I have spent weeks... watching 100+ videos about the GH5 comapred to other cameras, sample videos, footage, reviews... but THIS was sex to me... and now I am getting the GH5 because of this video!
Okay, hands down that is the best GH5 footage I have seen thus far. Awesome job! The last thing I will say is when Panasonic sends out the GH6 or other cameras in the future to be tested by people who Vlog you should be the first one on the list.
Amazing, very cinematic shots, great colour grading, looks like proper hollywood film. I think technology is here, now only creativity what make different from others. In my opinion GH5 is an amazing camera and to see even higher quality it would require the camera costing 10 times more and the difference will be very small. Good job.
It has been 5 years since you uploaded this video to UA-cam. I have only just stumbled on this masterpiece just now. I would like to tell you that in the past 5 years of me watching different creators' work - there has been no one that has created such a quality video, even though some use current-day-ten-times-the-price cameras in comparison to this one. You sir, are an artist.
Great and beautiful footage. I am a Fuji stills photographer but do video with a lumix G80. Since the launch of the Fuji XH1 I have been confused if I should do video with Fuji as well, but after seeing you video I am going to go with adding the GH5. Thank for the stunning footage it help decide a vital issue.
this video single handedly sold me on the GH5.. 2 quick questions, 1. Handheld Video or Stabilizer of some sort? 2. What mount/adapter are you running for the Zeiss? Probably no autofocus capability right? Thanks, keep up the amazing work
This is one of my favorite gh5 vids (watched it before purchasing a year+ ago). Revisited to check out the fps/shutter angles… noticed the shot at :45 says 1/50, but seems to be set at a higher shutter speed due to the choppy motion. Ya? Gorgeous, regardless.
what color processing method you guys used? Davinci? Adobe? Did you guys used a specific LUT? Would be great if you can offer more details on color processing side. Amazing video bytheway
Great job. Your are impressive. You are truly a inspiration.Creative question, why is that you switched to 4K(:41) opposed to keeping it at 1080(throughout the video).
Looks and sounds like something straight out of a major motion picture on the big screen. Jonathan were these all hand held shots? Did you have any issues mounting the suction cup on the wet car? Weren't you scared that your new camera would fall? Were you afraid the camera and lens would get soaking wet? Any focusing concerns? Please break it down.
Great video man. I used to shoot Panasonic but switched to canon due to lens assortment. This makes me want to look at investing in another Panasonic. What stabilizer, or car mount did you use for the car exterior driving shoots?
Well done. I do see a massive amount of banding in the opening fade, even watching at the highest output. So Im wondering how you did the fade...? In camera? On in post?
Jason, the opening shot is a DJI Mavic Pro Cached File from my iPhone. The banding is coming from FCPX dissolve transition. I normally use premiere but tried FCPX for the speed.
Ah... Right on. Whew. Thanks for this Jonathan! What was yoru FCPX experience like? Id love for someone to report on editing 4k from the GH5 with Resolve. Have you given it a go?
I still come back to this video even half a decade later just to see the best gh5 footage on youtube
That’s awesome! Thanks for coming back. 🤪
Nice !!! Its great to see someone who knows how to use a camera, and show its true capabilities.
So nice to see what people with capable hands can make with this!!
Thanks for the compliment!
Seconded. So much trash out there by view junkies with more money than talent. This is sublime.
This is really cool. I love that there's no music, I love the feel, the grade, the rain and the car. Just awesome.
Thanks, Mal!

Exactly like me 6 months ago , lol . This video oh my fucking god its gorgeous .
Not a good video to base a purchase on. Light was too even. Not enough possible exposures to really test the camera
Splurged watching this

This Video is why i have the GH5 sitting next to me. Absolutly stunning, hats off!
What lens is best for video?
