First of the rules when you are diving with mola sp., DO NOT USE TORCH OR FLASHES!!!! Second of the rules, NEVER STAY UNDER THE MOLA. And last comment, this not mola mola, it is MOLA ALEXANDRINI.
Are these your rules? I have not heard either of these two rules. Technically this is most probably Mola alexandrini but since that reclassification/clarification of ID is a relatively recent phenomenon most people worldwide refer to this animal as a Mola mola so we opted to continue to do so to make the video more accessible to our audience. This is a diving show not a science show.
Not, this is not my rules, this is the rules from the Department Of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Bali Government. Code of interact with sunfish: 1º.- Keep your distance. 2º.- Do not touch. 3º.- Do not block sunfish route. 4º.- Swim slowly. 5º.- Do not use flash or torches. 6º.- Do not disturb cleaning process. 7º.- Always follow the code of conduct. 8º.- Report any damaging activities. 9º.- Do not swim under the mola. If you want i can send you the letter with the rules. Otherwise your are talking about Nusa Penida, but you filmed mola in the Blue Corner, Nusa Lembongan. It is not important, it is posible to found mola all the area. Even is it not one science show, it is not necessary to teach something wrong. Anyway, congrats for your videos.
Thanks for listing the rules here - none of those were made clear to us before filming but now we know so can stick to them in the future. Did you like the video?
Yeah it is, I've been going back and forth on picking one up and a housing or getting a housing for my scarlet. Pros and cons to both but both are pricey haha. Can't wait to see more footage from you.
The GH5 portability and quality is such a big plus for travelling and locations you have to hike too. Seem to be the go to camera for underwater right now. A local company here has been using GH4s for awhile for the same reason.
I cannot Express with words how much I hate this fish, what a pathetic excuse of an animal. Absolutely tragic this abomination has survived for so long. Literally the worst thing on the planet, including cancer and aids.
It's been a lovely series and thank you for sharing your experiences with us and inspiring us. Looking forward it the next season.
komodooooooo !! fans are waiting :)
