There is none better at making great “yummy” food easy and beyond delicious and even casual. I was so tired of seeing recipes where you need more than one set of hands ( not to mention the deity of your choice ) intervening on your behalf, to make a tasty meal that you do not need to dress up “ black tie” to feign enjoyment. Not to mention that he is real as you get. Just as human as the rest of us who have to contend with forgetting shit. To put up with the ribbing of one’s offspring. The best thing is the awesome way he and his kids go through life as equals. Yeah he is the dad but he treats them as friends. Very refreshing.

Back in our more adventurous 70's my young wife and I lived near the airport, we'd do family planning on our otherwise private deck. Our neighbors would complain about the small airplanes circling.

Dear Sam and crew, thanks so much for consistently bringing me happiness and laughter during this holiday season. I recent;y had a series of really bad events and packed my life up in Germany and moved back to the US where I have to start my life over with nothing and no one. Your videos make me forget the problems of every day and make me think of what to cook next. Thanks so much everyone for putting a smile on not only my face, but the face of so many others. Since it wasn't called out in the video:
When you're slicing skirt or flank steak, you want to do it both across the grain, and at an angle like Sam did. They're both relatively tough cuts, so cutting across the grain and at that angle shortens the muscle fibers in each slice, which makes them more tender.

The steak things looked great, and I love blue cheese, but the meatballs are what really got me. I am making those later this week.
I make a similar meatball. Basically the only difference is I use half beef, half pork and add diced water chestnuts for some texture/ crunch.... awesome!
I wonder if the gardeners ever think "Man every time we come out here to work this old stoner is cooking. How are we supposed to get anything done smelling that steak?"

Made the crostini but added some pickled onions on top instead of the greens. It was fantastic a hit for New Years Eve party.

Red cabbage fried in bacon grease, fried bacon pieces set aside, add brown sugar and cook until well blended, then add vinegar cook until slightly wilted "dehydrated".
Add bacon bits..

I 100% agree on the horseradish jar. On Christmas I had to do exactly what you did and stick the handle of the spoon in and was cussing about why they didn't make the jar just a bit larger! Some great app ideas here. Thanks

Break your eggs on a flat surface and it will help to stop shell getting into things. Absolutely love these beef starters. Definitely making me some beef and horseradish crostini’s 🤤👌

Tip for people who don't know 6:26 rub half of an onion all over the top of your grilling surface and everything comes out better!
