I like how Settra woke up and immediately got to subjugating everything in Nehekhara, and only after he had conquered it he sat down and asked "alright, what the fuck is going on."
Tomb Kings: (Fighting each other) "I AM THE MOST WORTHY TO BE KING." Settra rolling up: " Yo boisss! Heard you were talking shit about who should rule MY empire."
Oh mighty, Settra... I love how one of Settra's titles are "Emperor of the Shifting Sands", and then six titles later, it becomes "Majestic Emperor of the Shifting Sands" Lol
I love how the tomb kings were all like "aight lets just wait till shit gets better" and then shit got soo sooo bad and Settra was like "ok guys lets not do that again" and vowed to never rest again
The Tomb Kings are probably my favorite faction in Warhammer fantasy. They have a feel like something out of old Hollywood. You know what I mean: Dashing upper class explorer discovers an ancient tomb, full of riches beyond imagination, but also filled with legions of undead yearning to be free.
@@Vanic00 Same as there is a reason Nehekhara has never really expanded beyond it's own borders, kept in check just as much by orc, lizard and tribesmen rabble, and of course has just as much infighting as the Elector Counts.
I appreciate the Skaven have as much saved, and in equal measure ruined the (WHFB) world, all for selfish reasons. Skaven 1: "Nagash liche-thing is raising great-big undead army through a mighty spell-spell!" "My lord Settra, all hands are needed this evening! We beg you, can you please carry this soup to table 23?" "FOOL, SETTRA DOES NOT SERVE!"
I was really hoping Nagash was intentionally gonna raise the Tomb Kings expecting them to serve him, and Settra would be like..." SETTRA DOES NOT SERVE!!!"
What I find awesome about Settra is that he’s basically a mish-mash of various legendary historical leaders. He is a glorious, horrifying mix of Alexander the Great, Qin Shi Huang Di and the Pharoah Ozymandias. A mighty conqueror who always wanted more, a seeker of immortality, a unifier of kingdoms, a right and proper ruler.
Alcadizzar haunted the halls of Nagashizzar for days, calling plaintively for a woman that only he could see. His mind shattered by guilt and the torments he’d suffered at the hands of Nagash, he eventually found his way through the fortress gates and onto the shores of the Sour Sea. Still clutching Nagash’s crown, the last king of Khemri disappeared into the wastelands in search of redemption. There are those who believe he wanders there still. They searched the fortress for the largest furnace they could find and filled it with charcoal from the enormous bins that stood outside the forges. Eshreegar and Eekrit took turns working the bellows, until the fire breathed like a living thing and the heat scorched their whiskers. Then they went and raided the nearest mine shaft for all the sky-stone they could carry. ‘Are you sure this is necessary?’ the Master of Treacheries said. ‘Without doubt,’ Eekrit said, tossing a hunk of sky-stone into the furnace. Eshreegar winced. ‘Think of the wealth you’re throwing away! Enough to buy your way back into good graces with the Under-Empire three times over! Enough to make yourself a Grey Lord if you wish!’ Another chunk of stone flew into the furnace’s roaring maw. ‘The mountain is mine now, Eshreegar,’ the former warlord growled. ‘All mine. At this point, I’m richer than the Horned God himself.’ The Master of Treacheries eyed the flames dubiously. ‘What if Velsquee goes back on his word and forgets he ever agreed to give you the mountain?’ Eekrit sniffed. ‘He can either have the mountain or the fell blade. Not both.’ They had recovered the sword and tossed it back into its lead container with as little physical contact as possible. Now it was hidden deep within the bowels of the mountain, where only the two of them would ever find it. ‘If he’s smart, he’ll take the blade back and call it even, and Velsquee is nothing if not very, very smart.’ He threw another two pieces of stone into the furnace, then gestured at the bellows. ‘Stoke the furnace while I get the cart.’ Eshreegar sighed and went to the long, wooden lever. With a grunt, he leapt up and grabbed it, then pulled down with all his weight. Air flowed into the furnace, causing it to roar. Within minutes, the skystone turned molten and the heat within changed from orange-white to a bright, baleful green. Eekrit returned a moment later, dragging a small wooden cart. Piled within was every piece of Nagash’s armour and bone they could find. The former warlord stared down at the remains and shook his head. ‘I still don’t see how we missed his right hand. It couldn’t have just crawled off on its own.’ Eshreegar shook his head. ‘We searched every inch of that dais. If it were there, we would have found it. Nagash’s prisoner must have taken it with him, along with the crown. Nothing else makes sense.’ Eekrit sighed irritably. ‘Perhaps.’ He reached in and rummaged through the pile. ‘Do you really think this will destroy him for good?’ Eshreegar asked, eyeing the roaring furnace. ‘I have no idea,’ Eekrit replied. ‘This is for my own personal pleasure.’ He grunted in satisfaction, and pulled Nagash’s grinning skull from the pile. Eekrit stared at it for a long moment, peering into the depths of its empty eye sockets. ‘I’ve been wanting to do this for a very long time,’ he said, and tossed the skull into the flames.
you see, this is why i love warhammer fantasy over 40k. you get character interactions and in depth stories of stuff that happened thousands of years ago. you would never get something even half as cool as the story of nagash being so deeply explored in 40k. it'd be a lore blurb that was vaugely mentioned and never really explored deeper.
Its an ancient ritual devised by the mortuary cult to eventually summon the the great gods of Khemri: Djaf The Tormentor, Asaph The Sky Dragon, and the Winged Dragon of Ptra. It was determined to be the only way to regain their favor after the desolation of Khemri, however its difficult to gather so much magical energy so they devised a way to generate *Duel Energy* through playing a children's card-game using powerful enchanted cards, and storing this energy in seven artifacts of incredible power, known as the millennium items. These items, in addition to being able to contain great power, also grant their wielder various unique magical abilities. Once sufficient energy had been harnessed, the plan was to gather all seven items together along with the three Khemrian god cards and finally begin the ritual. Unfortunately, one of the millennium items was a relic of nagash and had been tainted with a shard of his soul. This allowed it to retain some amount of his intellegence and knowledge, and craves to return to its master. And so its quest began to create its own corrupted version of this ritual as a means to return its dark master to life instead...
The story of how the Skaven gave Alcadizaar the fellblade and kept him alive in his fight against nagash is one of the most hype things I'd read in a while
This channel is truly the epitome of underrated. These videos are fantastic; everything about them. The narration. The script. The editing. The mini movies made from in game battles, utilizing trailers and even the opening race cinematics. Timing certain things (such as the in game movies) with the narration so that it has more impact. Even down to little things such as the subtitles, are greatly appreciated. Everything about the way you guys tell these stories is perfect IMO. There is so much effort that goes into making these videos and it's truly a damn shame that you guys don't have more subscribers. All Warhammer fans that don't know about this channel are missing out on something incredible.
Really appreciate your words brother. Thank you🙏🙂 It's great to see you are enjoying the content. Any ideas or suggestions you may have feel free to share them anytime.
They only did it because if Nagash had succeeded, he would have had the numbers needed to cleanse the old world of their taint completely. All their actions, good or bad, are done in the self conceives notion that their race is superior and every skaven thinks they're the greatest of their kind
Geez, you know it's an incredible video when it gets me hyped up and excited the entire time while watching it. Especially when I've already read what's going to happen lol Also fun drinking game: take a shot of water every time I say Khemri and really get the phlem going so you can stay hydrated during the video
This is waaaaay better than the Mummy movies Also, I really like how you pronounced Khemri. I thought it was kem-ri, but this is more egyptian-like or exotic
So nobody talked about the fact that Alcadizar just managed to hold the realm together, fight Nagash till his last breath, actually kill Nagash and then decide: "Yeah I'm done" and disappear? Absolute mad lad
Not that he had a choice. The strike against Nagash was the last action of his life, given the blade of the Skaven is one of the most corrupting artifacts there is, aptly named the Fellblade.
I just read finish Rise of Nagash. Having played total war warhammer 2, knowing the locations of the great cities and other landmarks totally added to the reading experience. Definitely would recommend. There is a e-book humble bundle with 7 days left that includes this and other series from the Warhammer universe, thats where I got mine.

I remember playing as high elves, concquering the west new world (from icy realm of Nagarrond to the lush jungle in Tlaxtlan). That is more than enough reason for Khemri pharaoh to ally with me And it did, splendorly beats both orcish horde and lizardmens there
i swear in my total war games, when i play as settra i get the weirdest mix of allies. one game skaven clan skyre was my main ally, another it was the high elves, one time i got chill with the lizardmen somehow. crazy stuff
i would add the book of gotrek and felix that take place in Lybaras in the recomendations. It doesnt tell much about the lore, but give a good insight about the TK themselves, and the difference between them and the dead rised by vampires. Also the army codex 6th edition is great for the stories.
Great thanks to you. This year me with my girl are going to visit LARP as undead and watching a video like this is so much easier and enjoyable than reading a pack of books and the army book.
fuc*ing amazingly done! I was just a bit confused as Settra was depicted as a skeleton in the early part of the video although I guess he still had a human appearance. Thumbs up!
@@excessiveone9952 actually there is a lot of lore About Cathay. Besides the vampire coast is pretty much a footnote in Warhammer fantasy in comparison (most LLs exept Luthor are literally only meantioned in footnotes)
@Templar Knight This is actually really frustrating, 'cause it's true - The Skaven joining Archaeon makes no sense. They might as well have let Nagash finnish the ritual if they are willing to join Chaos and effectively destroy themselves anyway.
Yeah I hate the Endtimes too. Because of that crap, we have the non canon Age of Sigmar. It is non canon because like Disney Star Wars, it sucks, no one likes it, and therefore, it is not canon.
@Templar Knight yeah I agree with your comment on the Skaven allied themselves with Archaon during the late End Times, and it which was like wtf to myself. And not only that, the Skaven should have fight against Archaon the everchosen who was planning to destroy the world.
Thanks, I'm new to Warhammer 2 and bought Tomb Kings DLC. Really like the play, but didn't understand any of the back story. Thanks for the amazing content!
You got yourself a new sub for sure, I’ve been looking for videos talking about the lore of the Total Warhammer world. These are perfect and so well done. I hope CW and GamesWorkshop make a total war game for the 40k era, it looks like that’s where they might be heading. Lord knows 40k needs either a Total War game or a Battlefront 2 type of game.
The tomb Kings my favorite faction in Warhammer fantasy but can you do a video about trogg the troll King I just feel like the only intelligent role Shania bunch of monsters and takedown Bunch trip but interesting
One small detail; the plague that was set loose upon Nehekhara was by Nagash's command however it was not he or his minions that carried it out. Oh no, he made us of some 'allies' that would later betray him and save the world (if only to save themselves of course).
I just finished reading the Nagash omnibus was old lore retconned in it? Because in the books Nagash marched on Nehekara to conquer it bringing his undead legion against Ka-Sabar I think it was and that was the first time Nehekara became aware of the undead horde and his necromancy. He eventually marched on the holy city of Mahrak but couldn't break though their defences. It being the city of worship it was protected by sphinxes that Nagash couldn't break through. His brothers wife Neferem was the link between man and their gods and she was on Nagash's control he killed her which broke the covenant with the gods which took away the magic gifted upon Nehekarans the Sphinxes disappeared and all the Ushabti lost the blessings of power bestowed upon them. Then when he went to assault the city Lahmia turned on Nagash. Lamashizzar King of Lahmia used black powder weapons he got through trade with Cathay to blast apart the undead army and Nagash. All his immortals except Arkhan were killed. Arkhan who had fallen out of favor with Nagash turned on him and aided Lamashizzar leading to his imprisonment by him. Nagash severely wounded and near death fled and that's where he found the mountain with the warpstone and begun work on Nagashizzar.
I wonder if there's any potential for an eventual post-TWW3 prequel campaign set during the Golden Age of Nehekhara, perhaps setting it concurrent with the War of the Beard? CA does seem to love making prequel campaigns...
I read in the fluff that Nagash was first defeated just outside the Charnel Valley with concentrated gunfire. Arkhan was shoved into a jar and shipped to Lhamia. Nagash wandered thru the wilderness with half his head blown away. Nothing about a final battle at Khemri and a noble delaying action by Arkhan.
The Tomb Kings......Once they were humans, like the Ancient Egyptians of our history.....The forces of Good & Evil have been at war for an eternity. The Ancient Gods protected us, yes, the Angels of the Skies and God of Christendom protected our ancestors.
This is awesome. You're narration is very much appreciated. It's much easier and more interesting to learn about the lore when narrated instead of having to read it. I hope you plan on doing videos like this for every faction in the game.
Warhammer is one of the few works of art that REALLY pushes the boundaries of the imagination and EPICNESS, even with their names and titles. So much that its almost like they're touching a chord that's close to reality.
Wait just a quick question, i thought Nagash was defeated outside the walls of Mahrak, his body oblitered by Lahmian Dragon Powder ( Source novel: Rise of Nagash). Its only after that his lesser vessels retreated back to Khemri with the allience of 7 kings in pursuit. When the kings are about to open the coffin where Nagash was, Nagash escaped in a cloud of beetles.

The story of how the Skaven gave Alcadizaar the fellblade and kept him alive in his fight against nagash is one of the most hype things I'd read in a while
The World: *exists*
TK: "IT'S BEEN MY FREE REAL ESTATE FOR MILLENIA"
I like how when Settra woke up he bitch slapped the other tomb kings and asked wtf was going on.
I've recently discovered this channel and I'm quite hooked with it's content.
Welcome brother. Glad to hear you are enjoying the content 😃
Me too it brings everything in warhammer fantasy to life!
20:15 the skaven saving someone?! Amazing! Good on them for being the good guys for once
They only did it because if Nagash had succeeded, he would have had the numbers needed to cleanse the old world of their taint completely. All their actions, good or bad, are done in the self conceives notion that their race is superior and every skaven thinks they're the greatest of their kind
Jomonkey 27 Yea so they got to destroy the world themselves instead XD didn't want tomb kings getting to it before them
Did someone say,
*CALCIUM*
"I've got a *bone* to pick with you, nyeh!"

Geez, you know it's an incredible video when it gets me hyped up and excited the entire time while watching it. Especially when I've already read what's going to happen lol
Also fun drinking game: take a shot of water every time I say Khemri and really get the phlem going so you can stay hydrated during the video
Amazing voice acting Skrubs 🔥
This is waaaaay better than the Mummy movies
Also, I really like how you pronounced Khemri. I thought it was kem-ri, but this is more egyptian-like or exotic
It's also how it's pronounced in game...
The artwork of Tomb Kings from a Warhammer Army book at an old Game Parlor store many years ago captivated me and was my introduction to Warhammer
Nehekara : *exists
Nagash: “it’s free real estate “
Absolutely blown away by the level of production value, yall are definitely not paid enough. Keep it up!
The aesthetic for them is amazing. I am surprised no one has done a vid of their maps yet.
I just read finish Rise of Nagash. Having played total war warhammer 2, knowing the locations of the great cities and other landmarks totally added to the reading experience. Definitely would recommend. There is a e-book humble bundle with 7 days left that includes this and other series from the Warhammer universe, thats where I got mine.

just found this cause my DM gave me a bunch of tomb king troops to build and paint, man i gotta say im digging it and settra is a cool bone bro.
Enjoy your painting time brother 😃🙌🏼 glad you found the channel! May you bring glory to the Tomb Kings in your future battles.
Finally! A video on Nehekara that doesn’t talk about the cities and lands!
the skaven are like a chaotic neutral being. helping when the world is in danger, but also plotting to take that world for themselves.
I remember playing as high elves, concquering the west new world (from icy realm of Nagarrond to the lush jungle in Tlaxtlan). That is more than enough reason for Khemri pharaoh to ally with me
And it did, splendorly beats both orcish horde and lizardmens there
i swear in my total war games, when i play as settra i get the weirdest mix of allies. one game skaven clan skyre was my main ally, another it was the high elves, one time i got chill with the lizardmen somehow. crazy stuff
i would add the book of gotrek and felix that take place in Lybaras in the recomendations. It doesnt tell much about the lore, but give a good insight about the TK themselves, and the difference between them and the dead rised by vampires. Also the army codex 6th edition is great for the stories.
Brother, is this your voice narrating ? freaking good job, you should be official Warhammer universe narrator.
I liked the way you said khemri thanks for the videos you post it’s really fun to watch
"None dared oppose him"
the very next sentence:
"He crushed all opposition".
Him crushing all opposition is why none dared oppose him, I guess.
My all time favourite faction. Thanks for the great video
Thank you for watching! 🙌
Great thanks to you. This year me with my girl are going to visit LARP as undead and watching a video like this is so much easier and enjoyable than reading a pack of books and the army book.
I'm a simple man. I see new Choyer, I click...
Really appreciate it brother. Thank you!!🙌😃
fuc*ing amazingly done! I was just a bit confused as Settra was depicted as a skeleton in the early part of the video although I guess he still had a human appearance. Thumbs up!
Thank you sir! I couldn't find much of Settra before he became a skeleton💀But glad you enjoyed it!
I been slowly running a Nagash army and just recently found out about the Tomb kings and now i want an army of them
Would you be able to do a deep dive into the lore of each chaos gods. Starting from oldest, Nurgle?
Damn skaven you did it you saved the world
Holy sigmar your videos are fun to watch, you guys are the best, period

This Channel is.....magnificent !!
Make pls a Part about cathay, i hope it will be in Total War Warhammer 3.
Greetings from Germany
So do I they have a lot of great unit lore like Terracotta warriors and golden dragons.
Nein
There isn't much info on it at all
@@excessiveone9952 actually there is a lot of lore About Cathay. Besides the vampire coast is pretty much a footnote in Warhammer fantasy in comparison (most LLs exept Luthor are literally only meantioned in footnotes)
You my friend deserve a tv channel. I love your videos. Please make more .
Thank your brother!🙌
Great video as always. you deserve way more views.
Wow, who would have ever thought that the most vile race in Warhammer fantasy would save the world.
The Skaven
@Templar Knight also I agree with you again and the Skaven pretty much fuck themselves during the End Times as well.
Thanks, I'm new to Warhammer 2 and bought Tomb Kings DLC. Really like the play, but didn't understand any of the back story. Thanks for the amazing content!
Glad you found it useful! Enjoy the game Bryan!😃
Egypt being a horror story for itself even in the Warhammer Universe.
The tomb Kings my favorite faction in Warhammer fantasy but can you do a video about trogg the troll King I just feel like the only intelligent role Shania bunch of monsters and takedown Bunch trip but interesting
This is the best warhammer lore video out there! Most are very dry and boring but you are such a great story teller bro.
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!! I am obsessed with Warhammer fantasy lore and you guys are like Discovery or nat Geo for Warhammer.
I really enjoy your approach to Lore videos good work 👍🏻
Best Warhammer fantasy channel out there.
I love this channel. Never stop making videos.
One small detail; the plague that was set loose upon Nehekhara was by Nagash's command however it was not he or his minions that carried it out. Oh no, he made us of some 'allies' that would later betray him and save the world (if only to save themselves of course).
🐀🐀🐀🐀
Yes, I'd buy that. We can only hope 🙏🙂
Nagash not only experimented with necromancy. He freaking invented it.
I remembered the first time Nagash was shot by a gun thus defeated.
I read in the fluff that Nagash was first defeated just outside the Charnel Valley with concentrated gunfire. Arkhan was shoved into a jar and shipped to Lhamia. Nagash wandered thru the wilderness with half his head blown away. Nothing about a final battle at Khemri and a noble delaying action by Arkhan.
just Empire knowledge.
The Tomb Kings......Once they were humans, like the Ancient Egyptians of our history.....The forces of Good & Evil have been at war for an eternity. The Ancient Gods protected us, yes, the Angels of the Skies and God of Christendom protected our ancestors.
What a glorious video this was.
So coming at this as a long time 40k fan that never paid mind to Fantasy Warhammer, they're basically Necrons, but honest with themselves. Got it.
Man these videos are amazing. I don't even play Warhammer. Keep doing what y'all do.
This channel is what got me into Warhammer Fantasy as of now. I only wish I had gotten into this lore earlier
Welcome brother! It's never too late.
This is awesome. You're narration is very much appreciated. It's much easier and more interesting to learn about the lore when narrated instead of having to read it.
I hope you plan on doing videos like this for every faction in the game.
I'm glad to hear that my friend! And yes that's the plan in the long term. I hope I can do each race their justice :) Cheers!
Why do you only have 60k subs like this is content of higher quality than 99% of the rest of UA-cam
🙏🙂 I appreciate your kind words. Thank you.
The powerful priest performed profane experiments. 13:50, dont think i didnt notice that VERY purposeful choice of words
great video, and for those interested i higly recommend The Rise of Nagash trilogy.
How does this not have more views
That AC:Origins footage :)))
Love the use of Assassin's Creed Origins pictures to blend the lore with something visual

I love this, more Warhammer Fantasy Lore videos is always a nice thing and I LOVE the way you present these stories! keep it up!

I hope you make the story one day from the norsca warshief stealing the Crown of Settra.
Yes! The War of Snow and Sand I think it's called. Will definitely do that sometime. I have that one in the to-do list.
Warhammer is one of the few works of art that REALLY pushes the boundaries of the imagination and EPICNESS, even with their names and titles. So much that its almost like they're touching a chord that's close to reality.
Nurgle: So no rot and decay? *Slams phone on the ground*
so did the recon the undead army to be a clone of the necrons lore or did this come first?
These movies help me relax especially the narration thanks scrubasaurus
Wait just a quick question, i thought Nagash was defeated outside the walls of Mahrak, his body oblitered by Lahmian Dragon Powder ( Source novel: Rise of Nagash). Its only after that his lesser vessels retreated back to Khemri with the allience of 7 kings in pursuit. When the kings are about to open the coffin where Nagash was, Nagash escaped in a cloud of beetles.
you make such great videos man. the youtube community of TW warhammer is half of the reason i love the game.
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks a lot!
