    ------
Nobody is alternate with impunity. Is the meaning when you do a web search for material in audio and video if Sinéad O'Connor. In addition it is the artist who scored a whole season with your polemics around religion and customs, we can say that his stance against what is known as cultural industry earned him my change in the same currency that industry: its material is completely dispersed, sometimes with the glaring failures of editing and production. This contrasts not only with the caution that this same industry dismissed those who know the rules of the game, as the fellow countrymen of U2, as with real gold mining that has been done in his work in recent years. This has already yielded, for example, launching a box with 8 albums containing since career standards even records in which barely listen to the instruments on stage, such the precariousness of the recording. What is evident about it all is that the reason so much of the label "alternative" as such are moments like the bailout that video. An absolutely brilliant artist, able to take 6 minutes of music almost to capella and giving the right to make unique and privileged a voice over tool to highlight the letter "Feel So Different", written by her, which is interpreted performance completly. For her to have done on the show a sequence was kept in this video content without cuts, including also "Emperor's New Clothes", which she interprets with great indignation of whom has always been an activist and express it in his music.
    ------
One of the most controversial pop singers of the Decade of 1990, Sinéad O'Connor gradually became one of the most influential names among the vocalists that emerged after it. Your visual, with totally shaved head, added to destructured garments, made a Sinéad to feminist icon show it the opposite way to which we were accustomed to femininity and sexuality. The singer managed to, with this, change the image of women in rock, leaving aside stereotypes and proving that it is not necessary to be a sexual object to be taken seriously.

She was so unique, beautiful human being and gave courage to people abused by religions to come out and make their voices to be heard.

Sie wurde nicht von den Religionen missbraucht, denn darin suchte sie einen Halt, den Sinead dort nicht fand. Sie wurde von den Menschen missbraucht, die ihr nicht halfen, auch von dem Publikum als Sinead "War" sang.

    What a god given voice.
What a brave and caring woman.
When she wails she gives me chills.
How can you fall in love, and weep for someone you never met? This tough old redneck is not ashamed to say I did.

    • @aWomanFreed
      @aWomanFreed Рік тому +5

You’re not in love with her, you’re in love with her rebellious energy….it’s infectious….and that’s a massive danger to the power structure.

    • @daveandersen2484
      @daveandersen2484 Рік тому +13

@@aWomanFreed that’s about 25 percent of why. But the more I learned about her, the past 2 weeks, while I was mourning her, it’s much deeper.
The first reason I was in love with her, is she was beautiful when she was young. Remember we men are pigs. And she had a voice that could give me goosebumps and make me cry, on certain songs she sang.
Being sexy, and the ability to effect my emotions when she sang.,
But as I learned more about her the past 2 weeks. Especially in her book rememberings .. it was she loved her family. Had a fairly typical childhood except for her abusive mother. And had a lifelong hungering for god. And I share the normal parts of her childhood. And the lifelong hungering for god. Even though I was raised by agnostic parents and grandparents. And she was raised by deeply religious parents and grandparents. So it was our common bond to want to make contact with a god who we can’t see or talk to.
Our shared desperation- vulnerability, that we didn’t evolve from a fish, who developed lungs and legs. And that’s what modern science teaches.
Then the more I learned about her. It was her non materialistic lifestyle. Much like mine.
They wanted her to dress in tight dresses with long hair. And become a madona or Brittany spears, which she could have done. But she didn’t want to try hard to be beautiful. At the expense of hurting others who are not beautiful. She wanted to dance to her own music. For her own reasons. And she was a loving wife and mother.
I wasn’t in love with her until the last 2 weeks. As I learned more about her. At first she was just a sexy young shaven headed woman, with a powerful voice. And then she became more to me. The more I learned about her.
She is just another hopeless soul , crying out to god, her whole life, just like me. And you add all those things up, and that’s why I fell in love, and cried many tears.
That would never happen just for the pretty 20-25 year old girl who had a few great songs. Until I saw her life story and 10 great albums and duets .

@daveandersen2484 very lovely tribute. I am glad you have learned more about her now like many.
She didn't really have a normal childhood...can't really when you have abuse like that and are kicked into a home for wayward women. She shaved her head not to make others feel better or to hide her beauty for that reason, it was so she would not be used for her beauty and to be seen as talented for who she was. She was feminist. Intensely so. She was God loving, but not at the expense of real world and science. She was a priest. She was a human. I also found to love her deeply. For the way she tells truth and was soft and flawed and could not go against her values. She was anti-racist, and ally to LGBTQ+ and intensely Anti Fascist. She was so many contradictions. A punk, a sweet mother, very Feminine, dark and light. A Prophet. The prophet is never loved by the main stream until they are gone. Hearing people say they finally learned of her talent now was so sad to me. Her non-pop albums were so full of beauty and artistry. I hope when people see her now they see the people she stood up for...the abused of the church, the black and brown, the different, the oppressed and those longing to be free. I hope those who love her vote and act like they understand now what she was saying. ♥️✨️🤞🏼

@@dreawearsshoes it’s all the things you said. It’s the things I said.
But mainly, it’s the fact I can sense her deep desire for a deeper relationship with god.
      I’m not saying it right.
She and i.. and a billion other empathetic souls….are not just satisfied, reading ancient books about god… we would give anything to be able to just see god.. or let the world see god.. our hunger to see god, practically made us both crazy… imagine how much nicer the world would be if we could just see the creator while on earth… people would be nicer to each other… it takes one to know one.. and she and I… just want to see
There is an old saying, with the holy books. “ don’t question it, just believe it “ our creator didn’t design us this way. We have a skeptical nature for survival

    • @nealm6764
      @nealm6764 Рік тому +2

      What a nice tribute.
She was so full of contradictions, I doubt anyone ever could truly understand her.
She searched for God in a way, but she wanted to find God in her terms. She approached religion like a buffet: "Ill take some of this, some of that, no, I don't like that stuff, that either!" etc.
It just doesn't work that way. You either accept in faith or... well you end up like Sinead and never find the God that conforms to YOU, and not the other way around.
There is a reason it is called "faith".

How was it overblown? The pope was protecting his priests instead of the children they raped. Sinead ripped up a picture of the evil pope and called him the real enemy. For that, the conservatives in America were ready to attack her in every way they could. Nowadays they call school librarians perophiles and groomers. They are dangerous.

Also, I pray for her children to receive this energy. She was one of a kind, and a true inspiration for women all over the world. Her music felt like freedom, and her journey was so like multitudes of her fans who also only want to be free from the chains of shame the church tries to lay on us.
Rest in Heaven Sinead. You are sorely missed on earth.

I was fortunate to see Sinead in Providence, Rhode Island in late 1997 or so, she was on her "Gospel Oak" tour and rocking a full head of hair! What a voice, what a performer, what a person! Probably the bravest singer in the past 30 years, and she gets no credit for it, only disparagement because she tore up the pic of the pope to protest the church's neglect of child abuse (and she has been proven right, over and over again). I wish I was half as brave as her.

It seems like years since you held the baby
    While I wrecked the bedroom
You said it was dangerous after Sunday
And I knew you loved me
He thinks I just became famous
And that's what messed me up
    But he's wrong
How could I possibly know what I want
    When I was only twenty-one?
    And there's millions of people
To offer advice and say how I should be
But they're twisted and they will never be
    Any influence on me
    But you will always be
    You will always be
    If I treated you mean
    I really didn't mean to
But you know how it is
And how a pregnancy can change you
I see plenty of clothes that I like
But I won't go anywhere nice for a while
All I want to do is just sit here
And write it all down and rest for a while
I can't bear to be in another city
    One where you are not
I would return to nothing without you
If I'm your girlfriend or not
    Maybe I was mean
But I really don't think so
    You asked if I'm scared
    And I said so
Everyone can see what's going on
They laugh 'cause they know they're untouchable
Not because what I said was wrong
    Whatever it may bring
I will live by my own policies
I will sleep with a clear conscience
    I will sleep in peace
    Maybe it sounds mean
But I really don't think so
You asked for the truth and I told you
    Through their own words
    They will be exposed
They've got a severe case of
    The emperor's new clothes
    The emperor's new clothes
    The emperor's new clothes
    The emperor's new clothes
