Turbo Views #110: video review of "Bomberman '93" for the TurboGrafx-16 / Turbo Duo (Turbo Chip) / Turbo Duo video-game system.
For educational and training purposes only!
It's tough be believe that the end of TurboViews is less than 30 videos away. I never thought I'd live to see it, honestly. The fact that you've been slowly plucking away at this show for 12 years is amazing.
I’m just glad you’re back.
NIce! It's no Falcon, but it'll do when Falcon isn't inserted into the TurboGrafx-16 (which it always should be).
Glad to see that you love 93 as much as I do! It really is Bomberman at his finest.
Man you are on fire...i am loving it! Thanks so much Chris
Thanks for this! I remember back in the day having what was probably the most fun I've had gaming with 5 person battles in Bomberman 93. Found Bomberman R on the switch and still play it from time to time.
Loving your channel! Bought the TG-16 mainly for Y's back in the 90's. Kinda missing the system. This could have been so much greater than it was!
Bomberman was my childhood on SNES, I used to play A LOT of Super Bomberman 3 with my sister ^^
I never went too far on this particular game, I think I only got as far as the flower world, but I sure do enjoy myself when I play it!
Also dat soundtrack tho... Jun Chikuma is a genius!
Love the videos man, your channel has the most thourogh reviews on the turbografx 16/CD games on youtube! You deserve alot more subs, best of luck man.
Finally! The last few episodes were good as always but they were games I weren’t so interested in. This is one of the all time greatest! Woo! 💣
You're one of the only youtube game reviewers I like. Keep it up!
Chris! I hope that everything is going well for you, especially in these trying times! I'm just glad that you're safe!
It's great to have so many videos to see now!
Awesome video review. I love this game and played it to death back in the day. Your summary is right on the money.
Looking forward to that Bomberman '94 review Chris. 😉
Dr. Turbo-16 is back! We love your videos!
I have a confession to make I’ve always been a bit rubbish at Bomberman games 🤦♂️ 😂. But I love seeing these reviews anyway.
Big thumbs up!
The man the myth...the Turbo Master himself Chris aka Spida1a has blessed us with another glorious video of our favorite "16-Bit" console. 😋👌❤️ Did I do good on my comment? Much love brotha! Stay safe and blessed.
"Well, get used to it. You'll be hearing it, _A LOT."_
So good man. Great use of editing on this one, especially with the manual at 0:47.
The TG16 version of Bomberman was my first Bomberman experience but not in the sense you'd think. This was about 10 years ago and I won it, along with some other games in a lot auction on eBay. My wife and kids happened to be in the room while I was testing it out and minutes later all 5 of us were on "The big TV", with the 5 player adapter, blasting away for hours. We are all fans now and I even got a copy of Saturn Bomberman before it got insanely expensive. Good times. I've always known of Bomberman and always heard how fun it was with friends but never got around to actually trying it out until I got it by chance and it turned out to be the best game in the lot.
amazing, thanks for another great video!
Another great review Chris. Bomberman '93 looks fantastic. I have Bomberman '94 for the PCE and I love that game. Leave it to ol' Officer Bomber Cop. :)
Wow, didn't realize this game looked so great! The graphics are super, thanks for the review.
I always hear "crafty" like bro I get it lol
Great to see another Turbo Chris ; )
Great review, the Turbo might have ended that year but at least we got this cool game as one of the final titles.
I sort of fell out of the Bomberman series after the SNES one, but firing up '93 on the TG Mini last week, it's reignited my interest in the games. This one was fun, and '94 was even better (at least so it seemed).
Feeling spoiled by all these new TurboViews.
Very good looking for ideas from different channels
youre the best. Ive got the pc engine and the sequel :D it was actually the first japanese hucard i got with the console too of course i picked up bomberman 93 as well. PC engine route was the only way i was going to get to play parasol stars and some of the other great pricey games. If you ever do more import episodes I would love to see Neo Nectaris, Son Son 2, or Bikkuriman World.
keep em coming. love your reviews
Return of the king!
6:30 man i remember that tune from 17 years ago! the powerups in this game are awesome but i always hated that you lose everything when you die. why did programmers make games like this? they made it fun just to take it away? this is why i always loved game genie on nes and super nes. you always had the best powerups for the entire game so you always had fun without constant worrying about dying. r-type was the worst offender in this category where powerups were so important
bomberman: picks up every powerup in the level
Han Solo: don't get cocky
Ashamed to admit I skipped over this one as a kid since I got '94 for PCE first. Just ordered a copy of the PCE version of '93 now just after watching this video. (I'll pass on the U.S. version now I guess. Bit pricey for my taste.) - BB Mr. Jakes
Bomberman series is a good game and I am glad bomberman '93 is on the turbogarfx-16 mini. 😀👍🎮
A new turbo views? Woah talk about a blast from the past! Hahaha! Ha ha ha! Ha.... I'll show myself out.
Officer Bomber Cop. LOL
I'm curious but have you ever covered Cratermaze?
nice video as always :) didnt know you can save, because I own the japanese version.
Another great review. Too bad 94 wasnt released in America
Just curious: did you animate those exploding bomb transitions yourself?
Somebody set up us the bomb !! Bomberman 93&94,when it get's good for the turbografx 16 compared to the first game.Still you know how it is spdia1a the fun in any bomberman games is for the vs.
Great franchise
mega bomberman on the megadrive was the best
The western version of the game is very expensive. The Japanese version is cheaper.
Would you believe I never played a Bomberman game?
I'm going to say something unpopular but I prefer Mega Bomberman to Bomberman 94. Sure the graphics aren't quite as good but the music is much better in my opinion. The music in that and 93 sounds like what old Hollywood movies would write as stereotypical "Asian" music.
At this rate you are going to run out of games to review.
@@foamybelch...He currently reviews Turbo games but I agree the PCE game library is expansive and this should keep him busy for a very long time.
He could just switch to Neo Geo, NES, or Genesis.
@@TheFiftyQuid In the Neo Geo's case I don't know if he owns the system or any of the games. The closest to reviewing those would be PC Engine ports of the games.
