How about we start viewing farmers in Two DISTINCT categories; growers of plants or animals for direct consumption by humans and then those growing plants or animals for any other reason?
Part of the reason Ag is bumping into price pressure is your government vocabulary is perfectly describing products many people in the world are learning shouldn’t go into a human digestive tract.
“Corn” is being benchmarked by what it’s worth when converted to ethanol. It’s absolutely astounding how modern agricultural technology has put yields at the historic level they’re at. It’s truly a testament to many farmers and their suppliers. But the GMO “corn” that becomes a portion of my fuel is not the same “corn” as my chicken should have been fed with. That food corn should be grown as wildly as possible and nutrient content should drive the price, not yield. As a consumer who has become aware that the Standard American Diet consisting largely of ultra processed materials derived from 4 grains, 4 proteins and a lot of manipulation of sugars and oils is making us weak which allows us to become sick.
Farmers of food, and what the food eats, should be paid differently than farmers of fuel.
The governments role is to encourage and support the ability of both groups to freely exist and let the farmers decide which path they want to take; Precision Agrochemical or Biological Organic. The consumer is learning fast that “corn” isn’t just corn when it comes to food.

I know there is huge excitement for the use of Ethanol as SAF but I think the recent announcement of allowing the 8 states to move to E-15 if they choose to invest in the necessary infrastructure changes offset any negatives discussed in this reporting. I also believe this opens the door for future approvals for all 50 states if they so choose. This could mean another 2.5 billion bushels of Corn needed for Ethanol. I believe the American farmers would be better served long term if Corn is used for Ethanol and Soybeans are used for SAF. This way it is a win/win for both crops. If too much Ethanol is incented for SAF via aggressive subsidies, then you have the possibility of the Oil companies having to compete with Aviation to blend the mandated amount of Ethanol into gasolines. Perhaps great for a little improvement in Corn prices but the cost of Gas could move up as a result.

If im reading between the lines.. is guy basically saying that the ag industry needs to keep finding new ways to sell corn and soybeans in this case expand the use of biofuels? I assume liquid carbon = biofuel which implies corn is carbon captures from the atmosphere. Also saying that green lobby wants to shut down biofuel which would continue to tank prices because private farms are one of the last freedom strongholds?

Corn Corn Corn just like all the meals in the film Interstellar. World still has plenty of problems. Carbon is what all life is made of and plants love it. No thank you on this guy. Extremely hard to follow.

So when they take away your fertilizers like they are doing in Europe, how is that going to affect your farmers. When considering all processes that is required to making ethanol, is it actually a sustainable? What happens to it as a sustainable fuel if the government stops propping it up with subsidies? Why support the ESG agenda rather than fight it and Allowing it to get started and killing the farmer off like what’s happening in Europe?

The people fight this carbon pipeline are the same people who fought the keystone xl. The leader of the movement has fought pipelines since she graduated Iowa state. You farmers shot yourselves in the foot there were going to be billions in investment for saf that would lead up to tens of billions in extra income from grain biofuels
