    Why are people picking with you about specifics on what "prep" is. Prep levels? C'mon people she has more important things to think about.

    Just love your channel for easy, cheap vegetarian meals. I am worn out the many other channels that are showing perfectly manicured massive kitchens with very, very expensive ingredients. Thanks for sharing.

      Thank you ❤️ I like to remind people I’m just a normal person I just happen to prop a camera up and talk to myself for an hour while I meal prep 🤣 nothing fancy here but I always hope to encourage others!

    OM'Goodness!! That is such an easy meal prep. I really like the idea of everything individual. That way you can change it up. I have roasted sweet potato with butterbut squash and other veggies with Mrs. Dash seasoning. Soooooo Good!! I have never been a salad eater. You made me one today. Lol. I am so happy to find your channel. You make simple delicious food and i enjoy your videos. Congratulations on the pregnancy. I had three easy pregnancies. I say easy because it wasn't challenging as most. But, still pregnancy is exhausting and scary. I don't miss the downs. But, i do miss the joys. There is nothing like growing a little human. It's crazy and so rewarding. My challenges were from birth to.........still happening. Lol. Kids are funny and make you go into crazy mom mode. Lol
    The love we share is a bond like nothing I've experienced. Blessings to you and your family!! ❤

    I'm on the junk food, fast food train and I know it's awful so I appreciate the ideas for quick meals. I say if convenience items like shredded carrots are great if they help you avoid wasting food. I love baby carrots and mom thinks they are stupid lol But I can grab a handful as a snack and keep moving, chop for a salad and throw on a pan to roast. Time is valuable and food is too expensive to waste

      100%! This is so true! Some times healthful convenient foods mean we pick the “better” option when we need to save time!!

    Meal prep should be any kind of prep that makes your meals easier! Full plates of food works for some, components works for others. Who cares?? Ugh... I buy sweet potatoes whole too (.69/lb in the midwest) and love the convenience of butternut squash cubes - they're a lot more work to peel and cut up! Easy wins the day.... I've been buying bagged chopped salads lately, and they have been so awesome. I throw out the dressing (too much oil) and usually use the toppings. I make a sweet smoky dressing or use TJ's vegan green goddess. I add a bowl of soup, cooked lentils, chickpea salad or a bean burger, and there's dinner. Breakfast is oatmeal, and lunch is yogurt and fruit usually. Works for me.

      I have thought about getting those salad mixes but I don’t like the dressing or the toppings so I wish they just sold the mixes!

    I made falafel and quinoa wraps today. Made salad and dressing a couple of days ago. Cooked rice ahead for fried rice. Red lentils soaked for red lentil buns and moong dal soaked for copycat Just Eggs. The "eggs" will be for the fried rice. Sure wish there was a Trader Joe's near me. The closest one is over an hour away.

    Some Boca burgers have cheese in them, so if you are concerned about that, look for the packages that have the vegan label on them. I bought a ton of them when we went shopping in the States because they were cheap at Walmart. When I got home I noticed some were and some weren't. I would consider this a meal prep! People are too picky sometimes!

    • @flourishingmiranda
      @flourishingmiranda  6 місяців тому +1

      I don’t care if they have cheese ❤️ but yes if people care they can read the package it’s usually in bold print on the front and back!

    I agree with you Miranda. your prepping for the meals your going to eat with in 3 to 4 days. they must be young and need to use weird words for normal things. or I'm to old... I'm diabetic and I'm trying to up my protein. So I have been eating cottage cheese and dark red cherry's(frozen dept) I'm hooked on the dark red cherries. you might try a bag see if you like them.

    Thanks for sharing this. It wouldnt have occured to me to put roasted sweet potatoes over a salad, but it sounds tasty, and i am going to try it. I used to make green beans with a nightshade free bbq sauce or dry spice rub, to put on salads, and they were super tasty, so this is a reminder for that too. Utternut squash is easier to slice as you did thr dweet potatos, bu peeling first, and, you can pierce and roast them whole, then cut, which is easiest, and makes great soup.

    I haven't been to TJ's very often, but that's great to know about the sweet potato pricing, thanks! It's meal prepping if you are preparing food for meals - no matter how you go at it! I meal prep once a week, and try to keep the grocery shopping to twice per month, but there's always a bit of flexibility in there.

    Hey, hot tip! That cooking spray can really mess up your nonstick pans. They have something in them (silicone?) that sticks to nonstick and causes the pans to become less nonstick over time.

    • @flourishingmiranda
      @flourishingmiranda  6 місяців тому

      Yes, I know! These pans are super old and they lost the nonstick element a long time ago, ones I won’t be rebuying ever but they still work so I haven’t tossed them I just add a little cooking spray when needed! Usually if I water sauté they don’t stick when heated like a stainless pan

    I think you mean semiweekly. That is 2x per week. Bi-weekly would be every other week.

    • @flourishingmiranda
      @flourishingmiranda  6 місяців тому +1

      Biweekly and bimonthly can mean the same thing because of the prefix bi-, which here can mean “occurring every two” or “occurring twice in.” Therefore, biweekly can be “twice in a week” or “every other week.” Bimonthly can also mean "every other week" if it's twice in a month, or it can mean “every other month.”
