I love your comment, I am Canadian but my gosh from the moment I began my love for Sinead...when she had her first single....and then from when she had the courage, the guts, the sheer braveness to rip up the Pope's picture on SNL which I saw live, on tv..the Catholic evil church and SA and the Indigenous children still being found now. Sinead said what everyone knew, she said it "out loud" and openly and honestly.....she made my day and became not only one of my favourite artists, she became my HERO. I hope she is finally resting in Peace and I also hope those who chastized her for her honesty go look at themselves in the mirror and question themselves. She was an Irish Icon, she did you guys, us, and everyone proud. RIP Sinead. Genius, creative brilliance and always honest. People don't want to hear the truth. Shame for shame.❤❤❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻
She is on complete fire here. The crowd is also. As fierce a musical performance as I have ever seen. It feels like we lost decades more of this when the media and culture turned on her.
She continued to tour, preferring small intimate venues. I actually have tickets to a show she was supposed to do in Chicago last year. Amazing amazing performer and soul.
Yes clown show SNL didn't like matter subject matter like discussing child abuse and Catholicism she's a fighter but she exhausted herself fighting the stigma and rhetoric for years I think she had some ptsd too.
Take care of yourself Sinead. You are about my age, and I cherish your voice. I know it’s hard to take care of yourself, when sensitive people like you see the reality of this world. But we need people like you to be HERE, and speak out.
damn this comment hurts right now. but she did. didn't she. she spoke out. no matter the cost. not like most cowards today watching fascism creep back into power.

One of the most riveting sets I've ever seen was Sinead at Glastonbury. She opened with this and never let go. May she rest with the angels, and God bless anyone who refuses to be constrained to a box in order to speak the truth.
She was SO strong. Let’s honor this woman. Such talent, such heart, such intelligence. I am deeply saddened at how much she has suffered and hope she can fully reclaim her peace. May god be with her. I think her peace must be in relieving the suffering of others. Transmute that pain, sinead!
We are the same age Sinead, I saw you in 1988 at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, and was hoping to see you in concert again. You now sleep in peace. You are a true warrior.
I host a music game on Facebook every Friday night for the past 10 years. I had never heard this before somebody played the studio version of it this last Friday night - leading me to this jaw dropping live concert version from 1990. I can't recall a recent time when I've been more deeply touched by the profound intended meaning conveyed by something at this level of musical brilliance. I so wish I had been introduced to this song while the artist was still on the planet. Thank you so very much, Sinead. I mean, seriously. For me, at this juncture, put this sucker on and just hit the "repeat" button on volume 11. WOW!!!!!!!
I love comments like this where someone just discovered her talent! it is like seeing it through new eyes for me, and remembering 30 years ago. I wish she never did that Prince song. She was on another level of brillance. Humanity did not deserve her. We weren’t worthy. A year after her passing, I still get emotional listening to her art.
I'm the same age as Sinéad and I discovered her in 1987. If I ever met her, I bet I would wanna hug her and never let go and have a good cry for about eternity. 💔

rest in peace...Ms O'Connor....you were truly a diamond in the rough, a humanitarian, a wonderful musician and a fantastic human being....we miss you so so much....
Dubbed this track on cassette tape to play in my car during the nineties as a favorite live recording. Along with Zeppelins Live 'Whole Lotta love' got me through many rush hour delays on the 401 during the early 90's. Sinead O'Connor, you did what you could in helping the vulnerable... RIP and sleep well knowing you made a difference.
It’s 2023 and we need a powerful voice just like this to help us unite against all the corruption the people just can’t seem to see! Oh great singer/songwriter out there, help us unite for Real Truth and give us strength to become overcomes! Rest In Peace Ms. O’Connor, your memory will never die!😘
when you think about it, she pretty much cleared the conscience of several generations... she was so hated (and loved) for what she revealed, but she liberated so many people...certainly you can say that many artists are "honest"... but her music seems to have a different level of honesty about it. There's no artifice and it's obvious she feels good about that and can express so much in her performances... she knew what it was like to speak her peace and I feel she probably enjoyed a different level of freedom than most people know.
Sinead at the apex of human cool. And I've watched this countless times over the years, and am begging for an HD version, this performance deserves high fidelity. Nobody move, nobody gets hurt!
