I never knew about the Keith Courage glue sticky. I just had to go down and check my copy to see if it had it. Yep! It'll keep the card secure even if you hold it upside down, but it's not string enough to really be noticed when you remove the card normally. I also wish I could go back in time and order a dozen spare HuCard cases and sleeves... err sorry... TurboChip cases and sleeves. I'd probably order a lot of stuff, including the Devil's Crush shirt. Already have the Splatterhouse shirt. It has a GIANT TurboGrafx-16 logo on the back which can be seen from the moon and li'l TG-16 logos on the sleeves.
I just can't think you enough for this. Before UA-cam I always felt so isolated in my memories with the TG16. It wasn't popular and I figured it just faded away. I just appreciate all the time and dedication to gave to this machine. I feel good knowing others had it and experienced it like I did when they were young.
Hey Chris, there's quite a bit of other "official" accessories that while not first party had the official licensed stamp on the box. This includes your previously referenced Acemore Freedom 16 joystick along with quite a few carrying cases for the stock system and Turbo Express. Additionally... and I know you likely consider this outside of the scope of the show, there is the Laseractive TurboGrafx add-on (or TurboGrafx PAC to be precise with its name) which in and of itself is a different version of the platform and typically included a copy of Power Golf with a not for resale sticker plastered over it and a copy of Quiz Econosaurus
So sad to see the end of Turbo Views and Turbo Views Extra. I really hope for a few more import reviews some time in the future. I never owned a TurboGrafx nor PCEngine, but was always curious and my stumbling on this channel several years ago was such stroke of good fortune. Thanks for all the years of information and entertainment you brought. I look forward to whatever may be next.
Just seeing the sticker for Babbage's at 7:42 took me back to when I'd see TG16 stuff at that store. The system always had this air of mystique lingering to this day, so I love seeing videos like this that delve into its goodness.
The only thing i believe you missed, there are console sacks they made for taking your gear to a friend's house, and also a fanny pack for the turbo express.
Ah, LFP. They also published VideoGames (& Computer Entertainment) and its sister magazine Tips & Tricks. Little did I know as a kid that they were the publisher of Hustler and related magazines.
Loved this. Those boxes are so hard to find. It's worse than trying to find NES boxes. I only have two complete games: Dungeons and Dragons Order of the Griffon and Cosmic Fantasy 2. Still trying to hunt down that slip cover for Vasteel and have a feeling I will be for a good while. It's cool to see these things. I only ever saw in person the TurboTap and TurboBooster so my brother and I could play Bloody Wolf two player. Never saw the huge TurboStick controller. Knew of it's existence but never (still haven't) saw one in person, but it looks like it feels good to hold in your hands. Kind of like when you see a brand new hammer with a nice rubber grip. You just know it feels great to use it.
I remember,TG16 that i originally had it wasn't easy buying extra controllers and the multitap. The only place i could buy them from was babbages and they had to get them from another store for me to purchase.
Good times, I was the only one I knew of in school that had a TurboGrafx-16. I remember being really excited to get one for Christmas one year, then being kinda underwhelmed with Keith Courage. I did luck out, in a roundabout way, as our family was robbed that summer while we were away in vacation. My Nintendo, all the games, and a bunch of my other stuff was taken. So my Parents added up the cost of it all and when they got the insurance payout, let me get replacement stuff. They took me to the toy store and I ended up with a ton of TG16 games, an Express, extra controllers, and a turbo tap. So score there. Lol
Ya know it's funny the same thing happened to me, the power went out at my house and I used the little tv adapter to watch tv. That thing was pretty cool
When Dungeon Explorer 2 was released (I don't think it made it retail, as I've only seen it from turbo zone direct) and it was just a game in a blank jewel case and B&W copy of the cover art. When I asked TZD about it, they said they didn't have any. Not sure if it was for cost cutting or if tzd/tti didn't actually print many at all.
My Turbo Tap crapped out on me back in the day. Was this a known issue? It just stopped working completely. Same with my CD ROM connector, the CD drive worked perfectly for many years after and I used it as a CD player.
My turbo tap has died and I don't really know what's wrong with it. I noticed it has a capacitor in it, so I'm thinking that could be the culprit? I tried buying another "untested" one from ebay (they're getting expensive now), but you can guess how that turned out.
Here is a "straggling" episode of TURBO VIEWS from last December. Have a great weekend and than you, as always! :)
Hey Chris. I hope all is well. When can we order the last set of DVDs? Also is there a Blu Ray version of the set coming out?

Thanks for taking the time to make these. My neighbor and myself each had one but I’ve never met another person did.

The fanny pack would have been bodaciously turbo rad to the max back on the early 90s lmao

This is an excellent preservation of TG16 history. I didn't know many of these details. Well done as always!
Would be real great if you covered the PC Engine side of things. i got a pcengine duo myself. i play imports and ntsc games both on it.

Very interesting facts!
The Information about the packaging is very useful.
Only thing I can think of is the controller extension cable, will send you a picture of it on Facebook :)
Awesome video !!
I am surprised he did not have one, or five, to show in the video.
ever since I fixed my turboexpress your videos have cost me a fortune in trying to pick up games...

Great video, Chris! Learned a few things.
Love the PCEngine Japanese Jewel case artworks mostly 🤠👍
dam, I LOVE this episode !!
I'm a big fan of the Turbo Booster Plus.
Was there ever any back artwork for the gate of thunder three pack? I could have sworn my copy had rear artwork on the back of the cd case.
Ya know it's funny the same thing happened to me, the power went out at my house and I used the little tv adapter to watch tv. That thing was pretty cool
Is the TG16 console style box to house the Turbo Views DVDs still going to happen?
Bonus level!!! Thank you.

Raise your hand if you, like me, bought the TurboBooster. Then saved up working/allowance to finally get the Turbo Grafx CD attachment. Oops. lol
its time for you to review the Analogue Duo
My Turbo Tap crapped out on me back in the day. Was this a known issue? It just stopped working completely. Same with my CD ROM connector, the CD drive worked perfectly for many years after and I used it as a CD player.
Vedy nice. I was a turbo kid too.
good job sir as always

I went through two turbo taps they do die. I eventually I bought a duo tap and that thing works perfect
@@BoboBreez Sadly, I don't have a duo.
Very informative!
