We can actualy explain why Armor Mothra (Mathra Leo) can be light speed AND be faster than light at the same time (sorta). Their speed of light could be different from our universe because the different laws of physics they have, like in DC comics where the speed of light is actually immeasurable due to it being tied to the speed force.
