This is the "perfect" coaster. I absolutely love it, I dont have any point that could have been better. The track is smooth, its intense, its very fast, you cant see what is coming next and the atmosphere when you are duelling another train is just so unique. Its a masterpiece and my favourite RMC Ride until now.
The stall is great and it does feel perfect when you get a good duel! The vibe on the trains is unreal especially at night. If you like this then you NEED to try Arie Force One & Iron Gwazi it will feel more violent and faster than Twisted Colossus.
So much to like here! The classicness of a wooden coaster with all the cool bits of a metal coaster - and that doesn’t even include that you get 2 laps!!!! I need to find a time to check this one out!
I always say this to people riding this for the first time, because most people seem to think the best spot on any coaster is in the front car, but NOT ON THIS ONE! All of the magic on this coaster happens in the back; it's all about airtime. Sitting in the back of the train, you get pulled HARD over every sudden drop, and it's just so much more intense. It is still fun in the front, but the back is literally at least 5x better. The best possible ride on this coaster would be this: You're sitting in the back row. You don't pull your lapbar down immediately as far as it can go down. You put your feet in a tippy-toe position. If you're lucky, you have a ride op who is cool and that understands what you're doing, and just pushes down a bit on the bar and keeps going (if you're unlucky, there will be a ride op like 'excuse me, put your feet down' and proceed to staple you in). You're going up the first lift hill, laughing hysterically after the initial random whoopdy bits at the beginning. You aren't expecting much more after this. You then see a train to your left side, and are probably thinking 'wtf?' (assuming a first time ride, no knowledge going into it). That train looks like it's going slow af for some reason up the lift hill, while your train is gaining momentum. You PERFECTLY catch up to it, and you both go down the drop at literally the same time, while waving goodbye to each other. Both sides are screaming their asses off, almost touch hands on the high-five element, then blue track breaks off in a sudden dip down (green track already experienced that best part of the ride, so they expected it) but blue track is like "wtf just happened?" as they roll into one of the best camelbacks in the world, while the green track is hanging above them. "What the fuuu!!!" is yelled on both sides. Both sides of the track are laughing hysterically as green track heads back to the station and blue track heads back up the lift hill like "wtf, we're doing this again??"
I love your back row thesis paper my guy! We typically love the forces way better in the back but sometimes a change of scenery is nice too. Another bonus in the back is feeding off the excitement of the whole train as you watch them take in the elements!
Completely agree, and I didn't mean to post this on your front row vid as anything against it, haha. This is just my favorite coaster of all time (amazing in any seat), any time I see a POV of it I feel compelled to post a comment, but this is the one where I was just like "alright, let's see how I would describe my perfect ride" haha. @@CoasterHabitat
I wish they could have kept the original Colossus AND built twisted Colossus. I miss the old fella, but cannot deny that Twisted Colossus is about as close to perfect of a coaster I've ever been on.
The top tier Six Flags Parks have always seemed nice. Six Flags New England is in good condition but needs a new coaster. The smaller parks are spotty. Six Flags Darien Lake was running one train ops on every major coaster while Six Flags America was running two trains on almost everything.
I wish Colossus never gotten the RMC treatment because that wooden coaster is iconic, classic and its never rough. I can't believe Six Flags made a bad decision on this, they could've just added a ground up RMC just like Six Flags Great America.
I wish Colossus was restored to its fabulous classic iconic glory when it first opened. It’s the Colossus I remember and have fond memories of and it was the heart of the park. But I would much rather see it get that hybrid makeover than have it be demolished. People these days think that steel coasters are the best and fastest but Twisted Colossus does the classic justice. It’s a beast that is fast and furious and does what no other woody can. The spirit of Colossus still lives within Twisted Colossus and that is still worth it. But I do miss the classic. It has sentimental value to me.
@@CoasterHabitat Yes, that’s true! So even though our Colossus underwent the RMC roller coaster surgical procedure called Iron Horse it has actually revived Colossus and has made it the greatest roller coaster the world has ever seen… so Colossus still reigns.. with a twist!

There needs to be more dueling RMCs!
Love how you said that and now there’s a dueling raptor going to Walibi Holland!
Not by RMC
@Calithoosie Why Not? Hate RMCs Or Smth?
Hot Digity Dog, I can't believe how close the trains are, and then the one flips upside down over top of you. So cool!
There needs to be more dueling coasters with intense layouts like this one!

This coaster seems legendary!! I need to get out to the west coast so I can go to six flags magic mountain.
It's so worth it, especially if you can get a good duel!

Will never get why GPs love Colossus so much it was a mediocre woodie
Ive never ridden it but based on videos it looks pretty underwhelming, its just ups and downs. And it looks bumpy too.
@@fxsupermaster RMC's are just more intense plus it adds inversions.
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3odHome park nostalgia.
how lucky you got a dueling ride! seems like it doesn't do that as often these days...
Definitely Lucky, got to experience one during a night ride too, love this coaster.
This ride is a true work of art!
exactly 17,000 views lol, this was also my first rollercoaster at six flags lol
No way! A great one to start with! 👍
If dueling this is a top 25 bucket list if not, it might be top 35-30
Dayum. I hope I get to ride it. I loved the original Colossus but it was time for an upgrade.
Only RMC could've made it better!
@@CoasterHabitat I love how it runs you through both circuits.
Unbelievable! the ride lasted about 3 minutes!! Must be a record, most are barely a minute and a half.
The second lift hill helps!
Is there a maintenance issue with six flags cause a lot of rides at the SF parks look in much worse condition then their cedar fair counterparts
The top tier Six Flags Parks have always seemed nice. Six Flags New England is in good condition but needs a new coaster. The smaller parks are spotty. Six Flags Darien Lake was running one train ops on every major coaster while Six Flags America was running two trains on almost everything.
@@CoasterHabitatthere is fiesta texas which I believe to be the best ran six flags park
A first drop so good you get to do it TWICE.
This ride is scary
One of the best!
well they had to ruin the high five section with a net.
While it's kind of a bummer, it's understandable. Other rides have nets in much less intense spots.
@@CoasterHabitat i never looked at older videos. the net has always been there.
I kind of hate how this coaster just crawls up the lift hill
It is a computer system that attempts to time both trains to be neck and neck at the drop.

Many people think it's the best coaster in the park after the RMC treatment.
Awesome video thanks for sharing 🎢👍 And ah🤔 yeah It is the best coaster in the park👏👏👍

One of the best out there!
How boring it must be to ride a roller coaster and not even let out emotions😅
meh. original Colossus was longer and better.
Wish we would have been lucky enough to get on the OG colossus. Only hear good things about that legendary ride.
I would say it had the length, but I'll take the batshit crazy ejector moments this ride has
