Memes aside, I actually like the concept behind Jiren. A man who lost everything to the point where he detached himself of all emotion and became a powerhouse so that nothing or nobody could hurt him ever again. But as he fights Goku, a man who reaches his level with the support of others, he starts to see that maybe his way of fighting, his way of living, might be wrong. But because he is not used to circumstances like these, he does not know how to take this revelation. Because of this, he lashes out, and even attacks Goku's friends. It isn't until he gets the panic attack beaten out of him and listens to Toppo's cheers that he realizes what he had ignored for so long. Friends...are not so bad after all.

Anime: One of the strongest mortals in the series, is stronger than his universe's Hakaishin, pushed Goku and co to their absolute limits in order to beat him. Game: Debatably the worst character in the game, atypical combo structure, unarmoured 28f command grab 5H, shitty counters (one of which makes him more vulnerable rather than less). EDIT: They actually buffed him. The absolute madmen!

This might sound weird, but this song gives me the same emotional vibe as Ragna's theme in BlazBlue: Rebellion. The aggressive and menacing theme that sounds just sad. The song of someone doomed to always walk their path alone. It's that loneliness of Jiren that I think is so well represented here. He can have all the strength he wants, but it doesn’t change anything. The way he is now, he'll always be a lonely hero.
I just love how everyone finally decided to embrace the ridiculousness of Jiren's power and just started making Jiren facts. Because that was the idea to begin with, DB is still a comedy series that implements cool fight scenes simply because they are cool.
They've also both got Daisuke Ishiwatari as the composer. I'm just making a point that Jiren's theme is closer to BlazBlue's "synth metal" style than the rest of the cast (which happens to be closer to Guilty Gear's "hard rock/heavy metal" style).
