Aye, I used to go there on Tuesday nights to play Magic. Great store. Didn’t know they had a board games night on Fridays now - might have to check that out.
Loving this series - I was in the *exact* same place as you - not a fan of painting until I saw the slap chop technique with the speed/contrast paints and now I am a painting whirlwind! GREAT work!!!
Really liked your video, thank you. I was hopping up n down about you not painting the nurgling on the base 😅 before you showed the finished job on the clear base. Gave me a 'aaaaah' moment when you explained why, very good thinking 😊😊 l use Travelling Man sometimes myself but I too live in the South 😢 Not played Kill Team yet but once I've decided which one I want I will......
I am putting this box on my christmas wishlist! Love Plague marines! And altho I don't like how quickly and hastly you paint everything on minis like these :p I felt anxious how rushed you did that gold trim. If you are going to cover things up with a nuln oil bath I guess it's fine. Altho I like to proper paint the minis first (coloring in between the lines, rather them over them) I apply some streak and grime afterwards too :p Great video as always, looking forward to seeing what you with the box
I love the miniatures in this box, just to mention all footage you see is speeded up 1.6 times as I like to keep my videos short and too the point, that being said I do waffle lots in them lol 😊
That thing in the shoulder is a Nurgling! They used to come in swarm bases as cannon fodder. They still do in Age of Sigmar I believe. Thanks for the inspiration to get through our piles of gray in streamline fashion :)
I got the last edition starter set on sale just before they brought this one out. It will get me back into painting for the first time in 20 years. I will be getting this one next. Little dude is a nurgling, minor daemon of Nurgle.
Waiting for my LGS to open in an hour to go get my pre-order. I am so excited for thr unique death guard. Figure I'll paint the Phobos team as Pre-heresy death guard since I am a Grandpa worshipper through and through.
@MiniatureHobbyist some day some one with a better tin ear will make all I said into a song and you'll have a day planner marked with your ideas matching boxes or prints, so at least you will know what you're doing.
Hi. There is two nuln oil versions. One of them is glossy, just check your pot. Otherwise you can give a thin layer of matt varnish on top of your miniature. Good luck
Love the Newcastle Travelling Man. Great store, great staff and 2 doors down from Forbidden Planet.
Also stock the full range of Army Painter.

I wish I lived near one of the stores, would definently pop in for a game 😊
Awesome manga selection too it's a class little shop

Cheers, yeah it has been a game changer 😊
Got my new Kill Team today too.....superb stuff
Awesome, Im just finishing off painting the rest of the team 😊
I pre-ordered mine and it’s on its way. Be here Wednesday. Perfect timing!
Nice as Im just finishing off the rest of the plague marines so video out soon 😊
The little goblin is called a Nurgling. They are(not goblins lol) smaller demons of Nurgle, the god of unsanitary bath room stalls
Ahhh a nurgling, its green and small so maybe a goblin =P

Haha yup I do love clear bases, its a great game to play, simple, fun and not too long 😊
My copy arrives today! Gonna have a nice treat waiting for me when I get home from work.
Have you started painting yet, awesome miniatures in there 😊

It's sold out everywhere, good luck.
@@dreadtrain2846 managed to find it in stock, already ordered it ✌️
@@SCABRFB Awesome dude!

They're still in 40k. As Deathguard up to 25% of your army can be Daemons.
Cheers, yeah Im realy enjoying this 30 day challenge as it is making me paint stuff from all these boxs Ive had for years lol 😊
Don't be shy with that wash, I think it gives the mins a nice depth. 🎉
Yup I love washes, very simple way of achieving greatness 😊

The starter sets are cool and pretty reasonable for getting 2 full teams, a matt and some terrain 😊
Excellent video mate keep it up 🔥🔥🔥
Cheers, Im slowly getting through my pile of opportunity 😊
Great paint job!
Have you ever tried washing with “marine juice”?
Cheers, erm do I even want to know what is in marine juice lol 😊
Waiting for my LGS to open in an hour to go get my pre-order. I am so excited for thr unique death guard. Figure I'll paint the Phobos team as Pre-heresy death guard since I am a Grandpa worshipper through and through.
Awesome, I hope you are deep into painting those lovely miniatures 😊
Mine arrives in 3 days, woot!
awesome, have fun painting and playing 😊
Nice kit 🔥🤘❤️
It is full of awesome minis 😊
Question, do you skip the gray now when slapchopping?
And would love to see some fallout or mutant year zero miniatures!
Yes. Only black ptimer and white dry brush.
yup dropped it some time ago, didnt see enough difference to make it worth that extra time lol 😊
Curious how you're going to use the clear base, because I think one of the death guard's feet is molded into the base it comes in?
Yup I have assembled them all and there is a couple that will need some delicate cutting away lol 😊
I preordered the set and it finally shipped yesterday! I live in the US so I have to wait a grueling 11 days until it arrives. 💀💀💀
9 days and counting now then 😊
I believe the little creature is called a turdling
yup turdey for short 😊
More Marines, the Starter Set looks better and more fun than the "New" Warcry set
The marines do look cool, especially the plague marines 😊
🎼🎶 On the 9th day of paint much, miniature hobbyists painted plagued us with marines from a kill team!
Keep it going 😊
@MiniatureHobbyist some day some one with a better tin ear will make all I said into a song and you'll have a day planner marked with your ideas matching boxes or prints, so at least you will know what you're doing.
I find that Nuln Oil leave my miniatures with glossy shine :( is there a way to get round this?
Do you dry-brush/slap-chop your minis? If not, that may be the difference. Dry brushing tends to make the mini a bit chalkier.
Hi. There is two nuln oil versions. One of them is glossy, just check your pot. Otherwise you can give a thin layer of matt varnish on top of your miniature.

Yeah they changed the recipe at some stage. Mine is glossy too. Lamia Medium technical paint is to bring it back to matt.
@@RustedParadox Thanks, never hear of that, I'll have to look into it.
Mine doesnt seem glossy but you could spray with a matt varnish after 😊
sell all the bases for those that do like bases
haha yup I do have a draw full of bases 😊
On the ninth day of "Paint Much" Miniature Hobbyist painted for me: another slapchopped kill team!
(Got you covered, Allen. Enjoy your day off!)
Haha you two can do a duet 😊
Hi, Jon. There was a scam-bot in the comments. I removed it for you.
Sound like something a scam bot would say 🤔
@BaseSteve Well, I'm not, but feel free to send me money! 😉
Ahh cheers for that, I am a little late in replying to messages, too busy painting lol 😊
Those gold speed paints didnt do trim the justice.
Im using the warpaint gold next time as it will be stronger in colour 😊
@@MiniatureHobbyist yeah, definitely do that! Keep up the good work!
