If you can't get at the roots, you can poison a bramble with white vinegar* and a test tube. Nip off the end of the tendril and put the test tube with the vinegar over the tendril. Do the same for all tendrils. Takes a day or two to work. (*also called cristal vinegar or household vinegar)

Any recommendations for when you can't crawl into your shrubs (in my case a combination of density and spikes) to remove the roots?
Cut it down with strimmer then dig up roots, only way unless you use weed killer
