Starting my underground bunker build!

- I'm building an underground bunker in my back garden as a safe place to ride out natural or man-made disasters as well as a quiet sanctuary away from the constant noise of suburban life. Join me on my journey as I document the process of building this from scratch using only basic hand tools and a limited budget. I'll be pushing the limits of my DIY skills on this project and will no doubt encounter many challenges along the way.
Было очень показательно как просел грунт под полом, вам ещё повезло что плита без армирования тоже не просела и не лопнула в неожиданных местах. А ведь многие наши самостройщики считают стяжку по грунту чуть ли не единственным надёжным вариантом пола и думают что грунт, который засыпали и утрамбовали вручную, никогда не просядет.
I did not make the concrete slab. I would have put steel mesh in it.
You got lucky with the subsidiance under the slab. Made knocking the concret in a lot easier than it could have been. Looking forward to watching your progress.
Indeed! I've since discovered that it was caused by an existing excavation which I will talk about in my next video. I think whoever put down that concrete cut a few corners - no steel and quite thin concrete but yeah in this instance a win!

Good start. Looks like the slab is a few inches above the ground. I'm surprised it hasn't cracked especially since it didn't like there was any reo in it. Look forward to the next one.
My thoughts as well - whoever put down that slab certainly cut a few corners! But it has worked in my favor. Hope to post an update tomorrow :-)

Yeah, not nearly as much as I'd like. Life gets in the way, but it's all good stuff and wouldn't trade it for the world.
I've mostly spent time on the tracks and the minecart that runs on them. That part is coming along.
