+Mitchell Hang (Gilblitz112) "High Rollers" did this show in. It was doing pretty well at first, when it crushed Alex Trebek's debut GS in "The Wizard of Odds", but then "High Rollers" came along, and it was too much for NYSI.
Decent concept, but the execution just wasn't there. The first round seemed useless (glad they got rid of it), but that second round is what killed the format. Same in 1989 with finding things that fit the subject.
Tom Conn Oh I used to watch this in the morning on GSN as a kid when I had a day off from school. Such a great show and seeing it again on YT & Buzzr network I find I'm pretty good at these clues. Jack always had a down to earth vibe and good sense of humor.
@4:44 - Line 4, positions 7-10 feature a shoe company (or Greek goddess, from which it got its name from) that was just starting to take off when this show aired. :D
If you add “I Like” to line 4 position 8, you’ll get Eisenhower’s campaign slogan.
NYSI is a pretty underrated game show, IMO. Too bD it got cancelled early.

this is an absolute favorite one right behind the Joker's Wild!!
The theme song was later revamped to be the theme for Bill Cosby every time he guest hosted the Tonight Show!
That's because the tune, "Chump Change," was also the theme of the short-lived "New Bill Cosby Show" from 1972.
love this show.
Jack was a real good host, on this and Concentration

Don't forget Beat the Clock. He was great at that as well.

Great show
please add this show to the regular schedule on Buzzr
it is weekday mornings on Buzzr
Who did Eisenhower have as vice-president?
It took 5 tries to get the first jackpot win.
Wonder why this show isn't on the regular schedule on Buzzr? No interest in paying Quincy Jones for "Chump Change"?
+Vahan Nisanian Good question. Maybe they can pull it out occasionally for their Time Machine deal.
No interest in paying Bill Cosby (for co-writing the song)
