Wash and Go Demonstration | Curlmix and ENBBA Naturals

- A few months ago I introduced the "Topper Gel" by ENBBA Naturals to be used with other botanical based, water soluble products for styling the Hydrate & Define, a.k.a. Wash and Go hairstyle. In this video tutorial I show you how to style using the Medium Hold Moisturizer by CurlMix as the "First Layer/Base" and Medium Hold Flaxseed Gel by CurlMix as a topper followed by the ENBBA Naturals Styling Gel as the "Final Topper Gel".
The results are Softness, lots and Shine and Volume on Day 1 throughout and throughout the entire week. Typically too much volume on Day 1 means a set that does not last. This washngo remained defined all the way to Day 9. With CurlMix you get volume combined with the ENBBA Naturals Styling Gel for lasting hold.

Abena you really stepped on gold with your enbba naturals gel I have tried a few combinations of the ones you have shared, and they all work very well.
So far, I have been using only enbba or topped with ICH or Jelloshot. I have been able to mains a style of 8 days. It really is a great product. I am hoping you end up expanding like curlmix, and need sponsors. I will definitely have to save my coins to invest if that opportunity ever comes!

I try to order the enbba gel, I live in England the shipping is £25 and the gel is £30. Too expensive shipping 😢
Would it be possible for you to apply your gels the same way you did the moisturizer in the shower? It would seem that you could get good application of product by taking advantage of the hair being flattened and saturated with water w/out having to rake and smooth in smaller sections outside the shower. Could you still get a good set that way?
I have done that on occasions when I did not feel the first layer of product application, was going to do well to hold onto moisture or would be too stiff to twist and clip up. For example, when I styled my hair for the first time using ICH as the base and ENBBA as the topper. And when I styled my hair using the Curlmix medium hold flaxseed gel as the base and ENBBA as the topper. However, the styling process remained the same. And yes, each of them were good sets. I prefer just to do one layer of application in the shower and do the rest outside of the shower because I do not style immediately, sometimes there’s 50 minutes to an hour and a half break in between product application (shower) and styling (when I am fully dressed)

Did you cover your hair with a processing cap after your shower until you began your styling or does the hair not have to be very wet after the moisturizer?
Good question. It didn't look like it was very wet.
@kjeneen no I do not cover my hair with a processing cap. My hair was pretty moist. Maybe not the same level of moist that it is with curly magic where it’s all juicy and almost oozing out, but definitely moist. My hair is soaking wet when I apply the first layer of product application every time I style my hair in the shower, but when I come back after bathing, getting dressed and perhaps having something to eat, my hair is not dripping wet, it’s holding onto the moisture and that’s all you need.
Your hair is always gorgeous from day 1 to 10. One question- which product combo you used that doesn’t produce fluffy and volume, I don’t like volume on my hair, I love curly and flat 🤷🏽♀️

What kind of brush did you use to smooth out your hair? Can I use my Felicia Leatherwood brush?
Are used the shampoo brush. It is available on Amazon just type in Shampoo brush and look for a little purple round brush that you see me holding. And yes, you can use the Felicia Leatherwood brush. Which ever brush you decide to use be sure to follow with your fingers to rake and smooth so your curls remain clumped, and do not draw up extra tight.

If you don’t apply stylers to soaking wet hair does it prevent hair from being plastered to your head.
I have not applied it on hair that was not soaking wet. If you decide try on damp hair let me know how it worked out for you. Also I encourage you to stay tuned for the launch of the base gel. When the two ENBBA gels are applied together it may be just the outcome you’re looking for 🥰

Hello, what are your thoughts on keratin treatment on protein sensitive hair? Keratin treatments are very popular in Dominican salons, I'm not sure if I should go through with it. Thank you
Anything that has a lasting effect, such as a keratin treatment or a relaxer involves commitment to the cause. Is this something you really want to do with your hair?
I was watching an industry video today that mentioned keratin treatments using chemicals that can be harmful to the body. Which is a reason I believe many people decided to wear their hair natural to avoid exposure to toxic chemicals.
