- Big Bang Cosmology and the Origin of the Universe: Is the universe the type of place that would exist if there were nothing behind it but “blind, pitiless existence”?
I could watch this all day long!
How nice to see dr Meyer! Thank you Sir for your Books!
When will you have another young Earth creationist on the John Ankerberg show, Dr Jason Lisle would be a fantastic guest to have on your show. Dr. Jason Lisle is a Christian astrophysicist who researches issues pertaining to science and the Christian faith. Lisle earned a PhD in astrophysics at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Dr Lisle has worked at Answers in Genesis, the Institute for Creation Research, and is the Founder of the Biblical Science Institute.
His dissertation was on the 4+ billion year old Sun!!!
Now, claims the Earth is 6000 years old to sell books!!!
@@MutsPub Who are smearing, Jason Lisle. why?
@@jayjaydiamond4924 Truth! He belongs to a YEC camp that teaches if you do not believe what they do you are a heretic!
The Bible IS the inerrant word of God!!
The age of the Earth is NOT a salvation issue!
The age of the Earth is NOT stated in ANY Creed!
Did you even read what I posted?
Don't be a lemming, read his dissertation for yourself!
Do you know what a PhD dissertation is?
The Earth is 4.5662 +/- 0.0001 billion years old!
Dinosaurs went extinct some 66 million years ago!
Lisle know this!
Try to visualize the difference between a six thousand year old Earth and a 4.5 billion year old Earth
That is like having:
a) $6,000 - six thousand dollars
or
b) $4,500,000,000 - 4.5 billion dollars
He is lying to make money !!!!!!!!!!
I'll NOT argue!
@@MutsPub Regardless of your worldview or view on Jason Lisle. To suggest, that you know he is lying, is nothing short of speculation. You, clearly have no insight in what he genuinely beliefs, so please don't pretend like you do. Are you claiming every creationist is lying enorder sell books?
Thank you both for sharing. God bless you and your loved ones. Maranatha!
Thank you.
I like Dr. Meyer a lot
And Dr. Lisle
1 vote for Dr. Lisle
According to Lisle in his dissertation, the Sun is billions of years old!
Now, He claims that the Earth is 6000 years old to sell books!
Wake Up.
excellent video! God exists
I recall reading about someone "stretching out the heavens" when I read the Psalms. The red shift and the illusion of a universe billions of years old (if one accepts gradualistic and uniformitarian extrapolative bias) thus have a Biblical explanation, it would appear.
This is not new scientific evidence. Although It is a refresher. God does exists!
🙂👍
In the light of the the James Webb Space Telescope deep field image of July: Garden variety spiral galaxies a mere 200 million light years from the a theorized Big Bang, makes the theory highly questionable.
No it doesn’t. The event called the Big Bang still happened. Our understanding of how galaxies formed in the early universe needs updating and to be reworked. This happens in all scientific fields is study when new technologies and equipment come about.
@@therick363 I would love to hear a rational explanation as to how these galaxies could form (with 2nd generation stars, billions of years old) in 200 million years.
@@StephenGoodfellow that’s exactly what cosmologists and astrophysicists are trying to figure out. But that doesn’t in any way affect the moment we call the Big Bang. So so many theists have tried to jump onto the JWST and misrepresent or not even read the articles that have come out about the new data. NONE of them say the Big Bang didn’t happen.
If the Heavens and the earth were created by God then God was clearly imperfect. A God must be a completely perfect self sustaining being who cannot have desires. Desires produce wants. If a God has wNts He cannot be perfect or self sustainingbor even happy. Furthermore, if you read Genesis carefully you'll discover that God created the Sun after plants! How is that possible?
@@hwd7 Plants require sunlight at specific wavelengths to split water and reduce CO2. Other forms of light would not be very effective. Even if we found a suitable planet around a red dwarf (our sun is a G-2 spectral class yellow dwarf with peak emissions at 550 microns) our plants would not grow there. But read Genesis again and you'll see I'm correct. I diacovered this discrepancy when I was about 16 and my minister at the time was dumbfounded. Besides, the sky is not a dome which separates the waters. That's absolutely false. Furthermore, the Noah's Ark story is a myth. The Bible is filled with contradictions and cannot be taken seriously as an explanation of the origin of life or human beings. Any educated person knows this. Unfortunately for Christian apologetics, the old philosophical arguments put forward by theologians and philosophers centuries ago are unsound.
I had 3 children from my first wife and raised all of them with some church experiences. We went to several different churches- but mostly the Unitarian congregation in Reno.
I think you need to re-read genesis a bit more carefully. It doesnt actually say 'create' in relation to moon & sun. I prefer a long-age creation understanding promoted by Dr Hugh Ross at Reasons to Believe
@@philbuchanan844 That's a cop out. So the other things were not created as well. C'mon...we have evidence and a reasonably good sci theory about the formation of the moon and sun. Besides, how can Genesis be correct when plants are created before the sun? And recall that chlorophyll A requires a specific wavelength of red light (680 um) for photosystem II. Also, photosynthsizing bacteria use longer wavelengths still. In fact, we have living examples of prokarote species that show a gradation of use of long wavelength light in the red and near infrared part of the spectrum. Photosythesis evolved like everything else on the planet. To claim that living things were created is simply absurd given our present day knowledge. The Bible, as any scholar knows, is a mismash of allegorical stories from the Bronze Age, Genesis particularly, myths and nothing more.
@@filamcouple_teamalleiah8479 actually my point is that 'create' (in Hebrew or english) is not used here (in Genesis) re the moon & sun. Long-age creationists (like Dr Hugh Ross) believe sun & moon (and our solar system) were made in the course of our galaxy creation/making (according to physical laws - as per most astronomers/astrophysicists), but that genesis records when light fist arrived on the earth's surface (in any strength) due to thinning of the cloud layer. Please have a look at "A matter of days" by Hugh Ross? Agreed: short age creationists have to address the apparent mis-ordering of genesis - and appealing to special creative events that don't fit within physical law based processes are a major problem - for them. Well, for me anyway.
Except that the lambdaCDM Big Bang Standard Model is absolutely false.
Genesis 1:1
Sure...and Genesis is absolutely correct! That's laughable. Genesis doesn't even get right the proper order of creation. Plants could not of been produced before the sun. Reread Genesis. And why are there two fictional stories about the origin of people in Genesis instead of one? Genesis makes no sense at all, unless you accept it as an allegory produced from assimilation of previous Summerian and Babylonian creation stories- it is fiction.
