These ideas are not exclusively judeo christian. They are also very islamic and probably brought to judeo/christean europe thanks to islamic scholars in andalucia and via their judeo (Maimonides) and christian (Thomas Aquinas) scholars.

With all due respect to Stephen Meyer, it seems he doesn't give Eastern cultures their just due in this interview. Without the likes of Marco Polo and the Silk Road, probably few of these revolutions would have come about when and where they did. Besides, what Meyer is describing as the "Scientific Revolution" is actually largely based on a Cartesian approach. But the Asian worldview thinks it is the whole that better facilitates understanding of the constituent parts rather than thinking that the sum of the parts is the whole.
The scientific revolution and the Renaissance were preceded by a revival of interest in the Semitic languages and the Hebrew Bible - and the Hebraic mindset shares a lot with typical Eastern mindsets and worldviews, because Asians typically don't sequester their rational reasoning from intuition. John Locke's First Treatise of Government has over a hundred quotes from the Hebrew Bible, which is the basis for his account of human rights, as the "image of Elohiym" and dominion of the earth was bestowed not only on the kings, but rather to all of humanity. Nowadays, the new intellectual movement called "Political Hebraism" has documented such developments before the scientific revolution and Renaissance. I recommend especially the works "Hebrew Republic" by Nelson and "John Locke and the Hebrew Bible" by Leiter. The Asian mind naturally resists naturalism as the be all and end all when it comes to causal explanations; so of course the Asian/Semitic worldview was a valuable contributor to this new approach to looking at the cosmos.
I believe that the scientific revolution was greatly facilitated by the revival of not only Hebraic language, but also Hebraic worldview, which in many ways is a counterpoint and reproof of the predominant Hellenistic one that has dominated academia. At the core of prevailing Hellenistic worldviews such as the one promoted by Plato was that the spiritual and material cosmoses were fundamentally opposed and never the twain shall meet. For instance gnostic concept of the demiurgus, i.e., a second Creator who created the inherently evil, mortal, and imperfect material world is fundamentally opposed to the Biblical narrative and worldview. In contrast, the Hebraic worldview of course believes that the material world was created "very good" but at some point was corrupted due to the effects of sin. This means that the material world is redeemable, whereas for many Greek worldviews, the material cosmos is only deemed fit for death and decay.

If anyone thinks the Bible is the "word of God" and not ancient authors, *specifically the elite priestly guilds (Yahweh-only parties),* speaking for their imaginary god, they need to read the below article from a critical Biblical scholar and spend some time reading the other articles on his website. Basically the Bible is Israelite propaganda.
**If** there is a god or creator of the universe, then it isn't a primitive Hebrew war/storm god that loves animal sacrifices and the smell of barbecued animal carcasses, who does battle with mythological sea creatures like other fictional gods from ancient Canaan and who was one of *many* patron deities out of a host of gods and goddesses from the region, before becoming "God of the universe" as monotheism started taking shape and who was conflated with the fictional Canaanite gods El and Baal.
Time to start using critical thinking, people.
"So for example, when we read carefully what Yahweh says in the book of Leviticus, namely that the Aaronids (the sons of Aaron only), are high priests contrary to the Levites, that they alone are Yahweh’s mediators and the Levites are reduced to mere ministers of the Aaronids, that only through sacrifice can one atone for sins and not confession as preached by the Levites, or more precisely the Levite’s Yahweh, etc., *it can be no coincidence that in these laws and commandments,* ***which are placed on the mouth of Yahweh,*** *that Yahweh himself is presented advocating and legitimating the very views and beliefs of the specific priestly guild writing the text, and, contrary to the views and beliefs of their rivals, the Levites and the Levite’s Yahweh!* We will examine this more closely when we get to the contradictions in these books. But in short, this was the function of ancient literature, and we are allowing these ancient texts to speak for themselves. *In this particular case, the Levites and Aaronids wrote specific texts that each advocated their religious beliefs, views, and their position as high priests* ***by writing these sentiments directly into the mouth of their god!***
But just studying the Bible alone, scientifically, affords us the occasion *to see that many of these so-called words of Yahweh are* ***actually the very words of the texts’ authors.*** When we see numerous texts employing this ancient literary technique, and moreover, ***presenting Yahweh as the spokesperson for their own views and agenda,*** *and* ***contrary*** *to Yahweh’s other words in other texts written by other authors employing the same technique,* how can one conclude otherwise.
In other words, when in the composite text that we now call the Bible we find: Yahweh declaring that only Aaronids can officiate as his priests and Yahweh declaring that all Levites can officiate as high priest; Yahweh declaring that sin is atoned through confession and Yahweh declaring that sin is only expiated through the sacrificial cult, no exceptions; Yahweh declaring that he gave laws and commandments at Sinai and Yahweh declaring that he only gave the Ten Commandments at Sinai; Yahweh commanding to exterminate all the Canaanites without pity and Yahweh declaring to tolerate them and live in their midst; Yahweh declaring that the wilderness generation were disloyal and rebellious and Yahweh declaring that they were a paradigm of loyalty and faith; Yahweh declaring that he may be offered sacrifices at any altar and Yahweh declaring that there is only one altar where sacrifices are to be offered up; Yahweh declaring that the people saw him at Sinai and Yahweh declaring that they only heard his voice; Yahweh declaring that circumcision is an eternal covenant and keeping the land depends on observing this very commandment and Yahweh declaring the Mosaic laws as the covenant and keeping the land is dependent on keeping these laws; Yahweh declaring that he dwells in the midst of the people and Yahweh declaring that he only resides in heaven; Yahweh commanding Passover to be celebrated by all at Jerusalem and Yahweh commanding it to be celebrated at each person’s home; Yahweh commanding that animals for consumption must be ritually sacrificed and Yahweh commanding that they don’t have to be sacrificed ritually, etc. ***one must conclude that Yahweh is being used by these authors, each with their own contrary views and beliefs as a spokesperson for each of these authors’ agendas.*** These are all the personal, and competing, views, theological beliefs, and religious systems of our biblical authors. And this is only the tip of the iceberg."

Cancel culture is not a new phenomenon but has long been practiced in the scientific community for the past several centuries. Beliefs that are tolerated are taught and spread while beliefs out of favor are shut down and shunned. In the modern day politics uses this same mechanism to fund ideas that further the political narrative while those that go against this narrative are not funded and the scientists doing contrary research are shunned and isolated within the scientific community. As the Borg say...RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!!

I just read a interesting book about how weather itself explains the historical record. Average temperature has fallen for the past 100 million years. Since humans entered this world their advances parallel increasing temperatures and their struggles are due to decreasing temperatures. This is all about the struggle to stay alive and whether food is abundant or very scarce and in limited supply. Cold weather influences the chemistry of the world and limit food production while warmer weather does the exact opposite.

You make the mistake of presuming that the Catholic Religion is christianity ~ It is not. In fact christianity is not a religion exactly tho most presume that it is. Religion is man reaching for truth through traditions of men. Truth is God reaching out to men from supernatural means. Unless you get it it will elude you. Remember that satan and his demons have hijacked every religion and you will be ok ~ Catholic means "UNIVERSAL" it is thus that these pope worshipers who deify Mary and saints also do the extreme opposite of what God's law dictates. The Catholics follow the traditions of chamelion like fitting into each age and absorbing every "religion" they can. They're doing it now in fact reaching out to every religion on earth to try and evoke ECUMENISM ~ This pope worship and every artifice of treachery the catholics have spawned is the source of PROTESTANTISM via Martin Luther ~ Study it ~

@@lazaruscomeforth7646 Let's see, what kind of "framework of lies" supposedly animates atheism? It will be interesting to see how you think that works.
Consider my case: I've been an atheist from day one. I just happened to have never experienced, learned, or encountered anything that fashioned my mind into thinking this or that religion had any better case than any other. For all intents and purposes, I was a blank slate, religion-wise, with only one particularity: I happen to enjoy reading ancient mythology (notably Sumerian, Egyptian, Hellenic, and Roman mythologies).
At some point about a decade ago, I discovered that I liked philosophy, and decided to explore this vast discipline, which naturally brought to learning more about a lot of things, among which were religious beliefs, doctrines, and theologies. One thing leading to another, I decided to read the Christian Bible (which took me quite a bit 😅), as well as exploring the disciplinary niche of academic biblical studies. This last journey of mine started about five years ago.
So far, I must say, I find quite a lot of positive things to say on religious community-building, and needless to say the Bible has intriguing stories in troves, including what I can only call mythology. It reads like it, looks like it, and checks out exactly like it, historically speaking. Was I surprised? A little at first, and then I had plenty of time to realise how I shouldn't have expected more than what I read, while reading the genealogical litanies.
That being said, the scientific literature is sadly where religious predictions and placeholder theories on nature come to die. Smarter religious institutions allow themselves to be informed by the evidence and revise their model of the world. Others simply reject evidence and dive deeper into lala land. Others yet admit the evidence is there, but find different ways to cope with said evidence, usually by doing some degree of scientific misrepresentation and superimposed subjective interpretations.
This video was precisely that kind of copium-friendly material, dialed up to eleven!
It's not really surprising just... sad. 🤨
Anyhow, enjoy your faux scientific understanding to the fullest, because luckily for you your smartphone and computer, and just about any other invention of the modern world, won't stop working solely because you think the theories that make them work say completely different things, or don't describe real phenomena accurately. It's science you know. It works. And it doesn't require that you have faith in it to do so. One might even say faith is wholly antithetical to the scientific process.

Layers and layers of lies you said, Proverbs 30:33: Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife. Would you be inviting this upon yourself to see that the bible is true in all it says?

    • @lucofparis4819

@@amos3three941 I said this simply because that's what these apologists are doing. They're not good persons, and they're certainly leading you astray, not just from scientific knowledge, they're leading you astray from your religion as well. Since you like Bible quotes, here's some Jeremiah to chew on:
      Jeremiah 23:16-20
This is what the Lord Almighty says:
      “Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you;
they fill you with false hopes.
They speak visions from their own minds,
not from the mouth of the Lord.
They keep saying to those who despise me,
‘The Lord says: You will have peace.’
And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts
they say, ‘No harm will come to you.’
But which of them has stood in the council of the Lord
to see or to hear his word?
Who has listened and heard his word?
See, the storm of the Lord
      will burst out in wrath,
      a whirlwind swirling down
on the heads of the wicked.
The anger of the Lord will not turn back
      until he fully accomplishes
      the purposes of his heart.
