i lost my dad last October and i said the same thing.... he was fighting Cancer and on pain meds that pretty much
knocked him unconscious but we knew he could hear us in his last moments. Sorry for your loss.
I lost my dad a year ago and this song broke me. He loved music and the original was always one of many songs I remember hearing growing up. He took died of cancer, two weeks after a diagnosis and he was gone.

I cried so hard during the finale, and it was in large part due to this cover. I finished the show a few days ago and just listened to the original Kansas song then decided to look this up. I was not prepared for how much I cried when the chorus hit. This is an absolutely fantastic cover, and I'm so glad it appeared on the show. Thank you.

I never heard of Neoni prior to tonight's episode of Supernatural, and the fact this song plays as Sam enters heaven, is VERY fitting, their voices create an angelic tone to a song that has become the anthem of this series.

Weirdly enough, one of the saddest parts of the finale to me was when Old Man Sam gets in the Impala and you can see all the emotion going through him. I'm sure a mix of things. Pain of loss of youth and being physically able to hunt. Now he's just too old and doesn't have the same strength and stamina and that car brings back so many memories of when he was strong and young and of course his brother. It was a short montage for us, but it was half a lifetime for Sam. Anyone who's ever lost some one knows thats a long time to wait to see someone again.
That's one reason it was so sad to me.Thinking of Sam going through the rest of his life without his brother 💔💔💔

Such a beautiful way to show that the pain remains, in its little chamber in your heart, mostly tucked away to allow you to still feel happiness, but an old friend you go to visit on occasion, bittersweet, and then you go back. You don't have to let go of what you are grieving for, to welcome peace in your own life. You just come to terms with acceptance.
That was not the case in this scene. It was that it was his brothers car... he was in pain with loss of Dean. When he drove the Impala Dean was by his side. That was the scenes purpose

After rewatching the finalé again I became curious about this cover and it led me here. Now I see the journey you have been on, making this nearly three years ago, hoping it got noticed and finally getting your work into the final episode. It's one of the most inspiring things ever. Every time I think about it it makes me smile.
Imagine as well that we've been big fans of the show for the last decade!! It was right around the time we both started playing music we binge-watched seasons 1-4 on Netflix during a snowstorm in Colorado. Now fast forward to our reimagined version and filming this DIY video intentionally trying to catch the eye of Kansas & SPN and it having it actually work for the finale!!! still just blown away!! This song was absolutely perfect. I could never imagine the ending without this version. It was magical. I am so sad its done but I am beyond happy for the incredible ending. I was in tears. 15 years as a devoted fan is a very long time. It ended perfectly. Sam and Dean together again as always. Just added this song to my Playlist after a google search for the artists. I was thinking how cool it could have been for you guys to have been in the ending clips when sam is dying and you guys come in as his granddaughters with his son to say goodbye.
