    I’m at 0:20, lol. That gap at the tank is why I liked the thicker saddle, plus, I just think it would’ve looked better all the way. But hey, that’s just me. Now at 4:30. I like your solution. That’s how I would’ve done it.

    What kind of gas tank is that and where can I find one? It seems like it fits for my Honda CB400 Cafe Racer project.

      Dmitriy Golovinov Hi my bike building brother, comments like this is exactly why I love to share the process and spend so much time getting good shots and the hours of editing, Thank you so much for taking the time to send me this comment.
      What are some of the challenges you face with your build? I may shoot a video about them in the soon future 👍

    • @DmitriyGolovinov
      @DmitriyGolovinov 6 років тому +1

      I bought a $700 1978 CB750 with no wiring loom, no seat, etc. Lots of missing pieces. It's just really helpful to see how you put things together so I can see what I need to get or how to design something. It's great to start from a 40 year old "clean" slate but difficult as it's my first project. Just keep doing what you're doing, the videos are extremely helpful from a design/theory/execution standpoint.

    • @CafeRacerGarage
      @CafeRacerGarage  6 років тому

      Dmitriy Golovinov Wow $700 for a 78 model is a bargain, 👍 where are you located
      One of my subscribers gave me some great advice so I will pass it on to you. 😊 After you buy yourself a loom, google a picture of the wire diagram for a 1978 750 (in colour if you can) get it printed as big as you can so you can follow each wire.
      If you have any challenges in your build and think it would make a good video let me know, comment in any of my videos, I reply to all comments 😁

    • @DmitriyGolovinov
      @DmitriyGolovinov 6 років тому

      I'm in San Francisco, got pretty lucky with the find, and thankfully have a garage to work on the bike. I think I will be doing the wiring using an MUnit Blue, has some very cool features and seems easier to wire than the stock loom. I'll be sure to ask any questions once I've got more! Thanks man! :)

    • @CafeRacerGarage

      I mate, great question 👍 I got the foam from a local Auto upholstery shop, It's very common here in Australia, Its called high-density open cell foam. Hope that helps

    Very good job for this cb750 !!
    I wanted to know how the saddler fixed the skai on the fiber?
    rivets or glue?

    • @CafeRacerGarage
      @CafeRacerGarage  6 років тому

      Thank you Anthony, I'm assuming you mean the bolt that holds the seat to the frame,
      I just used fibre and resin to keep it from ever moving, I drilled a hole on the fibreglass just big enough to screw the bolt in so it was tight and then did the fibre and resin over the top. Thanx again for your kind words and I'm here if you have any more questions. :)

    • @anthonychereau8877

    Great video man! What kind of foam are you using? I made my seat and the foam I used is not at all what I wanted but only thing I could find.

    • @CafeRacerGarage
      @CafeRacerGarage  6 років тому

      Tulsa Moto Club not sure of the exact name of this foam however it's used by all upholstery places in Australia so its super easy to get.
      Not sure where you are but I know other countries use different types of foam so just ask a supplier for a high density open cell foam.
      Hope that helps :)

    Awesome vid! which type of foam, do you use?

    • @CafeRacerGarage
      @CafeRacerGarage  6 років тому

      Johan Soeberg hi mate, it's just a standard hi density open cell foam used by most upholstery supplies in Australia. It's easy to get here, I'm not sure where you are in the world but ask a supplier for a high density open cell foam and start there.
      Any big upholstery place will be able to tell you the best stuff for motorcycle or boat seats, you can sand any foam with a sanding disc on a grinder so its not a problem what one you decide to go with. Hope that helps Johan

      Jeffrey Macha hi Jeffrey, great question, I will try and find it on Amazon for you but I think it’s an Australian brand that you may not have in your country depending where you live, if I can’t find the exact same one I will find the same glue but in a different brand for you. 👍😁

    I don't understand why guys don't put a groove or canal in the middle of the seat to allow some relief for the genitals.
    Especially cafe racer builds.
    Is it ride comfort overlooked for the sake of aesthetics?
