The hot topic across the wrestling world is Sting's final match. At the scrum that followed, Tony Khan spoke about wanting Sting to continue in some capacity with AEW. Vince Russo and EC3, two men who know the WWE Hall of Famer very well, spoke about how he never loved the wrestling business, like some others, such as Ric Flair and DDP.
Also, Russo tells Dr. Chris Featherstone in this edition of The Wrestling Outlaws how AEW star Darby Allin made a huge mistake in Sting's final match. And no, it was not the death-defying spot that everyone is talking about.

Surprise! To some people it’s just a job, and Sting is smart. He retired with lots of money, he is not severely injured or on drugs. That’s a lot more than most wrestlers can say.

Sting said that all what he knew about pro wrestling was the WWF and that some of their wrestlers would go to the Gold's Gym that he was managing and that he got interested in getting into it after having attended one of their cards . He didn't watch it or lived it as a child like Ric Flair and Terry Funk did , but l think he did came to love it later on , specially after starting to wrestle for TNA. lf he wasn't loving it at that time, he would've retired much more earlier and wouldn't have debuted in WWE. He does love pro wrestling, but not as much as Flair does that he can't leave it behind, or as a Terry Funk did that made to stay active until he couldn't do it physically anymore.

The most hardcore fans cannot seem to handle the fact that not every single person in the wrestling business is as obsessed as they are, these fans seem to have the delusion that the wrestling business is a magical fantasy land. Why would it be though? In reality it is a dark sleazy business that has a lot of downside to it, the proof of this lies in the fact that so many wrestlers have dropped dead before the age of 50, and that is no coincidence,. it's all because of the business.

Im glad that didn’t happen, and I’m glad Sting had his Hollywood ending. He’s my all time favorite wrestler, and after the way WWE had him go out, he was almost owed this ending. Couple things-
First, enough with the 2, 3, 4 minute soliloquies Chris. We’re definitely not watching to hear you go on and on. Be the host, give your quick opinion, and pass it to the guys in the business.
Secondly, it is HUGELY insulting to hear that the Owen Hart tragedy was a “freak accident”. It was not that at all. Like you said Russo, Gene Simmons did it a thousand times. The difference was, Kiss’ rigging team actually knew what they were doing, and would never have cut corners to save a few bucks in exchange for possibly costing a man his life. An accident would have been if Gene Simmons fell from the rafters with proper rigging. We know without a shadow of a doubt that Vince McMahon cheaped on the carabiner for the sake of trying to make it look better when he unhooked it at the floor. I do believe it was accidental- but a freak accident it definitely wasn’t

I believe they should’ve had Darby turn on him when he announced he was retiring, you know like saying why are you leaving all I’ve done for you I’ve been carrying you all this other crap! Have a match after that and then Darby takes the other two and retires staying at revolution but I’m a good note when they hug it out have a speech say this and that it’s been my pleasure we had her up and down sting bows out and leaves

Long hair NWA Flair still hasn’t been surpassed. The greatest of all time young and peaking. Had the biggest mouth and he backed it up.

Who are u Vince Russo ajjjaj, Sting is icon of WCW, but u killer of WCW. Sting loves wrestling more than u. Sting is professional and that's not meant don't love wrestling. That like childish idea. Who is in there ohh ec3 biggest overrated of wrestling business. Who re u and how u talking like that. Sting more than valuable to your life. Stinger splash might be bigger than your miserable wrestling career.
