For being a PS1 game, the graphics are incredible for their time. I just started 9 for the first time earlier this year (the PS4 version, though I did find an original PS1 copy at a gamers convention last year).

Honestly; if they do release a remake, they need to keep this art style. Sure, the gameplay graphics could be improved and make the areas real 3D, but don't mess with the story or make it more realistic.

I just finished it for the first time. Ohh my God honestly it might sound crazy but it could be the best game that I ever played. And it was the first game were I ever cried. And the cutscene look so good! Sure outdated and but honestly it still looks great. Shame to this day ff9 is so underrated.
I think that FF9 is the most magnificent game I ever played. The city of the king Cid always comes to my mind after these like 20 Years. And English is not my mother language. So that I'm never understood ALL the history when O played
