This is not a debate on which one is right or wrong... The perception of Church has totally changed... And this diversion has taken Christianity for a Toss... Jesus was not born in Rome... Church did not begin in Rome... Christianity eventually reached Rome and for Political benefits Constantine declared Rome as a Christian country and forced other common people who were following secular religions to become Christians. The Mother Mary statue that you follow actually came into place due to a cult that followed Semiramis as a Goddess in Rome. Semiramis was a prostitute who conceived a child. In order to escape from the wrath of people she lied to everyone that her baby is a Messiah like Jesus and she is a Virgin. She kept doing this for a long time and eventually people started believing her to be a virgin mother and started worshipping her. When Rome was declared as a Christian Nation, these cult who followed Semiramis and her "So Called Miracle Baby called Ninyas" mixed it up with Mother Mary and Jesus. There were loads of small cults following similar secular religions and had been using statues for depicting and worshipping them. That is why Roman Catholic Churches now have so many Statues and Pagan Symbols. Bible is the only authority. We need to follow everything from the Bible and only from the Bible. There is nothing mentioned in the Bible which gives any special importance to Mary apart from the fact that she was chosen as a vessel to bring Jesus into this world. Apostles were worshiping on Sabbath days which is according to the Ten commandments. What about the Revelation 14 the 3 Angels message. Ten commandments which was written by God's own fingers are more important than the writings of the apostles.
Actually no... The 10 commandments written by God was later Summarized by Jesus in just 2 Commandments. The keyword being "SUMMARISED" and not REPLACED...If you follow and obey those 2 commandments you will not break the original 10 commandments... Please check in the New Testament in Matthew 22:34-40, Mark 12:28-34, and Luke 10:25-28 1) Love the Lord your God with all your heart mind strength and soul. If you do this you will not believe or worship any other God. You will not take his name in vain and so on 2) Love your neighbour as yourself. If you do this you will honour your parents, you will not steal, you will not commit adultery.
