This sounds about right for in town driving. I noticed it gets lower end of EPA in town. However, on highway, it gets around 35-40mpg for AWD gas LE.
Also depends on terrain. Is it flat or hilly.
I have 24 RAV4 and get 31-32 mpg with mine Rob. You must have a lead foot.
It’s probably not broken in or has something wrong with it. It’s just a front drive model. It should get the same mpg as a Camry around town.
@@user-tb7rn1il3q. A Rav4 will get 4 to 5 miles less to the gallon in the city than a Camry will . A Camry is much more aerodynamic.
@@charlesjackson1700 The Camry doesn’t have much better aero and in the city with low speeds aero doesn’t matter much. Even on the highway there isn’t much difference. The mpg difference is mainly from the larger more aggressive tires on the RAV. Overall I’m not sure why the Camry even exists. I rented one and it’s a horrible car. It sits so low that I had trouble getting in and out. I had trouble driving it since I couldn’t see very far. It doesn’t handle as well as the RAV either. I got worse mpg since I couldn’t see ahead and anticipate stopping. With the RAV or any taller vehicle you can time traffic lights so you don’t have to brake much. The gas sedan Camry is now history. The hybrid Camry still exists for a little longer. I’m guessing it will become an electric Crossover when the new RAV4 gets larger.
@@user-tb7rn1il3q No, you are not correct. You only speculate. I experience real word driving in both. Camry is midsize world class leading sedan found in many countries..very high demand. As well as sales. Battery/fake electric vehicles have become stagnant and unwanted. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YOU DRIVE SO I CAN LAUGH 😂.. I CAN GUESS IT IS A REAL STINKER AND TRAILS BELOW POPULAR MAINSTREAM VEHICLES. I'M THINKING HYUNDAI/KIA.. 👎
I had a 2020 RAV4 hybrid loved it but I missed having a truck so I traded it for a 23 Tacoma off-road and the RAV4 is a compact SUV. The midsize SUV is the Highlander
The Camry, Avalon, Sienna, RAV4, Crown, Highlander, Grand Highlander, NX, and RX are all the exact same car. They are based on the TNGA K passenger car platform. The midsize SUV is the 4Runner. SUVs have a separate frame. The RAV4 is not an SUV. The full size SUV is the Sequoia. The compact SUV is the Fortuner, not sold in the US.

I’m getting 37 mpg with mixed driving in my 19 RAV4 LE AWD with all weather tires, start stop permanent disable hack, and slightly thicker 0W20 oil. The 2.5 likes to dilute the oil with gas. The 0W16 oil is too thin especially after it shears down.
How did you disable the start stop?
@@billbaker3384 I pulled the hood latch switch connector off and disabled notifications. It’s a terrible feature and doesn’t save any gas.

@@nicksteinberg6621 Good we have a CVT on my wife’s Corolla and it okay but I like real transmissions better. The CVT reminds me of my old Cushman motor scooter days bat in the 1960’s they had a centrifugal clutch and you could leave your Cushman Eagle in 2 gear and take off. It was slower then first gear but it worked.
Isn't the RAV4 more of a rough ride, noisy and you can hear a lot of road noise while driving. It is not smooth and quiet as a Venza.
Not in my experience.
Did you test drive the Venza? It is smoother than the rav4.
