Keith Getty is one of the finest hymn writers in contemporary Christian music, and Kristyn has such a beautiful voice and gentle spirit. I pray for them, their marriage and their ministry. This song just brought me to tears -- and I've been listening to it for years. I've been going through a tough trial over the last few days and have fallen into a pit of self-pity, but listening to the lyrics of this song reminded me how any suffering we face can never compare that of Jesus being "scorned by the ones he came to save." And yet because of what He did, it is us who never have to face guilt in life nor fear in death. Such is the love of God. Hallelujah! Amen.
