During the apparition Our Lady used the term "pommes de terre" and the children didn't understand what she meant. They quickly glanced at each other and looked confused. Our Lady then used the local patois to help them understand the word for potato. I remember reading about this apparition and that when the two kids first saw the Beautiful Lady sitting and weeping, they were struck by the deep heartbreak that her sobs seemed to convey. Even though the Lady was a short distance from the kids, they could hear her weeping. To the children her sorrow seemed to come from the very depths of the Beautiful Lady's soul.
I just recently purchased the little booklet about the "Apparition of the Blessed Virgin on the Mountain of La Salette." I found it on the Sisters of Carmel website. I'm not Catholic but I've wanted to see Her all my life, and I mean, to see her the way she's been seen in La Salette, Lourdes, Garabandal, Fatima, and now Medjugorji. I want to see her. I want to see her so much.
