The issue with the diamond the other day was the lack of flexibility it had with the personnel we had. I think one productive option for Mount for instance would actually be to utilise him as the 10 or the right sided 8 in the diamond which then can be flexible enough for him to adapt to the RW when we need to deal with tactical adjustments such as Brighton's on Saturday. You can play Bruno a little deeper with Amrabat and Case and flip between a 433/4231 to a diamond mid game. I'm here for it
It’s the manager not the squad. It’s doesn’t matter what personal you give DiZerbi he will make it happen as long as the players are capable footballers. Yes, he needs a better squad to challenge for the tittle but he should be competing with the likes of Brighton if he is a great manager. Unless we are saying he is a good manager and not great.
I liked the diamond formation. I think the problem is the same that it's always been - the players (not always the same ones, which is what makes it difficult to root out the problem) get lazy, stop pressing, lose focus, amble about the pitch or maybe do a slow jog etc
The diamond only allows pressing the the central areas. We were solid there but the problem is it gave them the ball out wide. A simple pass out wide in acres of space allowed them to just run to the by line to cut it back to miles of open space. Defensive transitions in final third were terrible by United
The midfiel had erikson( not enough intensity), Mctominay (not good enough),Casemiro (looks burned out), Rashford (low football IQ was the problem this game. I don’t mind ETH subbing hojlund we are playing Bayern tomorrow just couldn’t risk injury.
Absolutely not. I don't agree with this analysis. You need to be able to switch from a 433 to 442 diamond. But anyways who is watching Mitoma when he says Scott wasn't tight marking? He was in acres of space
Dave i didnt hear you speak on Rashfords lazy defending. Even Eriksen who we know had a heart problem puts in more shifts defensively than Rashford. We can't afford to carry passengers in games like this. Defense starts from the front
the reason noone plays a diamond anymore is becuse the opponents fullbacks are basically free all game. it wouldve be great 20 years ago but now fullbacks are far more involved, which is why lamptey got 2 assists.
Exactly.. if Lamptey (who has played almost no football in the past couple of seasons) and Veltman are able to cause you so many issues you should probably reconsider this nonsense. And to say it's because we don't have a RW. Pellestri? Even Garnacho? Heck I'd even rather see Bruno back out there on the right ahead of this diamond crap.
As we are so bad in defence currently maybe 3-4-1-2 would be a better option: Onana Lindelof Varane Martinez Dalot Casemiro Amrabat Reguilon Bruno Hojlund. Rashford
Problem with that is that we almost NEVER have Lindelof, Varane and Martinez fit at the same time. We are stuck with a 2 CB system until we get 2 more reliable CBs... You need at least 5 to play 3 at the back and survive injuries/suspensions.
As much as i hate to said this but we need to hv Rashford still because Hojlund sure cn score but he can't dribble like Rashford is n im sure he is aware about the hate by now
Formation was good but Casemiro at the base of the diamond with Eriksen was a disaster. His legs are gone. I want this formation with Amrabat at the base, Casemiro/Mejbri left, Bruno Right CM and Eriksen/Mount as the 10. When Mainoo is healthy I’d play him with Casemiro in front of Amrabat. We desperately need a ball carrying CM and right now Mejbri is the only one who looks to have that skill set. Mason Mount was supposed to bring that. Rashford needs to watch Leao to see how to play the LW. Last year I thought Rashford was better, but this year Rashford has regressed whole Leao continues to improve. McTominay had to cover both Right Wing and Right CM because Casemiro was shading to cover Eriksen.
I hope the histeria around ETH will finish soon as people should understand we cannot change manager every 2 year. Really feel sorry to him and can understand our fans as we tired, but he deserved time. About tactics as always Dave spot on.
@@iamwhatiam5091Agreed. We seem to be in this poor transition period where a third of the squad fit ETH’s system, another third don’t, and the other third can’t grasp it or don’t want to. I think that’s why we heard his comments in preseason about the team playing selfishly and like individuals.
Managing Manchester United at this moment is like trying to change the wheels on your car while going 90mph down the motorway. A squad filled with players from the previous 3 managers with no consistent way of playing along with an injury crisis and potential sale of the club. ETH needs time and backing, don't listen to the tabloid rags who just want to sell drama.
Inevitably the formation will flip to a 4-2-2-2 with the box midfield over a diamond, and Rashford up top with Hojlund in a left orientated asymmetric attack. Amrabat sitting in with Casemiro and Mount in the 8/10 space with Bruno. Severe lack of legs at the base with Casemiro paired with Eriksen, which meant they couldn't cover out to the wings effectively. Amrabat will be much more energetic in that role and hopefully that means Casemiro doesn't fatigue quite so badly as a lone ranger in there. Biggest issue with this formation is AWB will be left out on the right largely alone, and although he's improved, he still seriously lacks quality with the ball. Dalot isn't a huge upgrade in that regard. He looks better, but the output isn't very good.
Scott mctominay was the major culprit in this game, I can't blame rashford for not pressing so much Out of possession as he is our major outlet and honestly our major goalscorer, but mctominay in Midfield MUST WORK HARDER ESPECIALLY AS HE IS PLAYING WITH TWO OLD MEN! He was very disappointing with his pressing and I was so disappointed with his positioning OOP going back to watch the game. He was almost invincible in the game. He should not for any reason be playing ahead of Mejbri.
@@hs2944 that aspect of the game would have eventually been sorted if we had been able to defend well OOP and kept the scoreline at nil! Our main issue was in defence, all their goals came from gaps in the half space where mctom in particular was very lackadaisical!!! He was not closing down gaps aggressively, and as a result of that was affecting the shape of the team when pressing and opening gaps for Brighton to pass through! It was the same in our box too!!! He was very poor and should never start ahead of mejbri again!!!
Scotty too often plays like this; getting into “comfortable” areas of space where, in possession, he isn’t a viable option and, out of position, he doesn’t pressure players or limit their options. This is typical in lazy players but he rarely looks lazy, so I have to genuinely question his football IQ.🤦♂️
For this position we need legs whon can run whole game . Amrabat & mount is the solution.. yes casemiro was not up to mark but its not his fault tt he was left alone to cover .. this formation real madrid are using they are winning games .. just because they have top runners who can run & play 90mins straight

I was saying we should play the diamond with the lack of a senior RW before the game and still maintain it was the right move to make even though we lost. Although I would have had Eriksen at the top of the diamond, with Bruno on the right and McTominay on the left. That was one of the mistakes made by Ten Hag. I don't understand why Eriksen was played there. However outside of that, I think the main issues are Uniteds decision making in the final third, their weak mentality that allows them to drop their heads very quickly and a lack of defensive effort at key points. The formation and selection can only do so much whilst we have these issues with the squad.
He should be allowed the time to implement his system and the players to get used to it. There’s glimpses of good football and that shouldn’t be abandoned for the sake of short term points with counterattack football
The way Mctominay just jogged around the pitch was disgusting. As a player who we all know doesn't have much ability on the ball, to not be on your toes in each phase of play you're involved in is disgusting. We can put at least 2 of the goals down to poor tracking from him. He just has to go.
The lack of effort from the team did not help this system at all. It was a good set up but Bruno wasn’t helping mctominay enough to cover as he needed to run every 30 yards of possession which caused his energy to run out.
I realise this is just for content but i really hope we dont down this path. City, liverpool, arsenal, brighton, tottenham all use width with wingers and look at the table
We have a Rw in Pellistri or is he injured? He can atleast put the LB under pressure and is good at pressing and ball carrying, and offers an interesting offensive outlet.
united's midfielder + rashford doesnt have enough energy in defense. casemiro and erikesen's too old, thats relatively understandable. i dont get the deal with rashford and mctominay, but they dont seem active in pressing or tracking back. The first goal for example, sure casemiro should have marked welbeck better, but Mctominay saw it, and he should have went for him faster and stronger.
The Diamond is okay but the problems persist Pick that extra simple pass to a team mate few yards away over Holywood pass, and for the love of the game our defense squeezes up to allow our attacks, but our attackers don't retreat well into our half to help defend We were just lazying around the pitch like it's the last game of the season with nothing to play for
OK Dave, some great tactical analysis, and let's say you're right about all this, you really need to be convincing Ten Hag, right..? Do you ever get any signs or messages that any Premier League managers are actually listening to you and acting accordingly? I'd love to know...
I said this on another channel Dave. When brighton make an adjustment and United have that oh shit moment, just drop and sit deeper. Be safe, allow yourself to adjust. They seem dead scared to make their own on field adjustments and want to go ask mommy how to deal with it
Right now we can change formations, tactics or even manager but we will still suck. The players are the issue; they lack quality and the will to win. If you want to fix Utd then u need new owners, new scouting/recruiting department and a whole new squad
We don't have the players to do it... Brighton played us out of the park they attack when ever they want and just so easily pull back the ball to their half when they feel like it
Diamond formations only works well if we can keep possession. Atm we dun do that. The past games, all we been doing is get the ball to Rashy and then he just greedily shoots from stupid angles. What we really need is for Pellesitri/Amad be given a chance on the right and ETH srsly needs to tell Rashy to stop tunnel vision for goals all the time and link better with Hojlund. Hojlund had zero shots on target against Brighton, where were the service lol?
I don't like this system because it was relatively too easy for Welbeck & Lallana to drop back and receive the ball in the middle of the park and dictate the play. Pressing game is what ETH is known for but we lacked that so much against Brighton. I would go for a proper 3 at the front with fullbacks also pressing high. There were no one covering the GK , there were no bodies on the line, it's like open shooting at the GK. How awful our set piece can be, can't we get one proper corner ?
we could isolate their right back 4v1 but as long as Rashford is one of those 4 then it's still a 1v1 and he will ruin the move by ignoring any overor underlaps . Rashford doesn't and never will fit . He's always been too greedy and no matter how much coaching he gets, that will never change. As far as the midfield goes, Casemiro doesn't have the legs and neither does Erikson, especialy to play together agaist teams like Brighton. Casemiro's constant forward runs left so much space behind him when the team(Rashford mostly) lost the ball leaving the cbs to do it on their own, and he just doesn't have the legs to track back. Casemiro really needs to hold hisposition infront of the defence and let others with the legs, go and attack Overall the diamond can work, that first 17/18 mins we looked really good, but we just don't have the players for it, with the energy, stamina or passion to work hard.
@@SGanesh16 the number of games we'd have to play, I'm afraid Varane would sustain another injury before the year runs out, he's just Martial in defence. Should've gotten KMJ, sold Varane to Saudi for that 50m and replaced him with Pavard but it's MUFC, we're allergic to smart deals.
Pellistri and Garnacho could both play on the right wing and arguably be hungrier, be less predictable and as right footed players make the pitch bigger. I'm sick of this inverted wingers nonsense. Fine if we had wing backs who go beyond the winger when we are in the attacking third but we don't. Ten Hag needs to use the younger hungry players and learn from previous managers who used players who's poor effort out of possession and decision making at times is questionable. Pellistri for me has been a breathe of fresh air whenever he has had a chance.😅
Are you serious? The point of this adjustment was to stifle Brighton’s central build up and prevent their pivot players from receiving the third man pass and easily bypass our weak midfield, and even that only worked in the first 20 minutes before De Zerbi adjusted and proceeded to school ETH. Unless Mount and Amrabat return for Bayern, he should not run this at all, they’ll easily exploit the wide spaces with Eriksen’s subpar press and shadowing, and find Davies or someone else out wide free due to the gaping hole in our press. One simple adjustment ruined our plan against a ROTATED Brighton team, what makes you think Bayern with probably the best 9 on the planet, great wide players in Sane, Gnabry and Davies and Kimmich/Muller through the middle won’t find a way to cut through our press and finish chances off?
So what about.... Rashford Superrr Duperr Greedy Selfished Merchant ?? Btw...I really like many channel presented post analysis video, and now is just more interesting because narrated from different perspective in many aspect It just like easy to find every solution for every situation in field... But the reality is hard to implement the theory, to replicate the pattern how to win, how to defend constantly when under pressure. The structure in general.. The cohesion. The mentality after leading game, shifting to defensive style of play. The injury time mental problem when leading. The dominance to control the game. Its just something wrong and complicated Even the manager bring 10 new signing more Still ...struggling to compete big 5 Let alone city.... we can't compete with them at the moment. Far far below.
Ronaldo had asked Rangnick to play this formation with two strikers at front. Rashford needs more tactical awareness and work along Rasmus. He is no Ronaldo and cannot operate by being selfish and playing as lone wolf.
Our players are too slow in making decisions, so much poor quality, Hojlund was making too many intelligent runs and creating spaces to exploit but our players were too sluggish
Great analysis but it’s all hypothetical with these players. I just don’t think they are good enough to implement these tactics. Everytime ETH has tried to force his style or system, the players have failed him and he has always gone back to square one - counterattacking 4-2-3-1. IMO a more disciplined 4-3-3 would suit our players but I agree that Bruno is more effective in a deeper CM role especially in a midfield 3.
The season looked so hopefull… now 2 wingers ManU paid close to 200 million for are probably never gonna play for the team again. How does ManU attract so much drama… Ronaldo, Sancho, Anthony, greenwood etc…😢
To do 442 diomond succesfully for long times you need technical players which man u clearly lacks. only one team i see impolementedit correctly is imanol real socidad diamond gives you so many advantages in attack but the team needs to be on absolute peak in defensive actions and will need technical players to excute in tougher situations
they were fine on the attacking side. Created enough chances to win the game. Issue is in transition. Casemiro looks like hes trying to run off his summer mcdonalds binge, eriksen cant run and i forgot scott was on the pitch watching that game. Get 2 of mount amrabat or mainoo in and get casemiro in playing shape again and it works.
We have got one winger, Pellistri, spent over 10mill for him, gave him a new contract and he isn’t good enough? People need to be sacked over that… what a waste of money. This formation is horrible… with no wingers, the attack is so predictable and easy to block, even I can manage that with no tactical insight. This is a disaster. Every game will end like this…. Press a bit, pass to rashford, head down hope for the best, rinse and repeat…. Just surround rashford with players and he will run into walls because afte 10x shots HE WONT think to pass or do somethign different… at least with 2 wingers you can split the attack and create different space and won’t be so predictable
So why is our manager is not applying this? The very best coaches have their team prepared fully so these numerous ‘tweaks’ are not required. In game management? I’m not seeing any evidence ETH is doing this effectively🤔 I’m not manager out, but I’m not convinced either😬
It doesn't work the midfielders don't have the discipline to hold shape or the legs to cover the ground, rashford can't play up front back to goal he's a passenger.
Is the 4-4-2 diamond the best solution for the current Man Utd squad? 🤔

But honestly Erik still has some players not tactically alive. Then Rashford and I suppose Scott/Eriksen not ideal.
I prefer the 4-2-2-2 we had under ragnick with the intense pressing and quick transitions
Same!
That game against crystal palace😩. I had a DREAM man ….😢
That would be great. Front 4 of Mount Rashford Hojllund and Bruno. Casemiro and Amrabat behind them.
It needs very fit players to work as a counter pressing unit.
As we are so bad in defence currently maybe 3-4-1-2 would be a better option:
Onana
Lindelof Varane Martinez
Dalot Casemiro Amrabat Reguilon
Bruno
Hojlund. Rashford
Problem with that is that we almost NEVER have Lindelof, Varane and Martinez fit at the same time. We are stuck with a 2 CB system until we get 2 more reliable CBs... You need at least 5 to play 3 at the back and survive injuries/suspensions.
Big worry in regards to the diamond. Will Rashford look for Hojlund to pass to or will he continue to try and be the hero and only one scoring.
I'd cut Rashford some slack here... Let's face it, it has been a very long time since he's had someone capable to pass to in the middle.
As much as i hate to said this but we need to hv Rashford still because Hojlund sure cn score but he can't dribble like Rashford is n im sure he is aware about the hate by now
Give it time. They've only played together once smh
I hope ETH shows this vid to his players
Scenes where we win Bayern at their home to kick-off our unbeaten run, if not we're fucked.
I hope the histeria around ETH will finish soon as people should understand we cannot change manager every 2 year. Really feel sorry to him and can understand our fans as we tired, but he deserved time. About tactics as always Dave spot on.
Dezerbi, Ange Postecoglu, Bournemouth coach and potch been there a shorter time but have a defined style in their teams
We played his style only in the previous pre-season's few matches. Our team has very few possession controllers in order to play like Ajax.
@@iamwhatiam5091Agreed. We seem to be in this poor transition period where a third of the squad fit ETH’s system, another third don’t, and the other third can’t grasp it or don’t want to. I think that’s why we heard his comments in preseason about the team playing selfishly and like individuals.
Poch?😂😂😂 that's helping them
We are lacking full backs for this to work. Too many injuries.
We need Amrabat ASAP n Rashford VISION
@crustyflakes3861 he's not even in his prime yet. Truly generational players like Mbappe and Haaland have melted everyones brains i think
Rushford should be looking up more! There is a striker now
@@hs2944 that aspect of the game would have eventually been sorted if we had been able to defend well OOP and kept the scoreline at nil!
I miss ma boy Fred yes man was a beast too bad he was de problem in midfield they say playing him have fans living in coo coo land 😂
@@superdaddyoolokey we needed fred badly in this game. Gives so much intensity unlike mctoilet
Was looking really forward to these reviews of the united games, please keep them coming. :-)
I TOLD YOU BRO 4-4-2 COUNTER ATTACK WILL SEE THE DIFFERENCE
For this position we need legs whon can run whole game . Amrabat & mount is the solution.. yes casemiro was not up to mark but its not his fault tt he was left alone to cover .. this formation real madrid are using they are winning games .. just because they have top runners who can run & play 90mins straight
Totally agree mate. We looked good in patches
I still can't understand why pellistri doesn't play more. Besides that, the diamond was practically forced on ETH because we have no wingers now
Great analysis Dave
I tend to agree with your assessment but if the opponent are able to penetrate our defence and score as easily as in the Brighton game, then we must realise we lack the players and GK to do it. Man U had the possession and had the vast numbers of attempts but the few times/attempts Brighton got through they scored and then we easily can get 5 goals against us when meeting the wrong teams.
The non counting goal from Rasmus were very promising since he had lots of defence players in front and around him. We can build upon that. Rashford are a great player but have low pitch IQ or are just selfish beyond what are TEAM worthy. He must understand this. Casemiro needs praise for not getting a card 3 games in a row so seem he now have better emotional control, was needed.
Eriksen seem back in form and as such are a great force for us. The few fast situational changes towards Brighton goal were initiated from him. If any can find Rasmus in a fast change from defence to contra it will be Eriksen. Rasmus have acceleration and speed to run half a field to goal. We have seen him do it for Atalanta, just a matter of time before he get the chance for us.
Bruno are a rock and were a key behind our achievements last season but last games he have not been on his otherwise high level. Some of the times we had momentum he choose to play back to midfield for control while he could have found Rasmus on opposite side, but this should be noted and be better the more they play together. Bruno are clever and adaptable. He just need to be more aware of the new option.
I dont know what to say about Martial. Match before Brighton were a disaster and he lost the ball again and again. He were not a great sub in the Brighton game.
So what to do with defence? If we try the diamond again and they defend like we saw, it will be crash and burn. Onana first 3 halves for Man U were a positive surprise for me and nearly won me over but since then it have not been impressive. Time after time he have kicked out from goal and handed it right over to the opponent. That cannot be allowed and must be addressed and fixed.
Feels like we are balancing on a knife´s egg and last game fell to the wrong side.
The contracts seem to lack intelligence and flexibility and thus does not allow ETH flexibility to redefine players roles. Like with Rashford. One can wonder if he are penalised for giving assists?
We need to find positivity and excitement for the future and the crowd needs to be the 12th and even 13th man on the field. WE need that as well. I take the booing when Rasmus were called of as positive really. Others saw what I saw. Great effort and made an impact that were needed.
I will stop my rant now
That was a very good analysis well done..
Nice work Dave! I too thought the diamond had the bones of a good idea
Also, where did you buy the Man United are you display behind you?
I prefer the 4222 with mount & Bruno on the left & right half spaces ; amrabat & Casemiro in the pivot & højlund & rashford up top
Won't work with players like Rashford. United will never win anything if he's at the helms
Until they get Amrabat and Mount back I think they need to tweak it to a 4312 to control the center.
I like the positivity @Dave
One of my favourite UA-camrs
❤
The movement within formations is more important, than the formation itself .
He should be allowed the time to implement his system and the players to get used to it. There’s glimpses of good football and that shouldn’t be abandoned for the sake of short term points with counterattack football
Whilst I think this is a good formation, I also think our squad has not good enough to understand the change in methods.
The way Mctominay just jogged around the pitch was disgusting. As a player who we all know doesn't have much ability on the ball, to not be on your toes in each phase of play you're involved in is disgusting. We can put at least 2 of the goals down to poor tracking from him. He just has to go.
Thanks for explaining for the ppl who think the tacktic was wrong its just the players didnt work harder.
We don't have a squad strategy for eventualities. Brighton in match tweaks,. We don't have in match adjustments
Any system right now should not include Rashford. Put Pelistri and Hojland would thrive.
What a ridiculous, reactionary take. Can't believe some of the commentary I've seen on this
Here we go stat man dave
Some players needs to give more of a fight, play as a unit and take our chances
The lack of effort from the team did not help this system at all. It was a good set up but Bruno wasn’t helping mctominay enough to cover as he needed to run every 30 yards of possession which caused his energy to run out.
I realise this is just for content but i really hope we dont down this path. City, liverpool, arsenal, brighton, tottenham all use width with wingers and look at the table
We have a Rw in Pellistri or is he injured? He can atleast put the LB under pressure and is good at pressing and ball carrying, and offers an interesting offensive outlet.
Nice content
united's midfielder + rashford doesnt have enough energy in defense.
casemiro and erikesen's too old, thats relatively understandable.
i dont get the deal with rashford and mctominay, but they dont seem active in pressing or tracking back.
The first goal for example, sure casemiro should have marked welbeck better, but Mctominay saw it, and he should have went for him faster and stronger.
Agreed. Id just have Amrabat instead of Mctom. Erikson can be changed with Mount or Pellestri( if swooped position with Amrabat )
The Diamond is okay but the problems persist
Pick that extra simple pass to a team mate few yards away over Holywood pass, and for the love of the game our defense squeezes up to allow our attacks, but our attackers don't retreat well into our half to help defend
We were just lazying around the pitch like it's the last game of the season with nothing to play for
OK Dave, some great tactical analysis, and let's say you're right about all this, you really need to be convincing Ten Hag, right..? Do you ever get any signs or messages that any Premier League managers are actually listening to you and acting accordingly? I'd love to know...
Bruh this is content for ad revenue
@@IkeSpeaksUp 👍🏽yeh', you got that right, but that was part of my point really... who is listening that matters, that can make a difference..?
I said this on another channel Dave. When brighton make an adjustment and United have that oh shit moment, just drop and sit deeper. Be safe, allow yourself to adjust. They seem dead scared to make their own on field adjustments and want to go ask mommy how to deal with it
Right now we can change formations, tactics or even manager but we will still suck. The players are the issue; they lack quality and the will to win.
If you want to fix Utd then u need new owners, new scouting/recruiting department and a whole new squad
It's evident Dave have had enough when he said at least Majbri runs around and scores bangers
The problem with united is injury and bad luck
Formation isn't going matter until Rashford learns how to set up his #9.
we could isolate their right back 4v1 but as long as Rashford is one of those 4 then it's still a 1v1 and he will ruin the move by ignoring any overor underlaps .
Casemiro really needs to hold hisposition infront of the defence and let others with the legs, go and attack
Overall the diamond can work, that first 17/18 mins we looked really good, but we just don't have the players for it, with the energy, stamina or passion to work hard.
When the first goal went in the heads immediately dropped. Specially rashford was non existent after the 1st goal wasn't pressing hard enough
how do you play against Laptey with no winger he ran us ragged
352 better option , 442D always has width issues
We don't have that much CBs.
@@barixukaVarane is back, mctominay casemiro can play there when needed
@@SGanesh16do not want to see Scott playing
I wouldn’t mind playing that formation but lack of depth in cb is a huge concern
Do you think we could implement the Christmas tree formation with 2 no.10s?
No mate it doesnt make sense at all. I'd rather we play a 4231. We need to base our team around a pivot of Casemiro and Amrabat asap!!
What good is it have a out and out wingback and a #9 when Rashy simply doesnt choose to pass?
Why do you think Pellistri isnt able to get a look into the starting 11? Is he not a viable right wing in TenHag's eyes?
Can you all do last Inter-Milan derby?
Statman Dave am really sad about United right now .
Amrabat replacing Casemiro or McT and then Garnacho replacing selfish Rashy next game would be perfect.
So what about.... Rashford Superrr Duperr Greedy Selfished Merchant ??
Btw...I really like many channel presented post analysis video, and now is just more interesting because narrated from different perspective in many aspect
It just like easy to find every solution for every situation in field...
But the reality is hard to
implement the theory, to replicate the pattern how to win, how to defend constantly when under pressure.
The structure in general..
The cohesion.
The mentality after leading game, shifting to defensive style of play.
The injury time mental problem when leading.
The dominance to control the game.
Its just something wrong and complicated
Even the manager bring 10 new signing more
Still ...struggling to compete big 5
Let alone city....
we can't compete with them at the moment.
Far far below.
Not a good system. It lacks width and when you play against any team who uses wide formation, you'll struggle. It was obvious against Brighton
I wish that 20 minutes in the first was the entire game. I’m not ETH out. I just want to see more substance
Real Madrid and Manchester United... 4-4-2 Diamond same strategy I think... my 2 favourite clubs playing same strategy 🤩💎
They got bent over a table on Saturday. They need to do 11 at the back to make it out of Germany with a respectable loss to Bayern.
I think we were just responding to brighton type of play with that 442. We wont see it again. We going back to 4231
The season looked so hopefull… now 2 wingers ManU paid close to 200 million for are probably never gonna play for the team again. How does ManU attract so much drama… Ronaldo, Sancho, Anthony, greenwood etc…😢
352 don’t mind the Diamond but need better midfielders bruno casimero are just not good enough this season
We need a WORLD CLASS DOF first.
We're losing because our midfield doesn't have legs. I think amrabat will sort that
Statman for asst manager
Rashford really needs to know the difference between Striker and a Winger😞
Rashford being isolated against CBs is fine but he won’t pass the ball to exploit the space this creates for Hojlund and others 😂
Man Untied have a director of football? I wish
I’m not seeing any evidence ETH is doing this effectively🤔
I’m not manager out, but I’m not convinced either😬
It doesn't work the midfielders don't have the discipline to hold shape or the legs to cover the ground, rashford can't play up front back to goal he's a passenger.
