Shinedown has never been my favorite band, but i've always enjoyed them. I got to see them live a few years ago while going to see Godmack and I'll be honest, Shinedown is hands down the best live band I've ever seen, when they left the stage and Godsmack came on I was actually disappointed. I appreciate the video for the people complaining about the tracks sound guys that did work for them have said it was a mix of tracks and live vocals for choruses only and he was singing everything. They have had less tracks with each tour. Brent admitted he did damage to his voice because he wasn't taught how to sing properly besides all the other things he did. He has had vocal lessons and has been healing. He has said he couldn't hear he did have issues with that. He also got back on drugs before TTS tour and was sick for the tour. Tracks were definitely used but he said he felt like dying on stage he was in pain. Zach never said lead vocals were ever on tracks. All these have been mentioned in interviews. He is out front the stage can be seen from all angles and back with Barry people are on the sides of the stage. He isn't hiding he doesn't run all around like he did. He is singing without the tracks. Some tracks are used for backing and other music but that is him singing.

It's hard to believe seeing them just hanging at the local clubs in Jacksonville Beach, could sit around for hours shooting the shit with brent. They played #free #live several times, did a Hurricane 🌀🌀 Katrina Benefit Concert Show There. Now are the best in land. ❤❤❤

I'm just wondering how many people noticed while watching this video have noticed that Brent is wearing 2 different sneakers/T*shoes ON ...........I'M 63 AND DON'T MISS MUCH
I was there and noticed. My husband I noticed it when we saw them in Birmingham and Knoxville, too. The radio tour they just did in July, someone asked him during a Q a d A, (you can find it on some of the clips) if there was reason. Paraphrasing, he eluded that it was kind of accidental at first and just thought he would keep doing it. It's kind of become joke between my husband and me. Diamond eyes didn't have much backing tracks they used to have alot more they have been using them less. I never cared I know he is amazing live singer & if it helped him keep his voice 20 years after touring for so long I'll take it.
@@maryhelenbuchele7342 Oh Im sure he's singing into the mic for every note but its not going out into the PA for alot of the choruses, especially the older songs written with a 15-20 year old younger Brent in mind... He is a great live performer but especially songs like Second chance you can hear when the mic is cut out in favor of a pre recorded vocal. It goes from him sounding tensed and slightly low on alot of notes to as clean as a studio recording for 16 bars before going back to sounding like a bit of a struggle to reach lower notes than he just "hit" with perfect pitch 2 bars earlier. I dont wanna take anything away from Brent but saying every note you hear is him singing live would just be objectively false
Those who bitch about the backing tracks should check what happened to Phil Collins and Freddie Mercury. Mercury sounded like absolute shit during the works tour, mostly because of the way he destroyed his voice during the Hot Space tour. The Live Aid performance was 2 months after finishing the tour, that's why it sounded so good, he actually had some time to recover. Collins started losing his voice during the No Ticked Required tour, to the point he could barely sing for the Genesis tour that came right after it. They both still sounded great, way better than some bands today, but there was a dip in performance, you cannot deny it.
