That‘s not the true value. Often magic and missile damage is not tracked. If the game is random as always the hole damage from sarthoreal and the horseman could be missing while the TK is tracked normally. Also the crumbling is missing which would be hundreds of points over the time. I miss the old interface which showed the current value on the battlefield. It was way more useful.
I feel Ike tk necroplis knights need to be more threatening. It seems like outside of characters they don’t have a hard punching scary unit to crush units.
The biggest problem with them is that they only have 20% more mass than regular cavalry. They have a lunging attack animation that gets them too deep into enemy blobs and the lack of mass makes them unable to extricate themselves. So whenever you try to cycle charge with them they tend to get stuck. It's kind of strange given they are giant stone constructs that probably weigh at least 5000 kg and don't feel pain.
You've got bow Ushabti to kill units at range (look at Forsaken at 5:04), and melee Ushabti with Cursed Blades stacked on spears can contest with high tier infantry. Necropolis Knights are kind of middling and don't do much that Ushabti can't do, even though on paper they've got decent stats. Maybe they do decently with Cursed Blades, but their problem is there's better things to spend your money on. And the halberd variant suffers from the older practice of making sidegrade units both pricy and weaker in other departments, resulting in a unit that's both more expensive, lacks shields and has worse general stats in exchange for a little bit of bvl which just feels kind of awful. Maybe they can be decent into elite cav if you're putting the incantation of protection on them, but without it they're pretty disappointing. At least you have Necrosphinxes for dealing with low model count units. Note to self: test necrosphinx vs bull centaurs
@@SpiceCh Kinda wondering if Halberd variant would trade up into the Tzeentch Horse Hero. Probably not.. but if they win that and then can put some hurt on Armored Trolls, might be value city right there.
Outstanding match! Thanks to the players for allowing us to view their dedication to their craft. As always, a giant thanks to Turin for posting this "Epic" clash....
What a great game. One thing I think you overlooked in the value breakdown was that the Bow-shapti got good value but a lot of it was against Big Bird, and he took it like a champ so that value didn't really reflect the impact they had.
I don't like the Tomb Kings as a faction, but that War Sphinx is just the coolest thing ever, I have to cheer for Settra. This was one of the craziest battles seen in a while! "Maybe this character will be elevated to demonhood, or his soul will be tortured for all eternity."
I think both players had lapses with their lords. Sarthorael spending so much time on one unit only to lose that first point was a big blunder when one support infantry unit would've made it a quick win. Settra spent way too much time chasing characters. I think if he'd been cycle charging the warriors he would've helped clear them out way earlier. Fun matchup
The Slaanesh Chosen literally coming in with a steel chair. It was one of the last call ins, but with the Ushabti being out of ammo, they killed over 300 skeletons in no time and still had plenty of hp left.
I was full of dread for the chicken there at the end but glad to see they pulled the win. If they'd just cast searing doom on top of sarthoreal at objective 1 they'd have won this comfortably by a minute. Leaving that unit of about 10 skeletons to capture it was a massive blunder.
I miss the way he slunk across the ground. Flying sarthorael feels unnatural. Like an ostrich flying. Those wings are vestigial. That was Kairos in a costume that hides 1 head.
I don’t know if it’s fair to call it a comeback. The warriors player held point advantage all game until the very end. Honestly if the warriors player would have taken advantage of all of the tombkings forces being on points 2 and 3 and rushed 1 I feel the game would have been over way sooner. Those chosen of slaanesh had 2 all by themselves so it woulda made sense to send those afk trolls that were in the TK zone to 1 and maybe spawn some infantry for capture weight.
I was so ready to just rage and turn the video off when I saw yet another "competitive" Chaos build consist of nothing but boring ass marauder spam. Happy to see a Chaos player with a brain bring in some Chosen at the end. So yay Chaos with the rare dub.
Man that was insanely tense at the end. Also always great to some lesser used characters/units make an appearance.
Getting a comeback win from a 6000g value deficit is bonkers, well done from martinius here

spoiler alert... thanks
The dreaded Sarthorael returns from the depths. From the twisted forgotten realm of WH1
He's flies now? He flies now!
Hahaha Sarthoreal so popular, that Turin didn't even know he flies. Just for 2.5 years.

Settra in the mood for some KFC but forgot his wallet at home...
I have no idea avout warriors of chaos meta but this feels like very cool choices of monogod marked units
Wow. That game was crazy at the end, did not think it was possible.
I got into this with the surprise that this domain is something I thought didn't exist at this point hahaha
I love how you highlighted the unique units that came clutch. I would’ve never noticed the nuance.

Ah nothing better than the pocket chosen to close out the game

I've never seen a domination player have that big of a value lead and still lose.

@@SpiceCh In part, yes. I also think Settra having a wet noodle fight in the back line for half the match was a critical fumble.
this is domination not conquest

Maybe a Tomb Scorpion would've been of use against those Chosen?
until it gets swarmed with trolls
what a game!
I wish tomb kings had better infantry, always seems to be the biggest problem for tk is capping points
Sarothel was only walking before
epic game thanks for the cast
Sarthorael the seldomchicken 🥲
Impressive to win from that disadvantage
Unbelievable. Such a crazy game
One of the best games in a while for sure

whats the word on the street for the hellcannon? yay or nay?
I say nay personally. its so innaccurate, yeah if it hits its ok but it usually doesnt
How did WoC win with like half the value of the TK?
Why bring great weapons against tomb kings
Maybe against tomb guard spam; they also don’t do too bad against constructs
nice
