My beloved mum and dad went to Fatima in 1990. She had just been diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. There was no mistake, she had every graphic symptom. On her return the cancer had gone. I'm not a believer but I'm Portuguese and I was at the "Santuário de Fátima" on the centenary of May 13, 1917( in 2017) and I can tell you that it was one of the most remarkable experiences of my life. I was agnostic now I don't even know what to believe but I know that I felt something there that transcended me and made me feel something so strong and powerful that I started to cry.

Then something that happened that showed me he IS real, so now I know it (specifically in the concept of a soul and afterlife). Besides if you think about it, there is much more proof that God does exist vs not exist. How close to the truth it is…that’s unknown. My only suggestion is to just not close the door on anything. Keep your mind open and I’m sure you will eventually figure it out.

If you refer to the Blessed Virgin Mary the Bible talks about her and much. You say that when we pray Hail Mary full of grace is blasphemy but those are the words the Angel Gabriel said to her when he appeared to tell her she would be the mother of Jesus, and she is the real mother of Jesus. As poetic as the King James Version and many of the more modern English translations of the Bible are, many are actually quite different from the actual Greek Texts. Thanks for posting this. I remember first hearing about this when I was 7 years old (45 years ago). It has stuck with me ever since.
I'm not a believer but I'm Portuguese and I was at the "Santuário de Fátima" on the centenary of May 13, 1917( in 2017) and I can tell you that it was one of the most remarkable experiences of my life. I was agnostic now I don't even know what to believe but I know that I felt something there that transcended me and made me feel something so strong and powerful that I started to cry.

Then something that happened that showed me he IS real, so now I know it (specifically in the concept of a soul and afterlife). Besides if you think about it, there is much more proof that God does exist vs not exist. How close to the truth it is…that’s unknown. My only suggestion is to just not close the door on anything. Keep your mind open and I’m sure you will eventually figure it out.

If you refer to the Blessed Virgin Mary the Bible talks about her and much. You say that when we pray Hail Mary full of grace is blasphemy but those are the words the Angel Gabriel said to her when he appeared to tell her she would be the mother of Jesus, and she is the real mother of Jesus. But to quote some important parts I tell you to read the Gospels, where the angel GABRIEL greets Mary and says "Hail full of grace the Lord is with you", then another important one is when she visits Elizabeth and she says:"Blessed are thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, for who am I that the Mother of My Lord should come to me" (these are words from the Bible) ... also in the Apocalypse they talk about Mary Like the woman clothed with the SUN with the moon under her feet. And so many other references of the Virgin will give birth to a son the son of the Most High etc. On the cross before he died Jesus tells his mother "behold thy son" referring to St. John and all humanity and then to St. John Jesus says "behold thy Mother". We have a mother in heaven and he who despises the mother of God should tremble.

This is ridiculous. It really depends on what translation of the Bible you use. The Douay-Rheims bible which is translation based on the LATIN VULGATE clearly states "full of grace". As poetic as the King James Version and many of the more modern English translations of the Bible are, many are actually quite different from the actual Greek Texts.
Anyway, here is the translation from the Douay-Rheims bible, which is the Bible that Catholics traditionally follow.
"And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God into a city of Galilee, called Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
The bottom line is that you either acknowledge the importance of Mary in salvation history or you don't. For Catholics, Eastern Orthodox Churches, and to some degree even Muslims (Yes, she is the only woman in the Koran who has a chapter (sura) dedicated to her given that she is the mother of Jesus), the importance begin the minute that Jesus uttered those words on Calvary..."When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, 'Woman, behold, your son!'. Then he said to the disciple, 'BEHOLD, YOUR MOTHER’" (Jn 19:26-27).
I honestly saw the rationale behind attacking the personal beliefs of others, all that does is create negativity and animosity that is not consistent with anything Christ preached. Remember he actually criticized the Pharisees for knowing the letter of the law, but not practicing it.
