OMG! That is TOTALLY AWESOME. However, I just use a remote trigger. Not as eloquent, or as sophisticated, but I don't have to go through an hour of set up each time I want to take a selfie! Seriously awesome work, guys. Just amazing. I am in awe!
Hey Havesh! This was shot on a Canon XF300. It's a pretty crappy camera in my opinion but it's all we had. We used autofocus. And it has a built-in lens
I LOVE the look of like "uhhh... what now?" at the end hahaha! Total disbelief and utter joy all at once lol. AWESOME JOB GUYS! Your work was well worth it!
Awesome video you guys with 2D Photography. There are some things I didn't understand how it was gone. Two of those things I'm curious to know as of now is how does the printer make a printed photocopy of that women? And how did they get Mario to jump twice on the tv screen as Mario was sliding across behind it?
Hello Archer, The printer was triggers earlier, just after the cog was rolling - before her photos was taken, something hits the enter button on a keyboard, which starts the printer to print a queued up file. The mario was similar. The basketball rolls onto another keyboard and lands on the spacebar, playing a movie that was perfectly timed to the mario guy sliding across. The movie is one we made and used an image of the studio to match up with the spot in the rube goldberg machine and animated the action of mario jumping.
With unelaborated yet humbling virtue, simply "Wow." more than satisfies and enlightens my spirits. Thank you, hilleltaco for your sincere remark. It registers infinitely deeper than no remark at all. - Yours, David Dvir - 2D House Inc.
Everyday examples of physics that when put together becomes an almost mesmerizing experience. So much thought went into setting this up. I get an eye ache just thinking about it. Loved it!!!
I hear the reference loves you, too. It's seen you watching while it's 69'ing with the Honda cog reference and wants you to know that it's cool. It's into that sort of thing. You should give it a call and you can all reference stuff together. The names of Apple™ type products or just simple homages to Rube Goldberg machines. It's all good. Then the OK reference turned the heat up and opened a bottle of red wine. Things really started to get weird so I left but if you want to freak, call..
This is a good one! I love all the different stuff you used too for this. It's so well coordinated, and i love your studio too, Just one question..... HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO IT IN ONE SHOT?....I cant even pull it off!?!?!
Most photography videos on UA-cam are utter crap... but oh, how you've taken the art of YouTubing to a whole new level! This was worth the four minutes and 12 seconds.
We were fortunate in that a nearby business had it and let us borrow it. It was pretty lucky overall that they had an extra freaking conveyer belt lying around. We gave it back when we were done!
I love how it was themed. Most Rube Goldberg machines are impressive in their own right but this took it to another level! Good job guys.
Sleep 😴
Lock down💔😭
So much creativity has been put into all of that goldberg machine just to get a portrait picture taken.
Thats what a rube machine is, trying to make a simple task very complex
I sentimentally feel very relaxed and entertained at the same time while watching this! Ah, the memories of this video are totally unforgotten.
I remember watching this as a kid 😭
Me too😢
2:24 well, now we know about how many times it took for them to get a good run through it. (the popped balloon shreds)
Lol
i remember watching this when I was younger, and watching this now it’s still very satisfying!

Thank you, Gary.
Gary C Oh man that's what Rube Goldberg contraption means haha.
Wong, I know. Sometimes my humor is VERY dry, and it misses with people.
Gary C This is my sense of humor, and I dream of the day where everyone will understand it.
I'm just curious... what type of camera and lens was used to film this?
Hey Havesh! This was shot on a Canon XF300. It's a pretty crappy camera in my opinion but it's all we had. We used autofocus. And it has a built-in lens

AWESOME MACHINE YOU GUYS ARE BRILLIANT!? Did anyone else catch the "OKGO" - "This too shall pass" reference at 2:38 :D
+Ethan Angelos And just before that was Honda's emblem, likely a reference to Honda's classic "The Cog" Rube Goldberg commercial.
Yeah I did
Oh yeah!
duh
Ethan Angelos I saw it too
My.
This video got me jaw-dropping for 5 minutes !
Considering it lasts only 4:12, that's not bad at all.
This man is truly ahead of this generation, his imagination is unimaginable!!
T'was a coffee mug, sir. Took a good number of repeated beating without any damage. :)

Oh man! You're RIGHT!!! I can't believe we didn't think of that. I guess we lucked out :P.
These guys are genius indeed...just look how skillfully they take their photos.Thatis amazing.

That was amazing! You guys are awesome!
This is beyond clever. But the creative use of photographs and the animations you made with the series of photos is genius. Good work!

Wow. This is insane. :o Thank you for making this!
This is AWESOME!! I like this way better than the more fast paced ones that you can’t even see what’s going on.
A bit disappointed you didn't end with "wait, we need a reshoot. I blinked."
Reference to the end of the music video for Ok Go: This Too Shall Pass.
Works can not describe how incredibly awesome this is.
Thank you! We have been quite busy actually. Although for the record, not a single piece of gear was harmed (believe it or not). :)
Whelp, there goes 3,000 dollars of camera equipment.
Actually there was a grand total of $0 worth of gear lost :)!

I cringed when the lens got knocked, but I've had a lot of bad luck with cameras lately...
