Although I am aware that many of our fellow collectors were let down by her lack of sophistication, I believe she is stunning just the way she is, and I absolutely love her! I am grateful that Disney created a 17" Limited Edition Asha Doll for us true fans. The low edition size also makes her extra special. Excellent review!
I'm still surprised they made Asha a year after her release. but wow, they didn't disappoint. I really wish we could get Eilwony next year. but I know that won't happen.
Looking at Brittney Lee's concept art, I'm so disappointed that they didn't use Asha's orange dress; it'd make her stand out if she had become a Disney princess (assuming her writing and the film's writing was better).
I just rode Tiana today and got the new limited edition doll for her finale ride outfit. Will you do a review on her? It is a DIsneyland exclusive I believe. She is sold in a shop by the Blue Bayou.
honestly I do get why raya was never made into a doll,, the representation of that movie was such a fundamental failure and the appropriation and mishmashing of seasian culture was rlly disheartening esp whithin our community.
While I wish the film was better done--including the ultures ut represented (I keep imagining Heart as Vietnam due to Kelly voicing Raya and the whole "dep la" nickname or Malaysian due to Raya's name)--Raya herself has earned a spot as a Disney princess, imo; her personality was such a breath of fresh air.
shes beatiful
