IFISH - Fishing the LONGEST JETTY in the Southern Hemisphere (we lost count of the species!)

The busselton Jetty is a must see if you're ever in the great South West of W.A The locals are friendly, the fishing is unreal and the marine life is just - WOW!

Absolutely love that jetty, landed and lost some awesome fish of that jetty. I just recently lost a nice little sbt right on the end on a placcy! Will for ever remember the runs it had on 10lb gear!

I was 7 year old when we visited the jetty in 1978 and we got 97 blue swimmer crabs in a couple of hours with a just few crab nets. Was the one of the most amazing things I had seen up till that time. Fed the whole caravan park where we were staying. Go to gaol for that now but eh, I was 7.

I caught one similar to that on Davis beach in Mallacoota. On a 2-4kg plastics rod with 4lb braid and 10lb fluorocarbon leader. Gee it was fun running up and down the beach.
