think it's really a great profile
If others get good results in extreme DR settings with Natural, I'd love to know how.
if you're going for the dynamic range, natural is definitely not going to be the best option. snow is the worst!
@@CalebHoover yeah, I'll be sticking to VLOG and HLG for super bright conditions.
I came to you to learn how to properly use V-log.
Ended up not using V-log.
🤷♂️
I have used cineD with default settings. I will try natural but so far the cineD has been great.
yeah cine d is great! and if it’s working for ya, definitely keep on that track! it has a lot of flexibility
great stuff Caleb. Im subscribed. um - any thoughts on GH6 natural Vs Vlog? :-)
I like natural for speed (especially nature/b-roll) , and cine d when I know I'll have time and will want to tweak color. Though the first thing I noticed watching this video is that your skin tones seem to have a magenta cast. I dunno, maybe it's my phone screen. Beard looks fine tho
maybe i just got out of the shower and my face was still red!! 😂
I have been struggling with the Cine D. I will be looking more at the Natural and your setting. Thanks. I downloaded the free luts to my Windows at work. Meant to download to my mac at home. I'm editing on Mac with DaVinci 18. How do I install? Thanks again.
BTW great wide shots in the video 2’30” onwards, the boy and across the river, can I ask what wide angle you would use here ? thanks Caleb
Nice video! I have seen all your videos! One question:
Why you using - 5 sharpness at NEUTRUAL profile? You think gh5 is very sharp so you want more flatten and soft images at video? Your answer will be very useful. Thanks!
Ive been Using cine-d for a while but now I’m curious to try natural 😄
i've been getting pretty good results with natural but i know it's not for everyone.
You prononced very well "Tanier" à la française 😄
i’m glad the videos are helping! thanks for sharing about the Lut! hope you can use that a lot!
Also, when using the Natural color profile on the GH5S, you get less noise in VFR mode compared to V-LOG L or Cine D.
yeah absolutely !
Another great video Caleb! Thanks for the great tips and ideas. Might switch back from LOG to natural, at least sometimes ;)
yeah each one has a place and time that's for sure!
Thank you for the helpful video! Does this information about the natural color profile and your luts apply to Panasonic Lumix G85 as well? Or was it meant only for GH5? Also, am I crazy if I like to shoot in VIVID profile and then do nothing?
I appreciate your tipps. You rock!
@@CalebHoover 👍🏻
Hi Caleb, what are your personal settings with your Natural profile, like contrast, sharpness, noise reduction, saturation, and hue?
Hey Caleb! I just shot (and posted) a bunch of Natural profile stuff on the GH6. What are your thoughts on using Vlog vs Natural on the GH6? Thx! Love the vids.
Hey Jeskid.....I am deciding the same b/w natural Vs Log. any further thoughts/ replies from Caleb? :-)
Perhaps I am on the wrong way with like709, but I tested the profiles and I am most happy with it.....
good word! imma have to try that out!
@@hydrazine4400 thanks!
Hi. Known bug for Cinelike D2 on the GH5M2. A firmware update (V1.2) is available from Panasonic Lumix support website.
I use cine d a lot as it is so flat and in my oponion is better for heavy grading. I use it togethee with dehancer most of the time.
Switched to natural profile and never used the cineD ! I use cineV in low light though ! Appreciate your thoughts ✌️
A quick question ! Can I use these luts with davinci resolve ?
Do you recommend to buy the VLog? I had gh5 for 8 month now and I wanted to buy it but not sure yet.
even tho i personally don’t use it that much i’m still glad that i bought it because it helps me understand how log footage works and learning about the colors. probably don’t get it until your ready to spend some time on it tho. you can do some really great things with log footage
Good day Caleb I was just wondering alongside the Natural profile does both the GH5 and GH5S have a Neutral profile as I would be using it alot as I use the Neutral profile on my Nikon D5500 camera when filming.
i think the one that would be closest might be the standard. Or you can adjust the levels on the profile to try to match it up too.
Nice! I've been using cine d on my gh5 but when I tried natural color profile, man I'm telling you I don't want to use cine d again lol. What can u say about meike cinelens on GH5? Thanks man great video! Cheers!
i haven't actually used the meike cine lenses but i'd like to get my hands on them!
do you just go natural all standard? or turn anything down like the sharpness etc... ?
Does anybody have a v-log-l to 709 natural profile conversion?
I'm not at just one profile, I use natural, CineD , CineV and for some shoots its Scnry but Also HLG. I'm no pro, so cant get the HLG to look and feel the way *I want*. I feels like it takes to long to tweak it *right*. Its the greens the don't work for me in HLG. I'm
Another great, informative video. Just wondered... I’m colourblind and struggle to create a “look” in post. Apart from general corrections, I tend not to grade. What do you think are best “out of camera” settings and why? Thank you, I love your videos!
There is one benefit to using Cine-D or LOG profiles - if a client is watching you you can say "look how pretty I made it vs. how it was!"
thank you for your gh5 videos !!
My pleasure!
I use CineD ALL the time. I’ve never tried Natural but I really want to try this now. Do you think the G85 would match the GH5 well using Natural? I use the G85 as my B Cam but its magenta is really annoying sometimes.
Yo Caleb what settings on natural profile u use on S5IIX
keep up the great vids!!!!
i appreciate it!
These all look very similar (keep in mind I don't have hue adjustment on G9):
Natural: +2, -3, -3, -3
CineV: 0,0,0, -2
Std: 0,0, -4, -3
Can I use your luts with the g85
I use lumix s1 and love the natural profile 👏🏻❤️
awesome! it's a great profile!
I also use natural
Ciao un saluto dall'Italia, e' un anno che faccio prove con tutti profili colore della GH5 e per me i migliori sono Natural e Cinelike V
thanks for watching!
I use the cinelike color profile
stupid question. Is V-Log only for 4K All-I? Can I use it for 1080p 10bit?
should be able to use it
what machine do you use for grading? i have MBP 2014 its impossible to edit
i'm on a 16in macbook. late 2019
Natural Baby! (-5, -2, -5, 0) Its where its at...even though I use the G9! Blessing!

Does this also apply to the GH4?
totes!
What settings did you use for this tutorial?
i dont remember 😂
U think natural will look good for music videos??
yeah i think itd work great. especially if you want a more contrasty look
Caleb Hoover thanks bro! That’s the look I like!
Yup
👍
Took me 6 hours to watch this fail! 🤣 look at that shout out! That’s a cool idea. Killing it dude, killing it. I have a similar mind set for my Sony m. I shoot in No picture profile or PP1 a lot because I just want a simple lite color grade. When I had my G85 I shot in natural as well.
i was wondering what took you so long! 😂😂 jk. wanted to make sure you were in the first set of shout outs!
Caleb Hoover honored thanks
Nice tips Caleb!! A comparison between Cine-D and Natural would be great. Specially the low light part you mention. Maybe switch between both depending of the light can be a good choice. Goof job! Cheers from Barcelona ;)
this is a great idea! thanks for sharing! yeah cine d is so great but i’ve had trouble with it in low light so i would be interested in testing that out more comparing them. also hope to take my wife to barcelona some day soon!
