Mad respect to joey "I'm an aquarium hobbyist"
humble bro
Its definitely a stress reliever. Just watching the different personalities in the tank. They way they interact. I think my gf got me a addiction. Lol.
Joey didn't introduced himself as KING OF DIY 👑.
I really appreciate his humbleness. One must be always down to earth.
Most respectable and relatable person in the hobby. For me at least.
Evan Fromille yea true
Because he was humbled by the real experts in the room!! The only reason Joey is at the top is because he is willing to sell himself out and become the Jake Paul of fish tanks.
Everyone of the fantastic aquarists in this video deserve 10x more subs than Joey for their contributions to the hobby and respective fields of study.
Joey is a great UA-camr, not a great aquarist.Drama, merch and holding a camera at arms length.
Gotta say, Paul Caffero is better for that. Younger, smarter and waaaaaaaaaaay more charismatic than Joey. His days are numbered.
@@johnsm3568 mimimimi
@@johnsm3568 youre 100% right except joey does know his shit and paul cuffaro just throws fish in tanks and buys petsmart bullshit. You say joey isnt an aquarist but yet this man has built 3000 and 4000 gallon systems that succesfully house "expert" fish id love to see one of them try lol
Nice job Alex
Thanks for being in the video!
We love Rachel and how she explains about the hobby being so artful. There really is no end to how far you can go to make your fish and other animals lives and home amazing, yet beautify your home with its presence. I remember my first tank when I was a kid and now Jack and I have experimented with so many things and who knows what we will think of next! Nice video!

I laughed when you talked about people buying before research. That was my first and biggest lesson. Had planned on setting up a community tank with angels. Decided on a 29g tank, set it up, and then learned it was too small. On a good note, have already told hubby Im getting another larger tank lol
Pretty cool. I definitely enjoyed it! 👍
SerpaDesign One day I hope I can sneak you into one of these videos!
You should have been in there
Yeah Tanner should have definitely been in this video. He’s great
*You look like a SnAkE*
Bro jealous he weren’t in the vid lol

Before I started back into the hobby after four decades away, I watched most of these folks, made notes then made notes, then made some more.
I believe you find success by surrounding yourself with people who are more knowledgeable than yourself and shutting your mouth, turning on your ears and being humble. UA-cam allows you to do all of this. Pick your subject, pick your people and learn.
When I took biology we learned about the nitrogen cycle. I always told myself 'when am i going to use this?' Before I got my first aquarium I made myself relearn and 100% understand the nitrogen cycle.
refreshing my mind on the nitrogen cycle is how i fell down this you tube rabbit hole
@Midnightman i had an awesome bio teacher in highschool but i still remember asking myself that same question. Turns out it was more important then i ever would have imagined. Bio was lit!
Really well done and what a lovely surprise to see all of these monsters of the industry in one video!
I wanted to put this in my earlier comment, but felt it was already rambling. I agree that the hobby has to do more for conservation and education of people in the hobby, the people you featured all are passionate about the hobby and many like Rachael and Corey have talked at length about fish collecting and it's pros and cons. As a Birder I have seen first hand how a hobby can influence people to protect species and their habitats, and I hope that this hobby starts to do more of that and youtube may be a good vehicle for it.
most ambitious crossover
This is the only comment I wanted.
I am a subscriber to all the people on this video. Thanks for getting everyone together for this. One of the best fishtube videos without showing fish. Great job!
Wow great job! Thanks for including me.
18 months ago, I started fish keeping with a 29 gallon and a couple of rainbow cichlids. Tomorrow I go to get my breeding certification from my local Aquarium society and currently have 25 healthy fish in 130 gallons of clean, fresh water. Without Rachel and Corey I simply wouldn't be where I am in this incredibly rewarding hobby. Thanks guys.
There was a whole lot of knowledge on that panel! Good questions, maybe dig deeper next time... Why is that your favorite fish? What drives your passion for the hobby? Where do you see the future of the hobby? Ask something to bring out Joey's true awesomeness! He was so humble and he has done so much for so many people. I refer to his book and his channel more than any other when I'm trying to add something new to my tanks. 😎
This was a great video! I'd love to see an event with creators panel, answering audience questions. This is a great start, I love hearing everyone's take on the different questions all at once. I think it was really cool! Thanks for putting this together for all the fans!
This video embodies why this hobby is so amazing. The diversity of backgrounds, personalities, professions, all of it. It takes all kinds and brings the most unlikely into a friendly and open forum to share a passion a lot of us get a hard time for from family and friends, playfully of course. To have some of the biggest names on here is really fun to watch. Thank you for making the effort to do this!
Loved hearing all these inspiring people talk about fish plants and this hobby
Haha joey 😂 i like anubias. Java furn Java Moss. Beacuse i cant kill them 😂
Isabella Jansson somehow I killed a java furn in like a week
We love Rachel and how she explains about the hobby being so artful. There really is no end to how far you can go to make your fish and other animals lives and home amazing, yet beautify your home with its presence. I remember my first tank when i was a kid and now Jack and I have experimented with so many things and who knows what we will think of next! Nice video!
Hi, I'm Stan. I've been keeping aquariums for 40 years; longer then any of you have been alive. Worked in the retail industry for 7 years, was a department manager for 3 years, have not had an aquarium set up since. Sold my big tanks, have had my small tanks in storage for 12 years now. After spending 10 hours a day, 5 days a week cleaning tanks, I'm done with them. At one time I had 7 aquariums up and running from a 110 amazon river to a 5 gallon "beach" tank for hermit crabs. That was 3 salt{one reef} and 4 fresh{preferred planted}.
This is such a fantastic video with so many extremely inspiring people! Even though I’m already subscribed to most of them I’ll definitely save the rest right away! Thank you so much for putting out such fantastic contact and thank you to everyone involved in creating this ❤️
Love this video! It’s so interesting to see some of your favourite youtubers outside of their own videos answering these types of questions. Thanks!
Loved the video. I feel like before watching this I enjoyed watching the other channels, but didn’t really know the people other than the UA-cam personalities that they present and the passive forum interactions. Now I’ve gotten a bit of a glimpse into WHO they are and what really drives them in the hobby and, at least for me, it gives a sense of connection.
I actually found your channel through the recommendation of a friend in the hobby. He knew I loved nature documentaries and planted tanks and as soon as he told me about you I had to have you! 😂 Not creepy in any way.
This was awesome. I have learned so much from some of you (Pecktec, George), and have now learned of a few more of you! The question "What are you proudest of"...very interesting. Again, George and Pecktec. because I learned from what they are proudest of. But thank you all for being a part of this. I always believe I can learn something from someone, no matter how small.
Great video!
It would of been nice to see pictures of everyone favorite fish and plants as a reference.
Next question could be: Which fish tank cause you the biggest challenge!
Keep up the good work!
Awesome video - Thanks so much. One of the best aquarium videos and yet no aquariums shown!
I am totally grateful you have done this video.
To see all the big ones come together to share a bit about themselves and what they are grateful for is really appreciated, thank you very much.
Yes I agree, research first, fish come later.
It breaks my heart when people use fish as disposable purposes, we should all love and care for them.
I love this video, thank you very much.
Thumbs up.
I remember before I got my first Saltwater Fish I researched on that, also, I did the same before I got into Cichlids.
Hey Alex, wow, that is great having all these super cool aquarium peeps giving a little bit of their story. Really cool mate.🤘
Thanks for posting. This was dope. I've been in the hobby. for 15 months and have made so many mistakes, I stopped counting. I know have 15 tanks and 3 more on the way. It's official, I'm addicted. Best Hobby out there. I learn so much every day and there's always something new to learn. Which I why I love it. Knowledge is power which is something you share with other people. Keep posting, and I'll go ahead and subscribe to the new channels you brought to my attention today. Thanks for that. Cheers.
Ik joey was gonna say java ferns bc he cant kill them lmao
Really great Video, as per usual! Thank you for taking all the requests on Instagram as well. Really look forward to all your videos.
This was an awesome video, I dont even know what other questions I would ask but its great to see everyone talk a little bit about their own personal opinions about the hobby.
This is amazing! We got into fish because my youngest has autism/adhd. She is 6 and wanted baby scorpions. We were able to compromise to goldfish! Now these are members of ours family, each has different personalities and slightly differing needs but we’ve been able to work on it and over the past few months balance everything so they are healthy and strong! They are still young but just today we found breeding stars on our fantail and black moor!
Our youngest comes home from school and immediately runs to the tank to tell her fish how she missed them and hugs the tank! Watching them swim, eat, forage and act playfully brings her a sense of calm we haven’t seen before. They have helped her destress after too much stimulation, all we can do to thank them is provide them with all that can improve their lives.
That a great story! Having an aquarium at home does wonders for keeping calm and relaxed and for inspiring kids to care about nature. I’m glad the tank is working for you!
This is so great having all our favorite UA-camrs together. Thank you did very well on this and yes let's have more.
I was already subscribed to some of these but now I subscribed to all of them so I think you said to comment “I sent you” I just can’t get enough of this hobby I love it so much
Loved this video. I have been subscribed to several of these channels. Thanks for guiding me to the others as well as this one. I really appreciate the advice and guidance of seasoned hobbyists. I have had aquariums since I was 15. (I'm 48 now.) I have gained so much knowledge, but the learning process never stops and many of the hobbyists in this video have taught me so much. Thank you!
Thank you for the video It was really awesome I appreciate seeing and hearing that all of you are normal people just like me and enjoying the hobby that I enjoy doing just like you
Nice job collaborating with all of these guys. Very interesting, great content 👍
Great vid. As always, the production value is great. Keep up the great work.
Amazing idea! Love the questions! Thank you for setting this up.
Love this video. Some of my fav. Fishtubers. Great questions and answers!
I got into the hobby at age 12 when my uncle bought me a 10g aluminum framed tank the week he got back from Vietnam. Then I saved my allowance and bought a 20g..Back then tanks had a slate bottom and could shock the crap out of you!
As an adult I ended up running a large wholesale importer and a few retail LFS over time. Now just hobbying.
Great video man! I really like your take on the hobby and how you put your videos together. Keep it up!
I cant believe it took UA-cam this long to recommend this to me. new subscriber. Great video!
I absolutely loved this video!!! 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️It was fun to watch some of my favorite UA-camrs answer questions about themselves and their backgrounds. I would really like to see more of this kind of Q&A sessions. Thank you for bringing this to us. 👍❤️😘😀
I'm always up for anything that involves picking the brains of people that know more than I. You managed to wrangle together an epic group for this. Hats off to you, friend.
Great video! I still am very much a novice in the world of aquariums. Its amazing how much I've learnt in the time I've been keeping fish, shrimp and plants with unfortunate deaths in all those areas too. I love learning how I can become better in keeping an aquarium. It come sometimes feel like everyone else knows exactly how it works and I'm the only one failing in certain areas. This video is lovely to see everyone started somewhere!
Thank you Alex. That was a great clip. Very cool to have everyone in one video.
I truly enjoyed this video! Keep networking the fish hobby community with your expertise! You inspire me. Thanks ❤️
Absolutely loved this, great to see all these you tubers on one video
Thanks for getting everyone together Alex; it was a fun watch!
That was great Alex, really informative, inspiring, and motivational to hear all of those great UA-camrs share a bit more about different aspects of their experience and opinions regarding the hobby. Truly enjoy seeing content like this, so thank you. I've been enjoying your and all of these other great youtubers channels content for awhile now and really appreciate all of the hard work that goes into it. My friends and I have just started our channel with hopes of showing our own experiences in the hobby and the unique perspective we have as foreigners in China. We were out all day today shooting at one of our local Shanghai markets and it was great, can't wait to start putting out content and really hope it can have even some of the impact that our influences like you and these other amazing people in this video bring to this community. Thanks for great videos like this!
tanks a lot Alex, those are some of my favorite creators . I really enjoyed this
Alex, this was awesome. I wish I could see stuff like this on a more regular basis.
Excellent video ! Really great to see everyone on one video. Especially the ones I’m personally friends with
Wonderful video! Thank you everyone for sharing!! ❤
What a great video! To assemble all of these terrific aquarists in one place. Do these more often and thanks for sharing.
Nice to see people who inspired me to get into aquascaping talking about what inspired them. Thanks, Alex.

There’s something extremely calming about your video editing style. On multiple occasions I’ve been in a bad mood, raging over a tank disaster (aka water overflowing somewhere. haha) or feeling the blues and your videos have leveled me out. Thank you! Genuinely
That’s wonderful to hear! (Not the part about the water overflowing)
What a fabulous idea this was 🤩 Thank you!

I subbed to each channel, this was a fun video full of great information 😁 thank you!
Thanks for sharing... I am a subscriber of all these FishTubers! Education and sharing of ideas is the how it should be for the #fishfam. Thanks @Tank Tested
The best of the best in one video! Really epic!
Great video, very cool to hear each of the Pros' background and stories!
What a fantastic gathering of aquatic minds!
I cannot say how much I actually enjoyed this.
Thanks everyone
I mean, talk about the
Creme de la creme.
You guys have helped me so much. Thank you
GWAPA - Yea! Great Video! Thanks to all those who gave their time! 😊
Ahhhh!!! This is so awesome!!! Love it!! All my fav's in one place!!
What a FANTASTIC set of questions and I greatly appreciated the responses. Made me think about what is my Favorite Fish or what do I think is the biggest pitfall in fish keeping. I thought the responses from these #FishTube pros was extremely interesting. I am already subscribed to all 12 (I double checked to make sure). But such a format has got to be a great way to learn more background about others in our hobby and to learn more of their points of view. I was soooooo sure that Joey was going to say 'Asian Arrowana' but he's right, it is hard to pick a favorite (just like picking a favorite child).
Apparently the planted tank forum is “old” I’m a member 🤔
Loved this video! Longtime subscriber to all their channels.
Well done. Thanks. Good insight into some of my favorite fish people
Joey's ( @KingofDIY ) life story is truly inspiring. I watched the video he made when he hit 1 Million Subs and man it gave me the shock of my life, it made me cry and it made me pray for the man. Pray that all his dreams and ambitions and whatever he wishes to do MUST be a reality. Joey, you're the man, man. You've inspired me in ways I cannot even express. Whenever I'm having a bad day, I just turn on your channel and listen to your rants, your ideas, just listen to whatever comes out of that plum of a face you've got. God Bless you My Brother (can I call you that?). CHEERS!

I hope you are able to do more videos like this. It is interesting hearing how people I respect in the hobby answer your questions. I totally agree with one of your answers. I would very much like to know where my fish and plants are coming from. It would effect what I buy and where I buy it.
I would like to know what their biggest mistake(s) in the hobby was and how they responded to the set back. I have 3 so far - not understanding the nitrogen cycle, buying a common pleco before I knew what that meant, and letting my neighbor who feeds my cats feed my fish. My first betta, Mythic, survived my nitrogen cycle learning curve. My once small, but now HUGE, common pleco is getting a pond (nothing fancy, mind you). You cannot dumb down fish feeding enough for a novice to do it. I lost 3 bettas to that mistake. After 2 months of medication, Charlie survived. He lost an eye to popeye though. Everyone makes mistakes. I think knowing how they responded to those mistakes would help people like me as we face our own set backs.
Great! I’ll see what I can do this weekend at Aquashella!
Alex I loved this video! Great idea! Massive stars 🤩
What a great lineup! I'm all subscribed
This was great fun to watch! 🎉
I'm already subbed to every single person in this video...I loved how you asked them all the same question In the same video
