Great channel, great content mate ! It's clear that in order to get that authentic Indian 'smokey' taste you need to cook with a large flame outdoors, as not possible in the home - thanks for linking the gas ring and regulator, but what gas bottle do you use and where do you get it from ?

Al, you wear Lederhosen, you drink German beer and eat curries in Munich. Your fanbase is international. If YOU can make it across the Channel to the outside world, don't you think your products should do too?
I'll continue to make up my Al's spice mixes myself using good old Rajah and TRS. I just thought it would be good to try your packs to see if they were better. Anyway, now that I've got that off my chest, I do know it's not your fault and your channel goes from strength to strength, you are unique!

Hi Al, I have same burner but my flame does not burn that high, what have you done to get the flame to burn like that…
Nothing mate it just happens
Chippy what size of gas cylinder you using. If you use small ones that go in patio heaters or into barbecues I don’t think you get enough pressure for big flame. Some of the burners tell you you need to use large cylinders. Have a look at this
@@ovaltini99 hi, have exactly the same burner as Als. My flame does not burn as high as shown on his video. I have tried mixing more air and less air with the gas but still no joy…..👍

Looks great, I have learnt with Balti's when done in the real dish, to give them a full blast of heat for at least last 40s to a min, then don't eat!
Let it rest for 3 to 4 mins then tuck in.

You need look at the vegetarian curries and mixed ones. Gobi aloo and gosht palak are amazing dishes. Also keema prantha. Loved the series. Staff curry looked delicious.

Loved the series. Made your gravy and it makes such a huge difference. I am lucky enough to live in the Bradford area so I can get ingredients quite easily and at good prices. Maybe come up here to some if the older restaurants?

As a 16 yo Brummie back in the mid-80’s I thought balti was common all over the country, couldn’t believe it when I went to an Indian restaurant down south and they didn’t have a balti on the menu 😂
Yeah, the Birmingham Balti is pretty unique
Same dude. Back then, Ladypool Rd and The Grand Tandoori on the Stratford Rd were my go-to spots.
@@FreshfrogmarketingUk My local was the Royal Watan on the Pershore Road (still going) but made regular trips into Sparkbrook, when I went to a restaurant near Wembley, I just instinctively asked for a balti chicken saag, the waiter didn’t know what I was asking for, he could don chicken saag, I told him it was cooked and served in a metal balti bowl , he said we can server it in a metal bowl if you want 😂
@@italsounds001 At least you're still in the UK. I live in Spain so no chance of a really good Balti, although some are not bad at all. Just made this one and it's pretty good to be honest.

If you click on the link that Al gave you end up in Spicy Joe's, the distributor. There you will find the mailing list for the hundreds of countries they DON'T send to, including Australia. Apparently, they only supply the UK. They blame Covid 19 and other issues. Brexit probably. Greetings from Germany.

Shababs is suddenly all over UA-cam, and it's a decent Balti restaurant. It's a shame that so many other Balti restaurants in the area have disappeared over the past few years. Shababs baltis are good, but not enough sauce for my liking. I gained access to the old Shababs kitchen many years ago when their Baltis were better in my opinion.
When you order, just ask for your balti to be saucier or extra sauce!
