I don't think we should expect too much this season. It'll really be a set of games for ten Hag to fine tune his team's playing style. When everyone's fit he has a chance of winning something. it's a bit more complicated, cause there was a huge open gap in the penalty box, that Eriksen chose to run in and cover. On a perfect day a CB had had that space, or another midfielder (just some other player) had run behind Eriksen and dealt with Odegaard.
It's interesting to see that in some games City are playing with both Haaland and Alvarez. I think United with Højlund and Evan Ferguson playing together is a tantalising prospect. Both big, strong and fearless.

I'm genuinely amazed at our club bringing in Evans. We are the biggest club on the planet alongside Madrid and can't even afford a full squad of players seemingly. It's impressive how poor our squad is given the insane resources on paper.
Think calling the first goal a counter attacking goal. Is a tad unfair to how we actually played leading up to the goal. We had possession in our half encouraging Arsenal to press. When they did do it we slipped rashford in 1 on 1 and he did the rest. It was such a well worked goal with the lil one two passing around the Arsenal press allowing us to use our main threat. Passes in the final third of the pitch 168 vs. 47 for Arsenal. Just 12.2% of United’s successful passes ended in the final third of the pitch - that is the second lowest proportion by a Man Utd side in a Premier League match on record (since 2006-07). Possesion means nothing if all you do is pass it around your box.
If we don't get Ferguson knowing he's a United fan, and he goes to Liverpool or City, he will literally win everything. He's that good, he will make the difference.

ETH has improved Utd but after Ragnick the bar was very low. Hanging our hopes on an unproven 20 year old is desperate. They are so far off City it's hardly worth talking in terms of improvement, especially with the players we have.

If that was offsides then VR should not even be in EPL. Some clubs are getting hammered by the refs, and some are getting calls that are never penalties or fouls. Our owners' board and recruiting people are just ass. Some players should never be wearing the jersey of this great club.

But Hojlund looks dangerous already, being that young and lacking match fitness 🤯. Amrabat coming in big positive too. Just that CB pairing that finished is a joke 🤦🏻♂️
Højlund wont do anything if United keeps passing around their own box. Arteta learned a lot from the previous meetings with Ten Hag. He just told his players to let United have the ball in their own third and conserve energy. Because they can't do anything with it if the opposing team is sitting firm in the middle of the pitch and not over-extending. Ten Hag just plays the same over and over again, hoping a bit of magic will get him the three points.
@@realkirillkokorev And I presume you do? Let's hear your expert analysis then. Just 12.2% of United’s successful passes ended in the final third of the pitch - that is the second lowest proportion by a Man Utd side in a Premier League match on record (since 2006-07). But hey, United had more possession. In front of their own goal.

Possesion means nothing if all you do is pass it around your box.
What app is he using??
If we don't get Ferguson knowing he's a United fan, and he goes to Liverpool or City, he will literally win everything. He's that good, he will make the difference.
The curse we currently on... fragile first choice center back. I tought Martinez going to be good for whole season but since his last injury, not so sure.
Crazy how some united fans are calling for Ten Hags head…. Mind blowing actually
The future looked like Rashford not passing to him when he should've Dave. Our wingers only shoot first, he's going to suffer like Martial has.
The moment I saw Licha down and Maguire coming on I knew United gonna loose, then came Evans I thought its gonna be a disaster! Maguire and Evans can't keep up with the league's pace
Still can't understand why they let Mengi leave with Varane injury 😅... surely a better backup than maguire or evans....
ETH has improved Utd but after Ragnick the bar was very low. Hanging our hopes on an unproven 20 year old is desperate. They are so far off City it's hardly worth talking in terms of improvement, especially with the players we have.
It's 1 year into a project and you're after challenging City already. Talk about impatient. When Erik took over he said its a 3-4 year project to get to the top.
@@THM2008 what has that got to do with my comment? Was the bar not low after Ragnick? is it not desperate to hang hopes on an unproven 20 year old? Are they not far off city? what part of my statement do you disagree with?
Thanks SMD...question though, does a keeper getting loads of touches really equal to possession in back AND is there any relation to dominance of match itself and scoring chances? I don't care if my keeper touches it once if we are up by 3 goals at halftime. And Rashford playing with his head down is inexcusable.
Am shocked at that analysis my self
Just the way you understand things is too high level
I agree
A serious club that wants to complete still has Evans, Maguire, Martial, VDB, Sancho... What a shame!... We need good, tecnical CBs... Even we have to start moving on from Varane.
It was a game of fine margins. United had won it if not for a couple of inches on VAR.
HOJLUND will score more goals and create more scoring opportunities for Manchester united.. very physical and had more rooms to improve am expecting 20 goals +from him
If that was offsides then VR should not even be in EPL. Some clubs are getting hammered by the refs, and some are getting calls that are never penalties or fouls. Our owners' board and recruiting people are just ass. Some players should never be wearing the jersey of this great club.
At the end of the second half United with Maguire and Evans dropped too deep and gave up possession too easily.
If both Martial and Hojlund injured or suspended...we will be so handicapped...with no reliable replacements...😢😢😢😢
Is it that hard to develop some young academy players instead of playing Maguire and Evans, we need something urgently to address the defence.
The boy is a star
Unpopular comment :
Mount replace Bruno (easy distract, emotional)
Garnacho replace Rashford (selfish)
Time to Ten Hag Play Ajax Style
Its like bittersweet, played well could of won it, even with all the injuries. Dont know how Evans got a contact, surely there is a young player give a chance too. But Hojlund looks dangerous already, being that young and lacking match fitness 🤯. Amrabat coming in big positive too. Just that CB pairing that finished is a joke 🤦🏻♂️
We dont have anyone who can receive the ball on the turn, I hope Mainoo will do that when he returns.
Lol,and you think he'll even get a game with Tin Pot Hag signing Amrabat?
As deluded as ever ....
@@barryh.4220 You too
Statman dave did you use to play football at Harper Hill? I deffo played with you when I was younger 😂😂
Yeah yeah same same i was the assistant coach
0:06 "Højlund made his debut against Arsehole"
lmao dave gone mad
@@qasmb1546 Hahaha
Standards are low are Man U , so i understand them being gassed over him but you lot need much better he should be 2nd option striker
Man U barely escape their half for most of the first half
Statman Dave: Utd dominated at the back
Surely even Mctominay as CB is a better option than evans.
i'd rather play collyer or kambwala at CB than evans or maguire.
It's no use having Rasmus play well when we play Maguire & Evans
Well beaten ? Not sure about that Garnacho goal should have stood.
You don't know a thing about football tactics and playstyle development if you think that. I hope you are just a rival troll.
@@realkirillkokorev And I presume you do? Let's hear your expert analysis then.
Here are some actual stats:
Arsenal 42 touches in the opposition box were more than double that of United’s 19, while they completed over three times as many passes in the final third of the pitch (168 vs. 47).
Just 12.2% of United’s successful passes ended in the final third of the pitch - that is the second lowest proportion by a Man Utd side in a Premier League match on record (since 2006-07).
But hey, United had more possession. In front of their own goal.
@@Qlicky Have you seen the game? We have absolutely horrendous form and disjointed midfield. ETH all summer was transforming to a new system with 2 dynamic mids (Mount and Mainoo or Mount and Bruno at the time) and had to ditch it dew to injuries. So what we have now is a disjointed midfield getting accustomed to a new system, hence why we lost the ball all the time in the second third - no one is familiar with their movement and positions in a new system yet. And we completely nullified Arsenal attack whole game, they didn't know what to do with our compactness in and infront of our box.
We are clearly work in progress but we did a lot better then last game shape wise and will get more and more familiar thruout the season. No need for doom and gloom panic.
@@realkirillkokorev Of course I've seen the game, I wouldnt be commenting otherwise.
Let's not pretend United plays anything but counter attacking football and are sitting back against anyone decent, regardless of the player availabilty. They've got 1 point in last 14 away games vs top 6 teams ffs.
Hojlund need to be fed balls, but just fear he is not getting enough service from Rashford and Anthony.....
The bar for united is incredibly low
My concern still persists; Rashford and Antony are selfish.
I thought I was dreaming when I saw Maguire and Evens playing together
More like a nightmare
The gold chain
Bring back DeGea.
I'd rather a goalkeeper who can save balls instead of pass them out from the back.
Unfortunately our wingers are selfish. Won't be able to find him.
Really need to get rid of Sancho
Is Eric Bailey contract already tone up?
Could be better than Evans
Not sure about the new hair statman, you look like youre going to rob me
If only rashford and the others will pass him the ball.. he will succeed..
Man United ending the game with the center back pairing of Leicester from 2019. Embarrassing
Be sure to thank Alex Ferguson for the current state of the club
