- "Steal away to Jesus" is a American negro spiritual composed by Wallace Willis sometime before 1862.
Alexander Reid, a minister at a Choctaw boarding school, heard Willis singing the songs and transcribed the words and melodies.
He sent the music to the Jubilee Singers of Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Jubilee Singers then popularized the songs during a tour of the United States and Europe.

Had a phone prayer meeting with .y dear friend 90 years old. I began to sing word: "Steal Away, steal away" didn't know the song but the Holy Spirit did. She said she hadn't heard that song since she was a child. She is black. We were both so touched by the Lord’s presence when she sang and then when I found this! Thank you singers for lifting our burdens today. Everything is different when we remember "I ain't got long to stay here." God be with each one and the ones who posted and all who ever will hear. God still delivers from burdens. Me in Ireland her in Florida. Jesus be praised!
Impresionante!... Bellisimo!!..

Very good. But have you ever considered doing your style in a lullaby album? You could adapt this one and ad it in.
