I bought a bonsai tree that’s 6 years old today from a native Korean old guy. He seemed so nice and relaxed displaying his bonsai trees from the side of the road so I couldn’t resist stopping by. It came with the pot, and bought some fertilizer feed (1-2 times a year type stuff lol). What should I do next? I already ordered good rated pruning shears, I just need insect repellant and the proper wiring
i love bonsai im practising on a few different on some failed some worked really well im working on herb bonsai like rosemary thyme and lavender and they do make some nice bonsais and interesting ones too iv just finished a rosemary bonsai and planted it in a plastic deep tray you get from the fruit shops and i trimmed off the shoots where it keeps going up so it can encourage the bonsai to get bushier looks good but it will look better when it starts to thicken up and get more bushier i may even let one of the new shoots to keep growing and form another branch to shaping it in the future i also got an nice lavander bonsai i made more then a year ago its doing great its in dormant but the smell comes off these herb bonsai is amazing i always believe be creative dont follow other people make a bonsai look interesting i take advice and tricks from other people such as herons bonsai as he is amazing man who like to tell people is to do whats right for your self when you bonsai and there is no right or wrong way of doing bonsai he said and thats what i got into bonsai when we went into lockdown in match.
Then again most of the bonsai content is leaning more towards the introduction/novice lvls of the hobby so it's loaded with explanations to why rather then full timelapsed video's but I agree with you, I wish there was more video's where it was less talk and more do.
Congratulations good for the educational videos. I recently opened a bonsai channel and I know how much work there is on those videos. greetings from Spain
Hi. When you remove the Cambium lyer on the trunk.doesnt the upper leaves dry out .? Or you only remove certain part of it. How do you know which part of the Cambium to remove and how much of it to create dead wood. I'm a bigger and need your advise Thank you🙏
Several questions please: In real-time how long did it take you to do all the styling? Was this material something you or someone else had been cultivating and, had it been pruned/shaped before? Did you create any of the shari during the wiring and styling? Lastly, where did you study or apprentice? In Japan? The compressed-time, editing speed, was too fast (even at 0.25x playback speed) to the observe and appreciate your choices and techniques. The speed made it difficult to follow and take in the transformation. Slower next time, please. Thank you.
Bonsai such a fantastic hobby, the only issue is you have to make sure you have kids or someone close younger than you to look after your bonsai when you die. I guess you can sale them if they are good enough?
Here I was expecting a time lapse of a bonsai growing
same lol
Same here
@@pinkdiamond345 And be worth every second. Can you imagine seeing an entire tree be shaped and and then grow over the course of a 10-20 minute video?
That deadwood feature is so dramatic, but understated within the upper pads. Incredible work.
I time-lapsed the time-lapse because I wasen't patient enuff
Then Bonsai isn't for you. lol!
X2 all day bra
I actually tried un-laüsing the time lapse
Wow bonsai master speaks!!!!!lol
Jonark Villanueva I’m sorry what?
There is something pleasing in the contrast between all the fancy lighting/camera work and the cut-down bucket that the bonsai is in.
Wow. The wiring to make pads like that is awesome. I'm going to try and replicate that. It should age my trees up very well.

Realmente un trabajo digno de admirar sencillamente grandioso con una técnica maravillosa
Awesome is not a word i use lightly, but put simply this is awsome. Great and inspired work by a true Master craftsman
Step 2: Wait 20 years
for sure, bonsai is not for now, is for the future, but everything has its first step 😁
@@nettai-enbonsai well said

This is so amazing, I love it! It shows how much time and effort you put into the tree, and I really respect that.

I got into bonsai just under a year ago and still with just one tree, but i hope to eventually reach that level of skill some day
Christian Benavente I know exactly how you feel , I wish I had the means to get nursery stock like this
@@drolsisusej100 Take a look at Heron Bonsai on YT. He has several videos on starting bonsai on a budget. :)
There are wild conifer trees that look like this, on the Oregon & Washington coasts, shaped by Mother Nature herself💚
Very nice. Love the overall design/shape.

Stupid question here, but do you ever remove the wires?
so sick
How long do you leave the wires in like that?
Did you pill the skin of the tree to have that white strip on the front?
So cool
Good time lapse. 👍🏼
This is amazing
Awesome! What song is this?
Como chama essa música de fundo?
Great skill. What is that tree?
