Thats very true. I mean just look at how silly the old godzilla movies are. Yes when we think of them, they were great back in the day, but compared to what we can do nowdays, thoes movies really do look silly. But then again who cares. Everyone loved thoes godzilla movies back in the day, and people still do. So, why can't it be same for these moddern monster movies....it absolutely There will always be people out there who will bash these movies no matter what the audience say or no matter how much money these movies may make. Some people are just born to moan about everything.
I don't think silly is the issue with these movies. At least for me, the issue is their focus on un-interesting human plots. I didn't think the show would be a flop but even after watching it I don't think it is that great. It is an average movie. I go in with the same expecatation as a Fast & Furious franchise. (both of which I got higher hopes than a Star Wars movie). Back to the humans, Godzilla Minus One had a better human story that is able to touch a viewers heart. Better character development. In the first act, of GxK, they tell us the girl is unable to fit in (exposition). How about showing us her struggles instead of telling us so that the audiance could care more for the character. Spoiler for next part.... later she has no trouble leaving Hollow earth. What was the point of wasting our time with that story line at all then? Point is.... wanna introduce humans, make their character development good. Else please just give us more Kaijus. Which actually, we got a good amount in this movie but hope you understand my point.
Ever since 2014, I have been loving the MonsterVerse. Even when Marvel was dominating, I have been supporting the MV. Lo and behold, it has been dominating. I find it funny that Godzilla has been underestimated twice, first with Minus One being the most successful foreign film and even winning an oscar and GxK being wild and exciting ride.
for now it is not even close to beating the great successes marvel and dc. Difficult to reach the billion mark, and probably not even at the box office of last year's Guardians of the Galaxy 3
I am exceedingly mirthful that our beloved Godzilla has become so successful that some have literally turned green out of pure jealousy, Godzilla for many of us, Monstervers Godzilla, is that gaurdain Dragon that has been keeping us safe and we all love that awesome monster just by looking at Godzilla is more than enough to take us into the wonderful fantasy world of Monstervers and make us leave this boring life and world so called reality and it does it in such awesome and wonderful way.

An example would be the scene in the monarch series when godzilla was fighting the ion dragon and when he slammed it into the ground the shot flawlessly blended into the view of the people when they were trying to get out of the way
The reason why I and most people was invested in the MCU was the amazing fight scenes. Everything is just a build up for an epic final battle, But no, they had chosen to send a political message. And now the monsterverse is giving what people truly wanted.

Agree. In fact it was a mistake to release Godzilla: King of the Monster at the same year where Endgame is release. And it was a large competition for Legendary and Marvel's Disney. Im happy they learned their mistake as a matter of fact it plans to release the next Spiderverse but got delayed and it was replaced by GxK.
Just watched the movie last night. I was, and still am, a huge fan of King Kong and Godzilla, and my little's are huge fans of the new Godzilla: King of Monsters, Godzilla Minus One and Godzilla vs. Kong, and when we saw the new GXK, we were on the edge of our seats. Yes I do agree that the MCU and the DCU fell off, the monster verse is still far from being a good universe as well. Currently it’s based on the mind of a child and not really anything else, it lacks a key element in films that literally cannot be removed which is a good plot. Like most MV movies the film leaves you craving for the next fight and not caring about the actual important things like the human side of these films. You don’t need to rely on kaiju scenes to make an effective kaiju film, the original 1954 and now with MO have proven exactly that and will still forever be better than GxK. And if you were to say “oh but GxK and MO are 2 different genres” sure they are but that doesn’t take from the fact that MO is what an ideal godzilla film is, it doesn’t need to rely on kaiju’s to make a good film which is something that MV fans should actually consider. Maybe less equals more, less kaiju scenes equals more room for likeable and good character’s that people can enjoy, and then when you think it couldn’t get ANY better you leave the audience in awe with amazing kaiju scenes. It seems like the MV just seems to ignore that part of films leaving more than half of the movie with bad and boring writing, and then the other half somewhat exciting kaiju fights. Not only that but the monster verse seems to be leaving it’s creativity far behind since the first few films were like nothing we have ever seen before but with these newer entries it feels like a repeat of previous films but watered down. You guys can rip me apart for disliking the new monster verse or you can praise me I don’t really care but this is what I think an IDEAL monsterverse should be: rely less on kaiju fights, leave more time for likeable human characters, and add more creativity again.

All movies have different genre, if it's a drama genre it priorities storytelling, if it's big monster genre it priorities action and dumb fun genre

@@Crash-the-Purple-Puppet1 to be fair, the flash wasnt bad, it was mediocore at best for me. but the fact that they didnt even complaint about its vfx while criticizing gxk's vfx is riddiculous lol. hell, they even gave she hulk a better review. ign gave madame web 5/10 then gxk 6/10, like, really? they think that madame web and gxk is almost at the same level? lol
@@rcguitarcovers8614 there was only one part of GxK that looked bad. But it didn’t ruin the more. It was still amazing. The Flash, is the one I hated. Because once I found out the true meaning behind it. It made me hate it even more. It hard to explain the true meaning. So I won’t go into detail. But the fact they had the audacity to say GxK was on the same level as Madame Webb and Flash is crazy
