My 2021 Focus emtb, with Boch gen 4 motor, has completed 4500 trouble free miles (over all types of terrain) since new.
I have just relocated to the UK, from Australia, with my ebike arriving tomorrow and can't wait to get out in to the Devon countryside - it will be interesting to see how my ebike motor copes with rain!😢
That motor has served you well, hopefully the British weather isn't too hard on you! The trails should start to dry up soon 🤞
Hopefully it's not too much of a shock to the System and bike ,great place's to ride though.
Great show, guys! Smooth dynamic between both hosts.
Thanks for watching!
Great show, guys. I loved Steve Jones and Paine 😂😅
Rich needs to be a staple on this channel! Love these 2 together.
Thanks mate much appreciated
Thank you
Ari is what's left of Fezzari after they closed up the doors
I thought this channel was only for slow ebikes😂
A slow ebike is called a bike.
@@julianshepherd2038 with a torque sensor
They usually only test quality stuff and not heavy cheap bikes that can only be riden on fresh cut golf courses.
We would love for you to ride test our XD FS!! Who do we talk to?
i want to see that happen as well! the xd fs looks sick
I cant wait for a gear box. I have upgraded my drivetrain three times on my Turbo Levo in a calendar year. I have the GX T-Type and it is amazing. However, I junked a chain within 220 miles. So yeah......
3500 miles on my 2021 Jam2 on its original CX4 🤘
Will we need gearboxes or will we actually have more powerful motors that we can change the watt output on with our "gear shifters" in the future. Or not have gears at all and just have variable electric power output like electric motorbikes and cars?
I've been wondering when they would make a FS XD bike. Excellent solution.
Have you ridden any of their other bikes?
I met her on a Monday and my heart stood still. Somebody told me her name was Bill... wait, da do what?
What happened to the bike vault?
LOL that intro
I can feel an ECN (Electric Cycling Network) channel coming soon 😂
and an E-DH Masters Series: surge up the hill with an MGU, go down afahp.
Juggernaut FS XD us spec only is it not illegal In UK? Reviews on it aren't great anyway but massive amount of peak power for here! I can see the rear fold on that quite easy at that pivot point
Looks like Biketrix have invented the mid-mounted hub motor, as the motor drive train seems to have only one gear...
Random comment. Iv done 250 winter miles, my 8th and 9th gear wore out 😬 . Shimano deore 12speed. Bosch cx motor
Belt drive does interest me!
As long as the gearbox is water tight belt drive should be amazing. With your gears at the moment, the best thing to do is make sure you're using the whole range like you would on a normal MTB. eBikes give you super strength so the chains are being put through a lot more stress, although it might be tempting to pedal at a lower cadence in the higher gears this is putting a lot of strain on your gears (as you have found out) and your motor 🤙
It's not a 'half face' helmet. It's an open face helmet. That design comes from motocross. Look at MX helmets from the 1980s and earlier. Open face helmets were the norm. Later full face helmets became popular because riders/racers were smashing their noses and chins on the bars on the big jumps. Full face helmets offer superior protection.
Why is Andrew Tate a EMBN presenter now ??
40Nm is not enough power for much anything! Certainly not enough juice to get up any type of hill
Have you tried a light assist eBike?
@@embn No I have not.....but my bike has 160Nm of torque and so I know that 25% of that power would not be enough for me to climb hills and the mileage that I do....PERIOD! 140Wh battery. Are you kidding me? That would gone in the first 5 miles....I feed my 160Nm with an 1100 Wh battery....my bike weighs 24 Kilo....
@@Magoo71 What?
@@user-pk9gm2ql7m My bike has 160 Nm and with 25% of that I can tell you it's going to be of little help climbing the steeps!
If you think you need a clutch then you need a real Motorcycle! Clutch talk is just silly!
2300W is gonna kill that ridiculous downtube integrated cylindrical cell battery in seconds. gotta fill the entire triangle with battery to properly sustain such a motor. looking at the size of the motor, that is about the same as the bafang ultra, which can take about 900-1000W continuous with decent airflow without burning up. 2300W is ridiculous and unnecessary on any emtb. my 1000W To7 DM01 (1500W peak) has got plenty of punch and endurance for anything. have busted 3 54t dt ratchets already. no need for any more power. also, with too low of a tire pressure, you shred the carcass in no time with this much power.
I have a pedal AWD (2000W total) with 25 Ah battery, an confirm. I use the two wheel drive (2kw) only to get up to speed and switch to one wheel (1kw) ASAP.
@@sety409 i guess front and rear hub motor? with a 1000W mid drive (bbshd, ultra, toseven dm01) acceleration is insane with a properly tuned shift sensor. 0-35km/h in something like 3-4 seconds, no problem.
there's no such thing as a 'ridiculous' amount of power. there's only a lack of imagination and the disregard for rules and personal safety to make it real.
@@cellsafemode in the context of bicycle components there is. at some point you need to use motorcycle gear to take the power
When will Emtb's become glorified Surron's?
When they break the 240w barrier and get to 3000
